[Music] welcome to ninja monkey everyone uh we are back or I’m back well we are back I guess collectively I’m back from my work trip and we can finally get our our I I forgot how to stream it seems I’ve forgotten how to stream but welcome back for those of you who are who are new to the channel I am Nathan let me just make sure that the music isn’t too loud um my name is Nathan I’m ninja monkey and I make content as a tourist for tourists so if you are planning a trip to Japan about to go to Japan thinking about going to Japan this is a channel for you I think I set myself apart by being a little bit different to other people because I really am a tourist I actually go and travel to Japan as a tourist many times a year um this is my 10th year traveling to Japan and um and therefore I tend to try to explore things that tourists would normally do and give you advice and information from a tourist point of view and I know that there’s a lot lots of other um content creators who are not tourists who live in Japan some of them might even Japanese and I honestly think that their take on things although very interesting might not be the take that you might be wanting to to um to follow if that makes any sense because um ultimately when you’re living in a country for a very long time and if you are Japanese and you you haven’t um actually been traveling to Japan as a tourist you’re going to have a very different um Outlook and a very different experience to say the least so anyway as always thank you for being here um happy Sunday as you can see it’s a little bit of a different um background why because it’s hot now here in jalta and um this is the only room that has air conditioning so I moved everything over here to the air conditioned room so that I can be a little bit more more comfortable and just to remind you of some of the rules up there it says at ninja monkey guy or write question to get my attention as always I will be prioritizing members patrons and super chats for those who have questions but I am one of those people who love interacting and speaking to and reading most of the comments but I usually do prioritize questions so let’s get started I’ve spoken for quite a bit there howdy Bojo pigeon how are you doing hello samel thanks for being here Blue Sky Property Services evening oo girl Wonder down under how are you doing awesome awesome awesome Walt crab thanks for being here and we’re waiting for the live stream to start it started how’s it going only one night it’s going well I think here anyway um and Misa how are you doing awesome awesome awesome welcome back I am a little bit tired but it’s all good it’s all good it’s all good going to Japan in two weeks for the first time so excited your videos and these streams have been so helpful I’m glad ultimately that’s what the whole point of this channel is it’s a I want this channel to be the number one Japan travel planning if that makes any sense um Channel I’ve been working very hard to create content that I think is usable useful easy to understand and um hopefully make you a more confident traveler Japan Japan itchy ban how are you doing thanks for being here for those of you who don’t know Japan Japan Japan this guy here he’s got an A Facebook community and page so check out his stuff Gian hey hey hey I am here I am here SAA is here also Misa hey no questions everybody’s just everyone is just um saying hello just hanging out that’s fine too that’s fine too but remember this is the perfect opportunity to ask any other the questions that been bugging you I can try to give you my advice and uh um I am very very honest if I don’t have the answer I just can’t answer it right gr hey just watch your latest video great advice thanks yeah I mean I think it’s very important to know what you’re up against what’s coming up what changes are going to happen um just so that you can get ahead of things mitigate for any any any things that you might catch you off off guard so therefore that’s why I think um update videos are so important just so that you have a good idea of what’s going on good evening Nathan and everyone who man hey hey hey hopefully you’re rested I am rested but you could probably hear in my voice my voice is not rested what was your most memorable moment in Japan ninja monkey guy Gian that’s a great question I have various um different memorable um times I think I can’t choose one but I can choose multiple ones for example I think that actually climbing Mount Fuji I mentioned it in my last video um is one of my most memorable um moments to be honest I was very lucky I got very good conditions for climbing Mount Fuji and um and that moment was quite special other um moments I would highly put put up my list of of top memorable moments have been um carrying a m mikochi Shrine a local local biki Shrine um in a matsi that was randomly um I was randomly invited to and um I think that meeting people I think when it comes to memorable moments most of them include people meeting meeting um doing meetups or just meeting people Japan is a very beautiful country and there’s so much to see that it’s very difficult to choose some of those top moments what are yours by the way thank you so much saica hey Arin how you doing the number one ja planning Channel love it ja planning let’s ja plan together right are you back in England Japan Japan Japan yes he is I believe yeah yeah yeah ninja Mony guy it’s a nice update that Japan will be using QR codes instead of IC cards wait a minute the I I need to I need to um clarify something the QR codes are replacing Paper Tickets there’s no mention of it replacing IC cards I actually highly doubt they will that they will be replacing IC cards I think personally that