greetings friends and welcome back to Tokyo haa airport I say welcome back cuz uh just about a year ago we were here finishing up our last round the world trip went all the way from Ireland to Japan and today we’re starting our next round the world trip we’re going to go all the way North in Japan to all the way south and then after that we’re going to go as far south in Asia as they let us go today we’re actually going on a little side quest We’re Going To Hai jojima it’s uh one of the biggest abandoned hotels in the world I wanted you I wanted to give you guys a good uh a good start to the journey so here we go smallest airport in all Japan right here wow okay hajima okay oh wow another mountains in the distance excellent excellent First Impressions W it seems like we’re in a beach Paradise we’re not here for the beach today we’re here for crumbling infrastructure and uh scary haunted buildings now this is what I’m talking about beautiful Clear Day amazing scenery aing loud ass jet engine in my face and some uh some empty streets it’s a far cry from uh the mainland actually funny enough we’re actually on this is this is Tokyo um I don’t know why don’t ask me why please don’t ask me why but technically this is Tokyo and uh have you ever seen Tokyo without another person in your line of vision feels very good so while we’re walking to the hotel I just kind of want to debrief you guys I want to educate you I want to teach you something on this channel for the first time in its whole existence I think it’s called the Hai jojima Royal Hotel or the orian hotel was built in the’ 60s and abandoned in 2006 so it’s been abandoned for about 20 years so I think the backstory is um after the war the Japanese government wanted to incentivize domestic tourism for people to stay in the country to spend their money to build up the nation’s economy so they kind of pitched Hashima the island were on as like the Hawaii of Japan now you probably know that’s inwa but before that um they were trying to pitch Hashi jojima yeah so I would imagine like between the’ 60s and the early 2000s people would get off the plane they’d ride on this road they’d see the beautiful palm trees they’d see the the mountains in the distance and uh be excited to go to the resort and it is a full-blown Resort it’s a huge massive Hotel still fully standing there stuff’s totally intact there’s really not a lot going on here guys it’s uh really just this kind of main empty road so I get the feeling we’re going to be pretty much all alone today okay it was only like you only oh but eat T oh really quiet only me today wow addressy uh I think it’s a like short okay yeah let okay very nice no just me wow okay okay very nice ma oh accessible tourism ah for like wheelchair h [Music] but oh okay wow [Music] okay yeah looks like they have a ton going on on the island they have gorgeous viewpoints beaches waterfalls on oh oh oh okay oh but Beach is right there too maybe you are lucky luck all right very nice very nice people oh there’s the beach nice Lu’s in our favor today oh you can see it oh wow [Music] oh yeah there’s the sign oh yeah no trespassing it’s so overgrown just getting a personal tour of the island it’s wonderful wow this is the beach oh yeah wow the black sand beaches I’m not sure where we’re going oh nice okay look at this here we go guys byee bye byebye byebye wow what a sweet lady can’t make this [ __ ] up man in the middle of a typhoon this is the weather henceforth no one is here it’s unbelievable luck let’s go check out the the beach just to appease my uh my host make her think I don’t just want to trespass well here’s the uh the volcanic black sandy beaches honestly it’s kind of sick truly see this is what happens when you put yourself out there you uh discover random black sand beaches and very nice uh Airbnb hosts or whatever booking all right let’s go do some trespassing shall we whoa there she is she’s a beast boys that’s a boohemoth of an abandoned Hotel my God it just Towers over everything in this little village well Luck’s on our side there’s not many people here uh the weather’s amazing now it’s just a matter of finding our way in there I’m not really sure how to approach it I’m going to try to go in the back cuz when um the owner of the hotel drove us to the front it looked completely shut off wow there she is a be a real Beauty looks like this road might be our our way in let’s check to see is the coast clear no way is it that easy no [ __ ] way the rush of trespassing the road looks nicely maintained I’m not sure if this is what we’re looking for all right I think we’re good boys we have a gate it’s a good sign broken gate it is a bit bizarre how the road is not overgrown oh my goodness wow there she is she’s a but it’s creepy as hell wow there she is just a busted out car for some reason not sure what that has to do with the hotel jeez man this place is freaking scary oh my gosh it’s Behemoth dare we go inside dare we go inside I say yes wow it’s been a long time since I’ve snuck in anywhere wow you can see the uh the old paint on the front of the building might have said Royal Lodge might have said uh orian Hotel oh jeez dude oh my God bro ominous