August 7, 2011 on the island of Miyajima at Tsutsumigaura beach park, the annual Sundance festival was held. Hip-hop & salsa dancing on the main stage, DJ booths, House music, Breakbeats, Drum & Bass, Reggae could all be heard around the field.
Volleyball net was busy all day, the soccer goals got some sweaty action and there was a kids pool for the little ones to enjoy this year too.
Lots of festival food including curry & nan, tacos, Japanese foods, shaved ice (kaki-gori) and other treats. Most festival goers were proudly displaying their beautiful bodies and tattoos- very different from the usual beach scene in Japan.