sua Paso Etc will continue as normal and that QR code will will become just a replacement for for the um for the paper ticket meaning that you can still go to a vending machine and it will print out a QR code instead of a of a metal strip card and the one of the main reasons for doing this is actually environmental um reasons and also to speed things up the paper current Paper Tickets they have a metallic strip which makes it a little bit difficult to to recycle and it makes it timely and difficult to to process Etc so by having just a printed QR code it means that recycling is much easier it’s uh more environmentally friendly and also it means that by scanning a QR code hopefully the system will be super fast it will also mean that that um that there won’t be as many ticket jams because you won’t be inserting a ticket obviously um so in regards to Sweet C passible I don’t think that’s going to change I think the only difference is going to be that instead of having a paper ticket you’ll be able to use a QR code which is great and hopefully it will mean that you will be will be able to to have some some kind of a a QR code on your phone obviously this isn’t out till 2026 2027 so um we’ll have to wait and see what happens if things become more unified if this leads to unification of um of more Railways they they’ve already said that this system I think it’s JR East plus seven other networks and rail networks will be working in tandem with one another so we’ll see where that leads it’s very exciting I agree I think DC cards will just coexist I agree I agree thanks so much Twitter Cliff dog um yeah I missed out a few things I was going to include the the discussion that’s going on regarding the no drinking in chibuya but I’m holding off on that because at the moment it’s very very early it’s not really new news um it happened for Halloween and this discussion I’m going to see where it goes I’m going to see if it if it you know gets any more momentum before I include it in an update so yeah ooh awesome awesome awesome last trip Bojo one of the hotels I stayed at and a Railway Hotel use QR codes for its room keys nice I mean I’ve QR codes are not new they are used in certain um certain ways in Railways but they’re just not common I think IC cards will go digital for Android also and you’ll have to scan your QR code at the gate like you do now for the shin Canen maybe maybe we’ll see which places will you not go I’m not very sure what you’re referring to as which places will I not go um let’s see hey little big sis how you doing I want to buy an old PSP what’s the best St price book off super potato people said akabar is best but expensive your thoughts um I think that when it comes to purchasing retro and old like U stuff you need to do your research and you need to do some some shopping around akiabara has become a little bit of a Mecca and in the same way that you can find some really good deals you can also find some really expensive stuff too and there will be other stores and for example other book offs that are not in aaba maybe further away that um that might be worth your your you know your time but at the same time time is precious time is valuable so do you really want to like is it worth the extra few bucks to you know to search for stuff I don’t know when it comes to things like that I tend to pretty much just um find something I usually have a a price point in mind and and if I match that price point or get it below then um I’ll be happy but yeah akab will definitely be a place where you’ll be able to find lots of stores selling those those type of of goods and actually next video is an aiab guide so look forward to that so Drea pass QR code probably probably and that would be pretty cool if it’s worth getting a a a Jr pass it would be pretty cool to have a QR code Jr pass right in the future um although I I don’t know how that would work because um it’s only Jr East at the moment and the Nationwide Jr pass is the whole of the nation and obviously not the whole nation will have QR codes so I have no idea how they would manage to sort that out did you ever have any culture shock when visiting Japan for the first time yes absolutely um I think think the very first time that I visited Japan I remember I was a little bit petrified of getting from the station hucho station and on the monil and I stayed in ham matuch the very first time because it was literally the last line on the mon Rail and I knew that it wouldn’t go any further and I knew that I wasn’t going to you know that it wasn’t going to be confusing I would just get out and my hotel was maybe a 8 minute walk from the station and I meticulously studied using Google Maps and Google Street View how I was going to get to to the hotel and I remember my biggest culture shock sort of culture shock was a how freaking hot it was in the summer the moment that I left the the um the train station um B that it was actually raining at the same time or it was starting to drizzle and I wasn’t expecting expecting um rain or drizzle in Japan for some reason now I know much better than that um and also I think the how orderly everything was very well organized everything is very well signposted and everything was very very quiet those are my first Japan culture like shocks that I experienced what are yours by the way Sam no problem dude no problem I F to go to Saga from hon paper will abused um paper will be used it will just be a QR code OMG gji 1.5 years that’s awesome that is epic actually I need to find I need to make sure that um that this thing here whatever this is has not hiding behind I don’t even know how to do that okay let me move this over here better all right let’s see if Android users could use