as [ __ ] oh boy that’s scary oh my God what theck I can see where they tried to barricade it before obviously didn’t work those are some heavy doors all right I’m going to have to take off my backpack damn look at the uh it’s like French inspired uh architecture I have no idea what the building behind us is we’re going to go have to check that out in a minute but first we got to do the the grand toall don’t get Hepatitis don’t get Hepatitis don’t get Hepatitis all right we’re in oh my God it’s soing creepy what is that what the is someone doing like a Satanic ritual or something oh my God dude what what happened to the chandelier bro somebody Fu destroyed bastards this place is super [ __ ] scary super [ __ ] scary why am I Whispering oh my God bro that’s the stuff of nightmare what oh my God what holy [ __ ] what did someone did somebody use the fire hose to climb up here and then break it I’m scared to step on the [ __ ] bro bro I am tripping right now I thought I heard somebody walking in the other room in there but I think it’s just water dripping or something I don’t know I’m terrified here well check it out the Royal Hotel we got dinner for two set up there at the Royal hoel it’s fully just broken the ceiling just crashed oh my God we have outdoor showers you can tell this used to be like a luxury place you got nice Greek style fountains this must have been a swimming pool at some point whoa this place is [ __ ] scary dude oh my gosh that honestly that pool really freaks me out it’s really like some Adams Family [ __ ] horror movie type [ __ ] this ising scary Jesus Christ fully molded out destroyed there’s a mini fridge over there wow looks like this may have been like a traditional room you see they got the the futons in here to sleep on they’re still doing totally fine can’t fight the Earths and try to turn on light switches when I see them [ __ ] oh my God no way no [ __ ] way dude perfectly fine hotel room it’s totally fine there’s no really signs of stuff falling apart or it’s perfect the Shi sliding doors have been wrapped up but those are those are like really delicate anyway so I’m not surprised an old phone from 2006 mushy mosh guys I’m very scared I don’t know if you can tell but it’s a little hot in here let’s turn it down wow completely rusted out AC unit absolutely horrifying this place horrifying and it’s even weirder that it’s set in Paradise the dichotomy is H is creepy I hope we’re alone in here I don’t know I heard some kind of noise earlier perfectly maintained fridge 20 years old perfectly maintained safe huh wonder what’s in there old TV you know what it is the rooms on the other side must have been hit by all the wind and the rain and the salt water and that’s probably why they’re super destroyed but these are like totally fine besides like a little bit of like maybe leaking or something still very scary I don’t know why I’m expecting like something to be here or I don’t know let’s keep checking around and see what’s going on toilet looks okay still better than an average American bathroom [ __ ] hell all right I’m getting a little more comfortable here it’s usually when the protect an Agonist dies but I am feeling better less horrified oh my God what the fu what the [ __ ] dude dude it smells so dank in here in the worst way possible holy [ __ ] oh my [ __ ] God I am not stepping foot on this [ __ ] floor bro that’s the soggiest floor I’ve ever seen dude everything is dude nature is just taking over I don’t know if you guys can see the uh pillows in there they’re super moldy wow the SOI sliding doors don’t didn’t stand a chance over there guys they’re on the left oh my gosh dude I feel like I’m in the apocalypse right now in The Last of Us or some [ __ ] oh my God this is terrifying dude visually that’s just like horrifying wow that was really [ __ ] scary oh my God bro every time the wind blows a door swings open and it scares the out ofy all these rooms on this side are Beyond [ __ ] up dude this is 20 years right now this is like looks like a hundred years sh dude the floor is so soggy damn I really want to go in there but also value living yeah anything that’s like like wallpaper or any kind of like paper material or wood is just totally totally destroyed dude D we open room 2113 what no way dude it’s a fully bro someone left the ash out here bro I legitimately thought someone was still staying here because the the the asrate thank God it’s sunny outside or I’d be losing my [ __ ] tissues from 20 years ago that is scary wow the rooms over here have like totally fared so much better than the rooms on the other side even the sheets the pillows the blankets totally fine well not fine I wouldn’t sleep on them got a little rat [ __ ] on them but wow Jesus honestly these rooms on this side are so nice like I actually expected somebody to still be here I actually thought I was like walking in on somebody’s house oh this sh sliding door is still intact maybe it gets less wind over here or something but there’s a first signs of graffiti what is this a puzzle wow I cannot put into words how scary this place is at this point I was so certain that someone was about to walk into the same room as me that I