In the US we got the Chevy LUV, which was a Japanese truck built by Isuzu and imported by General Motors. The truck was based on a small car in the Isuzu lineup, called the Florian. The Chevy LUV was based on the first facelift version of the Florian. In Japan you could get these in a sedan or a wagon, or what they called a “van”. We have a Chevy LUV of this era, and I dream of importing a Florian van to the states since we are station wagon fanatics. Unfortunately there isn’t a huge import market for these, so locating one has proven difficult. Anyone have any recommendations on where to find one of these, or who to contact that can find one for me? I know there likely aren’t many around, but I’d take one in just about any shape. I wish Chevy had imported these and sold them here too!