IC I don’t really get why our Google Wallet doesn’t work but Apple iPhones do it’s not as easy as you think the main issue is licensing and also the actual chip that’s in the phone that just isn’t physically there um the Felicia um like chip whatever that’s used in Japan just doesn’t exist in many Android um phones so that’s the main thing Holly question going to Japan for the third time next February nice well congratulations three times awesome and for 10 days traveling a solo I’ve been to Tokyo Kyoto Hiroshima kurashiki nice Nagoya where should I go next whoa that is a loaded question um I think February is a cold sort of um time of the year so I would probably not Venture north of Japan even though I love Northern Japan I love tohoku but maybe February is going to be cold and snowy unless that’s something that you’re looking for um I think that you might want to explore one of the other islands for example hushu heading south from from um hirosima to fukoka and exploring kushu it’s relatively okay to travel there is a shinkansen line and um mostly it’s local trains and you can use a um you could also use the a regional rail pass for the for the area and I think that’s that’s what I would suggest that you do if you if you want to explore further um there’s definitely going to be less um tourists but it’s going to be loads of fun and it’s a pretty cool place to go comini confessions will have no move that’s right p and kagoshima there you go basically what I’ve just said kushu um kagoshima is pretty cool fukoka is pretty cool and I would go as far as saying um that Nagasaki Nagasaki is really awesome is a really awesome City too have you done any other events for follen other than Shibuya last Q&A I recall you saying that you are going to be out there for Halloween is that right hope to see you yeah I was there last time I was in should we have for Halloween I have a video out on my Halloween experience um and this year I will be there for Halloween also um I’ve already got my my um my my hotel booked and my flights booked for that um will I be doing something else I’m not very sure to be honest I going to get through my first trip which is actually in about four weeks time just about four weeks time I’ll be going to Japan for 6 weeks and I have a toed banana here I actually only have four left one for each week before going to Japan so this is like B countdown yeah kazawa is pretty cool also Osaka and Nara yeah those are all really good suggestions back in the clay hey man how you doing your hometown in Japan yeah don’t get too excited I mean get excited about the the video that’s coming I’ve been working on it um this weekend but I have to give you a little bit of a warning it’s not your deep dive oraku video it’s more of a more of a you know first timer to akab sort of video first timer what you could what you should be looking out for John Mitchell hey how are you doing do I have any ideas for day trips from Tokyo many many many um depends how much you want to EXP spend depends how far you want to go and how long you want to travel for but I think that some easy day trips from Tokyo include hone include um um include enoshima Kamakura Niko you could go to Nagano on the shinkansen you could even go as far as Matsumoto if you really wanted to um and if you wanted to explose some other cities then you could even go to places like like moroka or Sendai um those cities are under 2 and a half hours away something like that from Tokyo what online payment method can you recommend like rpay Etc online payment method I don’t use any online payment methods to be honest so I cannot really answer that question um some of the the um payment methods that are used in in Japan like paypay just are not available for people who are not residents of Japan so that’s a downfall of being a tourist in Japan I guess hey question Maui roller Rob how you doing um we are living for Japan Friday nice any pre-trip advice or tips for us as we are first time to Japan yes of course there’s always lots of advice number one I think um that depending on when you arrive if if it’s a overnight um flight or if it’s a daytime flight I think the key to making the most of your first hours in Japan will be being as rested as you can um so you need to be a little bit tactial in that in that regard like I know that I’ll be um flying overnight arriving I’ll be flying during the day that’s it I’ll be flying during the day sort of overnight and I’ll be arriving in the afternoon so I intend on not sleeping too much sleeping just about enough um then when it comes to pre-trip advice obviously making sure you packed the essentials but not worrying too much because Japan is just epic and awesome to purchase anything that you need out there and um watch a lot of ninja monkey is what I would say that’s probably the best advice I would give you for the first time and um if you haven’t done the the visit Japan web that’s something that I recommend that you do um look at how you’re going to get to your first hotel so that you are well prepar prepared have pocket Wi-Fi which I will once again where do I even have the pocket Wi-Fi thing here but yeah pocket Wi-Fi T there is a um it’s probably the number one thing I would suggest that you do if you’re traveling to Japan just because that will pretty much get you out of a pickle you’ll be able to do everything that you need translate navigate Etc and as for being your first time in Japan just go with a flow enjoy and look around you see what other people are doing and um follow the locals is what I’d say hopefully those are some things that you probably already knew but will put you at ease I think so thank you very much Maui roller Rob Mari roller it will have