These odd rocks, Ebisu-iwa & Daikoku-iwa of Yoichi in western Hokkaido were named after a pair of deities who bring prosperity to fishermen and farmers. The blessed province is dotted with marvelous fishing spots, seafood restaurants, vineyards & orchards, and wineries & distilleries, not to mention the stunning scenery of the Niseko-Shakotan-Otaru Kaigan Quasi-National Park.
