China Eastern | Shanghai to Beijing (A330)

CHINA EASTERN FLIGHT 5123 FROM SHANGHAI (SHA) TO BEIJING (PEK):

AIRCRAFT: This 2 hour flight operates on an Airbus A330, a plane that is usually used for intercontinental flights. The seat arrangement is 2-4-2, leg room is decent and seats are spaced as if the plane where flying long-haul routes. The plane did not appear to be new, although the interior was well kept.

ENTERTAINMENT: Each seat back is equipped with a 10 inch touchscreen. There is on-demand entertainment available with plenty of choices in English. In addition, there are games available and they can be played using a separate remote.

MEAL SERVICE: The flight includes one full, hot meat. In this occasion the meal was a noodle dish, fresh fruit, some kind of salad, and a couple lemon cookies for dessert. I was thoroughly impressed by the fact that such a complete meal was provided for a short flight.

ADDITIONAL NOTES: When landing at Beijing Capitol Airport there was not a flight bridge to connect the plane to the terminal, busses were used to transport passengers.