to stay like that okay let’s see any questions I’m going for questions now mainly um the mosquitoes and the cockes I don’t really see cockes when I’m in Japan to be honest I’m not going to lie I don’t see too many so that doesn’t bother me I almost over plan my routs in Google Street View ahead of time it leads to some D of view V experiences sometimes I can imagine yes hey Meo you’re not you’re not feeling well I hope you feel better soon thanks for saying hello dude question the biggest barrier for me is a cost of airfare what strategies I don’t know why the thing is behind but anyway what strategies do folks use to find better cost or defay cost um I think the strategies are hard to come by nowadays to be honest there are a few things that you can do such as perhaps using a VPN um I’ve seen vpns only knock off like $5 off off my my um my trip but every penny counts I guess and when it comes to strategies I think that my number one strategy is to already go in and I’ve said this so many times is go in with a price point that I’m to pay and anything that’s under that is going to be a win for me number one and number two to set up um tracking airline tracking across different um you know websites with alerts so that if the prices do go down then I get an alert those are the main strategies that I would I would um use hey Erica thank you so much for your donation for your Super Chat so whoa Erica let me just add you to the to the list which trying to figure out how to do because obviously I’m not in my normal setup and I thought I’d set this up properly but thank you so much let’s see I’m going to go for questions any questions any vaccinations that should consider my up upcoming trip to in July um not really I know that some people do the the Japanese whatever tuberculose I don’t know what it is a Japanese jab so if you’re going to be doing like rice plants and stuff like that um but generally I I think that whatever you have is probably fine have you watched any animes if so which ones do you like I love um kimwa your name but I’ve been watching Spirit of the way pretty much every few days for the last week or two weeks because and I’ve been watching all the the um all the background information on Spirit of way because not this weekend but the following I’m flying to London and I’m watching Spirit of away live at the London Coliseum um I think it is so I’ll be watching in the West End live the live action live screen well not screen live what is it play performance adaptation of spirit of the way so I I’m a little bit obsessed with that at the moment I’m going to Japan in October nice and I will be H arriving in hanada late like 10:30 p.m. would I be late riding the train I will be arriving from Vancouver I think 10:30 p.m. you should be fine um last train is usually about 12 mid mid midnight a little bit past midnight number one and number two there are liing buses that get you into Central Tokyo that run later than that so you should be fine my sister is going to Japan next week is the QR code still required to get through immigration passport control um all right Holly first of all the QR code is not a requirement it’s just something that’s going to make things easier faster and just you know just one less thing to worry about when you’re there so if you don’t have the QR code and if you don’t do the QR code you will still need to um fill in the paper version of it in the airplane or at the airport so it’s just one additional thing one additional step to do whilst you’re traveling so I suggest and I advice that you just go for the visitor pan web do it from home before you go before you travel and get that QR code so you just don’t have to worry about it when you’re in in the airport hey thank you SAA for the membership awesome memberships are a really good way of of giving back because they’re pretty much the same as super chats but you’re giving a membership to someone so hopefully I can I can um improve on the setup because at the moment let’s see just going through any questions that um that are out there I’m sorry if I miss anything but I am asking you to please um write question whatever what is your opinion on Pikachu shoes my opinion is that I have Pikachu shoes I purchase them I own them and I think that answers the question obviously air answer um it depends on the airline also basically it doesn’t depend on the airline on on the on the airline and that you’re willing to travel I know that from London you can do um Air China I think it is with one stop over but there’s so many things to consider such as like do you want to step over a stop over a step over a stop over um how much time you’re in Japan do you have that time to actually waste with a stepo step over stop over I can’t speak hey Japan Japan itan thank you so much for the membership Japan Japan Ichiban awesome maybe I can make this a little bit smaller can I make it a little bit smaller so that we can actually see the names of everyone yay there we go have you hired a car on any of your trips if so far ahead did you book and aside from Etc do you have any tips I haven’t I always travel with my um international driver’s permit and I’ve actually renewed it because the thing that you need to know about the international driver’s permit is that um it expires every year mostly for most countries anyway so um I had one from last year that I didn’t use and I’ve just got a new one for this trip and I do aim to PL I aim to drive in two different um you know two different parts of my itinery in the summer one including Okinawa and I will be booking them probably this weekend or the following to the cliff God Cliff God cliff dog got the co vaccination before I left I just really don’t want