Driving to Lake Kawaguchi to see Mt Fuji!!
Save for a Mt Fuji day trip recommendation! Renting a car in Japan is not too bad in my opinion, safe drivers all around and rentals aren’t too expensive. Downside is fuel costs around $2 (AUD) per litre and toll is 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗶𝘃𝗲. A car of 4 people might be more worth it! Upside is that you can visit all the main areas around the five lakes to view Mt Fuji!
Highly recommended areas such as
• Lawson at Kawaguchiko Station
• Chureito Pagoda
• Oshino Hakkai
• Lake Kawaguchiko (ofc – but I did not have a good video of this as the lake is cloudy and the rain was pouring)
That being said, it is not that easy to see Mt. Fuji because the weather can be quite cloudy especially during the colder months so it was quite sad but overall highly recommended! Will see the elusive Fuji-san on the next trip back to Tokyo :))
