You can get houses for a song on Shikoku.
If a bunch of people did that, the locals wouldn’t be able to afford anything, because I assume that would sky rocket the pricing just like it’s doing here
It’s not an investment the same way property in the US or UK is though. Houses in Japan decrease in value the moment you buy them, similar to buying a car.
But why is it less? Is it due to earthquakes and tsunamis ??
8 hours away is supposed to be close? It's not like it's a daily commute.