to be sick during a holiday I mean yeah I think that some people get flu covid just depends on what kind of a person you to me judio gibli does not have as good stories and characters as anything from T tzuka or Samu but does tzuka or Samu do animation though hey hey Jesse thanks for showing off those awesome emojis by the way too banana not sponsored but it’s become a little bit of a running joke now I think of the channel um maybe I’m starting to get sick of them I don’t know but Tokyo banana great little souvenir to uh to have and I really really want you guys if you’ve never had a too banana and you’re traveling to Japan I would love you to send me a little video of you trying it and telling me what you think but too banana is basically a sponge cake this has been in the freezer so it’s nice and cold actually it’s a sponge cake in the shape of a banana and inside there is banana custard um or banana cream or whatever it is and it’s cold because it’s semi Frozen but it’s yummy m only one night Japan japanes Japan has the best beard in the land I’m not going to say no to that I’m not going to say no to that at all thank you so much only one night I got um any questions see see let see going for questions goings for questions human powered when do you plan to come back to kushu and update your travel guide there I will be going to kushu this year in the next few weeks I will be in kushu um I am going to be completing my 47 prefixes of Japan and there’s a few pre there’s a few prefixes in um in kushu that I haven’t actually been to so I will be in kushu um for about five or six days I think at some point maybe even a week um at some point in the next few weeks yes facebook facebook facebook does it not appear Holly SE question is it easier to fly to fuka or take the shinon from Narita Airport I think it will be easier to fly than the shin can especially since you’re already at an airport I would say Japan Japan Jaan says the same thing I can see 2 hours on the plane versus 6 and 1/2 hours on the train I mean if you want to stop along the way and make something out of it then you know use the train B mama and there isn’t can narit right no you’d have to get in you’d have to change onto the shinkansen lane question Nathan I need help with the homework in Westside what is a crotchet I don’t know how was your Samora trip I’ve been following your photos they’ve been looked pretty epic and awesome I learned in Samoa that they don’t really care about your license they issue a temporary s Samo one really awesome DC Cohen just finished our twoe Japan trip it was awesome all of your help Nathan was invaluable thank you so much I would like to ask your question DC Cohen first of all when are you returning to Japan come on you know that you’re going to be returning to Japan I have you got plans but I think that my main question is what which of my tips or videos do you think have been the most useful and how have you used my advice o I think Erica might have wanted to know the best way to get from Narita to Tokyo station I think that um that um Japan japanin ban already already answered in the in the in the um chat so I didn’t answer this way let’s see Ninja monkey guy if you could only leave once to get away from Tokyo over a two week trip where would you choose to go anywhere like anywhere anywhere anywhere um up north or to the very very south um I I’d probably go to yakushima which is really far away but if it’s a day trip if it’s a day trip um i’ go to an onen somewhere and on in town John Mitchell have a good one thanks for being here canaza canaza could be a good one I have a CO also here the ready Cai thanks everyone I’m going to Japan next year in late January early February our only major plan is skiing in hakuba do you have any advice or winter in Japan other than dress for very cold um I made out I made a a winter video and I think that um if you’re going to be doing the snow the skiing and all that that’s probably going to be the top top of the list but maybe in February you might actually be able to catch the saporo no Festival um it runs usually in the middle of February so if you’re there then I would suggest that you try to make it to um to suppor for that Festival that’s probably my number one um a recommendation there might also be some winter illuminations that um you might be able to catch so try to check those out too yes luggage forwarding is a lifesaver right number one tip 100% I have to return to Japan always but not as a tourist but I think the videos are nice thank you so much that’s the nicest thing you said I want to go to S again because I made a lot of mistakes that I’d like to do over yeah well I wouldn’t say I made major mistakes in Japan but I do think I do consider each trip that I that I do in Japan to be an improvement on the previous trip um because I know more right so and I’ve stopped counting I don’t know how many times I’ve been to Japan anymore but jji Coke Zero time who man the packing guide by Nathan is so helpful thank you did you watch my second packing guide I did an update to that one with some more specific things that are different and useful you definitely learned a lot about the type of traveler you are yeah you do learn a lot about the type of traveler that you are but I also think that as a traveler you’re always adjusting always Chang in I’m not the same traveler that I was back in 2014 the very first time that I went to Japan when I was scared of Japan we started in Tokyo then to Nagano kazawa Kyoto and back had it not been for the luggage folding advice we would have been very miserable yes the only thing with luggage folding is that you do need to be rather um well organized right make sure that you send it