Thanks a lot. We are planning our second trip to Japan in 2026.Possible dates are 12.-28.3., or 7.-20.4. We wanted to focus more on western part, Osaka, Kyoto, Nagasaki,….but we are willing to go also bit west in order to see possibly all stages of 🍒.Any views? Thx
Very interesting video, but I wish I had known earlier, I have already booked everything and cannot change the dates.
With the current forecast at the end of February and your recommendation, I will probably be about 1 week too early for the perfect time for most of the places I want to visit if I go with the dates from the website.
I'm still hoping to see at least some cherry blossoms, even if I don't get to see the blizzard or carpet phase.
Where did all the cherry blossoms trees come from? My wife says they brought it over from Korea.
Perfect timing! I arrive on April 2 and will be in Kansai area until the 21st then I will head to Hokkaido and will arrive back in Tokyo just after Golden Week!

This explains a lot. We went to Tokyo and Kyoto in 2024 from April 1-9 and the cherry blossoms were off the charts- absolutely perfect! But according to the forecasts, we should have been late for them. We're going back this year in April, starting in Fukuoka and moving north towards Tokyo over the month and I have a feeling we'll see the cherry blossoms for a quite a few weeks into April.
In other words, even if it says they bloom at the end of March, I feel like you still see them in the height of their beauty for quite a few weeks after that. Also, hasn't it been especially cold in Japan this year? Will that delay the blossoms even more? Not really that important because I love the country so much, the cherry blossoms are simply a bonus.
