Today we set out to tour the city of Nagasaki on the Northwest coast of the island of Kyushu. The journey begins with a walk through the city, strolling the streets in the rain, tracking down geocaches, and checking out the sights. When the road leads to Kotaiji Temple we begin to ascend, through an ancient cemetery, up to the summit at Kazagashira Park to enjoy a spectacular view of the city. The trip through the city winds toward its end with a visit to the Nagasaki Atomic Bomb Museum and the Nagasaki National Peace Memorial Hall for the Atomic Bomb Victims. After paying our respects to the victims we stop by the Peace Statue at the end of Peace Park, concluding our journey for the day through the city of Nagasaki.