before a certain time or certain day so it arrives at the right time for you how has being a successful YouTuber impacted your daily life in your hometown um I’m not very sure I’m a successful YouTuber um I mean I count my my little success as a success everything is relative but I’m not like a big YouTuber or anything like that and there’s no real impact to my daily life in here where I live in jolta because nobody really knows I’ve been stupped like two or three times in the last year if if that um a few weeks ago somebody in Morrison’s which is like a supermarket here a grocery store for you for you Americans um the guy that was stocking the shelves turned around and said I watch your videos which was kind of cool um but I don’t think there’s any anything that’s really impacted anything other than I am quite a hyperfocused indivi individual and I do always have my my like um routine I go I write my scripts and I gather my ideas and I edit parts of my videos in the same coffee shop more or less on the same table usually on the same seat and um they know me so yeah nothing major nothing major no problem will’ll be in Kyoto Osaka overnight via cruise ship in September what will be a good on Center visit which is accessible via Local transportation um kinosi onen it’s about 2 and a half hours away from Kyoto Osaka um that’s probably the best onen in that area I would say that’s accessible to you I am back in the UK for one week and I already missed Japan yes hey Michaela how you doing hope you’re all well and happy birthday JJ Jaan ja is it your birthday are you freaking kidding me that I didn’t know it was your birthday I feel really freaking bad now happy birthday to you wait really is it your birthday seriously what happy birthday to you happy birthday Japan Japan ity happy birthday to you I can’t believe I didn’t know that damn it had I known I would have done something special thanks for popping on here Michaela and setting setting things straight straight and fixing things tip number two the coin purse I used that the whole tip trip got that tip from one of your packing videos speaking of if you’re flying out of Veda on your last day and still have coins yes it’s all aoy to get you back to Japan hey Tommy Tran how you doing thanks for being here there is a donation box right past Security on the left of the information desk where you can donate your coins for earthquake relief or you can simply keep your coins for your next trip because you know you’re going to be returning awesome to catch you live hey biggest conundrum in having right having right now is Big backpack I have a 65 L Peak design or buy a Remo cabin s first world problems right I mean that’s I’m guessing that is for for your like um your gear your digital gear or not for your TR not for your luggage right I guess one thing I learned about packing for Japan on the last trip uni t-shirts are so much cheaper in Japan than in the UK indeed they even got size for fat guys am I going to be um setting up a Meetup in October I’m not very sure Cory um I probably will be setting out a Meetup during my summer trip because I’m there for 6 weeks usually when I’m in Japan for a very short time and in October it’s literally going to be six days I don’t tend to do a meet up um other than you know like hells and goodbyes that people meet see me in the street or whatever um or meeting my friends that I know you thought that um Sam would be similar to to raru and vatu I don’t even know where that is I have no idea clinging onto your 30s we did a day trip to Hiroshima per your um answer to one of the questions and it was very moving experience awesome thanks yeah um Hiroshima I know people do it as a day trip I think that it’s worth staying the night maybe once that you’ve done it as a as a day trip you might sort of like decide to return the Hiroshima prefecture is a pretty cool prefecture there’s quite a few interesting things not only do you have Mia gima not only do you have Mima and Hiroshima City with the delicious okonomiyaki but there’s Rabbit Island there’s onomichi there’s so many little areas around that I suggest that you explore number three Sakura mobile yes having an internet connection even me now well now more than never I think now that I’m in social media I need my internet connection I have a growing pile of onean coins since I don’t bother taking those back to Japan with me I tend to leave them behind my hotels yes please join the ninja M Discord I have to learn more about your Crews yeah um we have a ninja monkey Discord Discord is sort of like an app it’s a messaging app it’s like a community app and we have um loads of people on there that help answer questions so when I’m not able to answer a question usually by the time I get to the question it’s already been answered perfectly beautifully by the ninja monkey community so I’m really grateful for that also I think it’s a really good um good resource to have whilst you’re traveling in Japan you never know what’s going to happen there’s been times where people have felt a little bit lonely and and you know the community have been there for them and they’ve even um like met up with them there’s been times where people have met met people up at the airport to help them get to to their hotels gone out drinking meetups um and you just never know what situation you might be in and um having like an online community like ninja monkey I think is great we’ll definitely be going back ASAP I can imagine ah we yeah comini normally have a donation box that’s true prizes for your students nice maybe I should be doing that Ango UK you paid at the 7eleven machine with coins I paid a lot of Min points for a sandwich what that’s that’s hilarious that’s