Nah, I’d eat it, and I think I have. Since I brought the same thing aboard. I never throw away since I cannot be without them🥹 and I’m fine. I just finished the pack. Oh and well, so it’s high in salt content. I don’t know how high, but that’s why I feel ok about it. It’s a kind of pickle.

That’s garlic in pickled plum. It’s really good with sake. It doesn’t look expired to me, but I’d have to smell and taste them to be sure. Usually, that kind of garlic is first pickled in vinegar and then marinated in pickled plum paste, which keeps it good for ages because of the high salt and citric acid. It’s essentially a preserve. If you’re not sure, just toss them, but if you decide to try them, make sure to keep them in the fridge after opening.