turned on the camera and waited for the killer to appear instead what I ended up doing was just standing there like a dumbass in this hot room recording for 5 minutes and I know this might sound pathetic but you try going in to an abandoned hotel and you see if you’re seeing things that aren’t there all right [ __ ] being a YouTuber is hard all right it’s very scary and it’s hard bro I’ve been standing still for like the last 5 minutes cuz I could have sworn I heard somebody in here but it might just be the wi this shit’s scary as there’s a little key there on the ground that’d be a good souvenir but I’m not going to take it do you see what I see how horrifying this [ __ ] hotel is and opening up these uh hotel room doors it’s like opening up a treasure chest of [ __ ] this place is scary as hell dude especially these rooms bro [ __ ] that [ __ ] dude man you can imagine back in the day ripping pool with your boys at the resort you got the uh the ocean view out here the chandelier you probably think you’re fing big shots and now it’s just a A Wasteland I mean it’s this is the stuff of nightmares truly extremely scary and very stupid for me to be coming here alone all right let’s uh let’s stick to the ground floor I don’t want to [ __ ] fall through here as much as I’d love to sue the owner of this place wow bro I am shaking right now this place is horrifying this place is [ __ ] horrifying wow what are these oh my God is that hotel soap Hotel Royale shower caps see if one’s in there still fully intact after 20 years Hotel Royale let’s look at a broken one I don’t want to rip One open that’s not already ripped up yeah they still got them got to check periodically for ghosts astonishing horrifying simply horrifying all the chandeliers suffered a similar fate besides these tiny little guys over here I wonder what was up there maybe a chandelier as well yeah looks like this place has been looted a little bit which I’m really surprised for Japan oh the clock dead on the wall it’s always very ominous little bookshelf nothing in English they should have read a book on how to run a hotel this looks like it must to be uh the grand entrance to the hotel you have the uh the pool from hell out here let’s check it out [ __ ] it yeah this must have been the grand entrance the reason why why is there a fire hose here that’s Eerie honestly the fact someone put chairs out here is just hilarious that’s dare I oh God that’s not bad come on do it for the bit Conor do it for the bit m yes Quincy more champagne Yes master Quincy this is prco not champagne This Is The Life got the whole resort to myself honestly I feel so much better after just stepping outside for a second God damn is that place scary my goodness it’s like Haunted Mansion Haunted Mansion legitimately dangerous as well theing ceilings are falling in all on this side horrifying horrifying place looks like these are the uh the outdoor shower spets where you’d go down there and uh probably take a dip they probably had like a hot bath down there cold plunge stuff like that just normal Japanese spa stuff um got I’m looking around so add here it’s just [ __ ] terrifying everywhere you look probably getting West a virus in this swamp here but uh yeah it looks like it’s clearly just overgrown as the same thing that’s happened here has happened in all the rooms facing the sea let’s see if we can turn on the water see if that [ __ ] works ah damn City cut off the water let a man live let a man squat goodbye creepy pool from hell I’m not sure what that is can’t really see any there of all the days to wear shorts I decided today was a good day probably Contracting all types of brand new hepatitis and a West Nile Virus I keep fully expecting to see somebody in here like truly it feels like there’s somebody here I don’t know it’s just a feeling I get and it’s so echoey in here I just want to whisper well old telephone but you can see where the water has just completely destroyed it leaks in the ceiling and just hello sir looks like there a little phone book there oh my God is this the hotel bar damn the ceiling fan from Hell jeez all kinds of Rusty oh God you guys hear the drip of the water fully black mold there just breathing that in that’s good completely falling apart that must be the uh the kitchen back there this must be some kind of Lounge looks like some kind of bar there there’s a cash register there oh new tennis ball that’s weird but it looks like they just tore down this this place for the day um not literally but you know put up the chairs and stuff like that and maybe they just never opened again who knows the mirror there is really scary I don’t know it’s just a feeling I have that somebody is here it’s a feeling and I don’t like it what is that is that a pool ball oh my God is that a pool queue the missing pool queue from upstairs here let’s go put it back usually I don’t like messing with the with things I like to leave them as I find them but I feel like the pool queue that’s not his home is it got to take him home son of a [ __ ] ball why didn’t you just go home that’s your home are you too good for your home wait are people renovating this why are there why is there construction