hilarious oh we had okonak Hiroshima it was awesome I know that Japan Japan Japan Japan ichan had okonomiyaki also in in Hiroshima so he went to the okaki park that I recommended I hope you agree that that place is pretty awesome very awesome I want to go back to Hiroshima just for that place I swear we met some children and the parents in kazawa the children were learning English so we had a good chat with them that was awesome nice what are your top experiences for those of you travel Travelers of Japan um what are your top experiences Nam me your top two or top three experiences or if you don’t have an experience then name me your top two or three things that you’re most looking forward to on your next or future Japan trip I’m having too banana here nice yummy Oak is great the best takoyaki I have ever had if you that or anyone in chat um where I think probably in in um in um Osaka takoyaki in Osaka basically do buy area there’s a few um takoyaki places definitely um check those out yeah I’m a big fan of red bean paste and I know that load of people are not but Japan sort of like you sort of give in to Japan eventually especially after traveling so many years so many times um in my last video I mentioned how now I’m I a train otaku and I mean it I think that Japan finally broke me and I could no longer not take notice of the amazing trains that Japan has and even the Thomas Eng train that I mentioned in the video I took a photo of my meal the food cost $20 total the photo has made $30 thanks zerber for the free lunch I am definitely in the wrong business here I should be on Facebook taking one photo making $30 that’s pretty darn good dude I mean I put 100 hours into my video last week and I’ve only made like $25 so exploring indeed exploring getting getting to those side streets and you know checking out some of those restaurants and some of those isayas or whatever that that are local I think that’s a key red bean past is awesome Osaka definitely has incredible takuaki and taaki which is slightly different um I like the Akihabara tayak place that has that does Magikarp tayak looks like we’re going to have to try to make it to Osaka question Eddie how you doing my man hi Nathan we’re heading back to Japan late October and staying in weno area for the first time yes are the eating places in amoko open late into the evening um things are really weird because that area Amo like um EES if that’s a way to to um to explain to to describe them that before the pandemic they were open quite late to 2: in the morning or whatever since the pandemic I found that a lot of places including weno closed earlier most of them will start closing around 11:30 maybe midnight um but there will always be a few places that remain open um later into you know like 1 or two in the morning or whatever just not all of them so there will be options available for you but will you be out at 2: in the morning really KAG Taco that sounds pretty good actually MIM M Manu MIM mju is interesting the train Journeys we’ve planned to the middle of nowhere in Tokyo and all of those little like the trams and the little ropeways pretty much the loads of fun one of my top experiences was the big Gathering of live street performances in front of yabashi camera in akaba on my 20 2006 trip trip a couple years later they cracked down hard on street performers was really that’s sad actually I didn’t mention this before but I think that some of my main biggest um like notable experiences were last year doing those summer matsis I think the matsis of toku are just so special and I will return before the next two or three years I’m sure I’m sure because they were just very very special Tommy Nathan what’s your favorite Japanese food yours is um Sashimi I have the palette of a kid and I like everything that’s deep fried so things like um I don’t know Hamburg things like kagon I love the TR Museum in aoya I really appreciated the shinkansen after learning about maintenance and daily r the train yeah it’s crazy the the maintenance and all that really impressive I’ve had red bean paste that was way too sweet in stores here which put me off um I we just don’t get red bean anything here nothing like so oo Ramen guza Yakitori I I accept all of those too Curry is good formerly the Sega taaki in goo Magik taaki is pretty good they have a customer loyalty card and it’s located mostly everywhere nice nice nice you’re here back in the clay you’ve been quiet another top Japanese experience is when you go back to a place on a later trip and the staff remembers you that is pretty nice it is pretty nice you’re G to have a spam on onu really Sakura tram yeah the casted Mima mju is maple leaf shaped usually only the red bean is available off the island like at the Tokyo Station yeah it’s a little bit tart I find that one if I’m thinking of the same one Yakitori is awesome for those of you who who are traveling to Japan and watching this um and you have you haven’t checked out my five restaurants restaurant chains that are easy and tourist friendly um and they English speaking or have English options check that video out cuz that video is has some of my go-to places booty and snow crap in Winter are my favorite in summer sardines in cha I’m not a big fan of sardines but yeah we happen to be in kazawa during the annual Rice Festival and which was a great coincidence hayaku mangu Festival nice I love it when you go to a place and there’s a festival going on and you hadn’t planned it right it’s like a bonus the squid in hakodate is extremely good but the way it is prepared is so cruel some some of these things are very cruel I agree hey traveling Gabriel how you doing you’re a little bit late but is fine better late than