running through the video and linking each destination. The unique
selling point of the Setouchi for the target audience is not ostentatious or
lavish offerings, but unbeatable natural landscapes, profound culture,
beautiful villages and local people leading idyllic lives. This is an
authentic picture of Japan set within breathtaking scenery.
The scenes will be almost dreamlike in their relaxed and calm nature.
The glittering water of the Seto Inland Sea, the delicious hanging citrus,
idyllic islands and fishing boats floating on the water.
The scenes will give a first-person perspective of the journey – but
without revealing too much.
The locations chosen for the video aim to showcase the variety and
highlights of the Setouchi region – history, art, gastronomy, culture.

If you're thinking of doing the Shimanami Kaido, consider basing yourself on one of the islands (Omishima recommended) and taking a couple of days to explore the area rather than just blasting through it in a day. Spent four days in the area and still didn't manage to see everything.