never I’d say I mean I will be closing and ending this stream stream a little bit in the next few minutes but um yeah hello thanks for the restaurant video Japan Japan Jaan I appreciate it maybe you’re thinking of sober noodles suon I like cold sober noodles um when when I’m in Japan in the summer it’s one of my go-to things plug the second Channel second Channel guys happy Guin check it out um I will be live streaming mostly on that channel when I’m in Japan I’ll probably stream from Ninja monkey maybe once or twice a week Max um probably just keep it to the Sunday Monday um just whilst I’m in Japan but I will likely be streaming on happy guen every day or every other day something like that I had this um AK video that I’m putting out I had it on the back burner because I really wanted to visit a maid Cafe and a YouTube friend has access and could have got me into maid Cafe but I just didn’t make it and I didn’t go to the maid Cafe so um so I decided to just put it out without the without a segment from the from the made Cafe but I do mention the M cafes obviously just um unfortunately there won’t be much if any footage of a made Cafe yay Tommy I’m looking forward to them too I love walking around and and showing you you guys Japan red bean taste like golden syrup really I don’t think so not for me anyway DC says thanks Nathan for all your tips videos and the hard work that goes into making them which have been a great help for us on a vacation I’m glad that they helped that’s all I can say thank you have I done any Beach videos I haven’t done any Beach videos but I will be going to Okinawa so there will definitely be some beach stuff going on there instead of a ma Cafe you should go to ginar Hostess clubs well then it wouldn’t be an AK um video right so many new made caes are actually bars with some complicated pricing systems check out the charges before visit or you can get expensive yeah yeah yeah I mean absolutely I’ve been to make aase end of May Akiba it was fun if you’re within right people like my crazy ex Idol to a guide um I’ve been to M cafes maybe three times once on my own once with a friend and once with a friend and her kids and each time have been has been a lot of fun so so if there are any more questions please let me know because I will be ending the stream shortly and um obviously any questions now is your chance and if not you can always leave them in the comment section and I will get to them I’m sure or just come to the Discord and I can answer or somebody can answer the question for me hopefully don’t go to the make C that advertise with girls on the streets why not how long until my trip um Japan Japanese and 4 weeks I have approximately three too bananas left before my trip that that sort of the countdown mechanism that I’m using right now ah anyway I think that let’s see little big sis hey um was planning to do a trip to Japan next year Autumn time and was hoping to catch a baseball game whil I was there when does the season end I don’t know because I’m not a baseball um I’ve been to a baseball game only because a subscriber invited me and got me tickets to go um that’s all I know about baseball my my one experience of baseball baseball isn’t played here in Europe really it’s not a big thing so I really don’t know is the answer I do apologize um I might where my baseball jersey or whatever it’s called but I have no clue hey I’ve seen cool vending machines like Domino’s McDonald’s or Kate vending machines on YouTube but can’t find them how do you locate them aloho thanks um Jared you know this is exactly what happens with YouTube and social media 99.9% of vending machines are drinks normal vending machines sending drinks and there’s going to be like a 0.05% of vending machines that are unique and have whatever cakes or whatever um and they’re going to be freaking hard to find so I wouldn’t know how to locate them other than doing a Google search or searching social media for them over the course of making videos on YouTube what do you think you’ve improved upon the most um I think definitely voice projection um introductions um pacing removing Jon and removing like um like like noise as in information that’s not necessary in videos I think has been a big thing in the last the last year definitely um editing audio quality I think everything’s just improved personally so [Music] has Japan lost its glamour since we opening no at all no no no right let’s see there you go jji has a link there for interesting vending machines the famous retro one out of Tokyo at the used tire yard like I mentioned there’s um vending machines quite a few vending machines um but they’re very specific and people think that Japan is all about weird vending machines and it’s a lie it’s a social media fabrication it’s a complete lie um vending machines are just usually water maybe snacks sorry drinks um maybe alcohol that sort of thing then you might have the odd um snack vending machine here and there ice cream vending machines coffee that kind of thing and everything else is rather rare very very rare you’ll find mostly food vending machines like at um at car stops mot way stops that sort of thing there you go Jared thanks for the info there thanks okay I think it’s time for me to say good night um I am still a little bit tired from my trip but you can look forward to the stream on Wednesday on my second channel the happy gijin and obviously on Sunday back again over here um it’s been awesome thanks for watching thanks for supporting and yeah check out my latest video check out my um latest update and please check out my travel um train video which I put so much work into anyway thanks for watching take care good night stay positive and be happy guing bye