equipment here in someone’s uniform old tennis shoe not my size whoa looks like you can Rend tennis shoes damn tennis rackets golf clubs I mean we’re dealing with like the elites here in this hotel guys this ain’t no poor [ __ ] oh it’s a broom might as well clean up a little leave it better than I found it there we go there we go we’ve done our part guys so when the Japanese government sees this just know I was cleaning up your hotel you’re welcome [ __ ] that noise in there godamn there you go little buddy There You Go Right Where You Belong look we’re making right guys we’re making right here’s a little map let’s see entrance pool another Pool I don’t think we can get to that looks like they have tennis courts tennis courts that would explain the uh the tennis rackets I see have t rooms okay guest rooms they have a banker room on the fifth floor I honestly think that’s um a bad idea to go all the way up there considering the ceiling’s falling in on the second floor I don’t want to fall through five stories let’s check out the front desk little reception area are there any keys left in here looks like this place might have been ransacked truly it’s not in as good of condition as I thought it would be wow they had a credit card reader brand new technology for 2006 oh my God they accept Visa Mastercard it’s unheard of in some places in Japan even to this day so the fact that they had them back then is just a testament to the nobility they had here they had tennis people they had golf people here little CB radio to talk to the uh staff members what the heck what is going on why is this here what Pepsi Twist do you guys see that oh my God bro do you guys remember that there’s Britney Spears drinking a Pepsi I did it again that’s not a Pepsi it’s a Pepsi Twist man Pepsi Twist in a bottle that’s crazy did not expect to see a room full of [ __ ] trash not sure why that’s here wow so this must be the staff room damn this is spooky back here floppy discs all kinds of old files wow wonder what kind of personal information just sitting out in here maybe receipts yeah looks like a the guest book from June 1st to June 30th wow when you sign into a Japanese Hotel you leave you know your name your phone number date of birth and stuff weird wow damn old computer wow it’s just sitting here I wonder how much merchandise is just sitting here what is this from the fax machine bro people are so disrespectful when they come to places like this this is crazy just throwing [ __ ] everywhere this looks like a fullon old school fax machine or copy machine or something you got cassette tapes it’s wild to think about people’s information just sitting out here on floppy discs on cassette tapes old CDs Adobe Acrobat Reader Adobe Acrobat that’s funny on a disc dude so much trash oh you know what this is a trash shoot okay that makes sense maybe they’re closing down they didn’t want to dispose of the trash properly old manga yeah people’s work desks just old computers it’s the room keys or utility closet keys or some kind of key wow honestly it’s just a bunch of junk I kind of figured it’d be a little uh in better condition at Christmas lights damn look at this sucker someone’s ripping the Shu on the computer all a little rusted out USB ports yeah the rust has really gotten the better of this place oh God the kitchen yikes if there’s going to be rats anywhere they’re going to be in here holy [ __ ] little pots for curry and the plates are in perfect condition it’s a nice plate put things back where you found them that’s the Boy Scout Way guys wow enormous rice cooker damn industrial rice cooker guys holy [ __ ] BR What the fu is that just a motor hanging from the ceiling that must be for the AC damn son dare we enter the hepatitis Den the door melon cream soda it looks like the prices have stayed pretty consistent throughout the years this is almost 20 years old and it’s actually a little more pricey than I would expect oh here it is this is the uh the baths women’s bath men’s bath whoa [ __ ] this is extremely dank in here whoa it honestly just feels like someone is going to pop out at any moment I just get the feeling I can’t quite horrifying sight I’m sure back in the day this is very relaxing you get to see the ocean I’m sure but uh 20 years of God it’s even growing to the ceiling man it’s so Lush here it’s [ __ ] taking over everything damn bro surprised we haven’t seen any snakes in here looks like a sauna over there but I’m not going to step foot in that [ __ ] it’s probably like snakes and spiders and it’s super wet and dank in there let’s get the [ __ ] out of this room check out the women’s quarters I know this is highly inappropriate wow this is much worse off the scale not that they need that women don’t need scales they’re all queens W good cockroach wings that’s great good very good wonder what kind of fun Critters await Us in here it’s actually slightly better it’s less dank in here all right I said we go check out one more little quadrant and then we call it a y this as much as my uh nervous system can handle the lounge oh we got to check out the lounge yes we do bar mikonos oh [ __ ] this looks super [ __ ] scary [ __ ] yikes dude this is horrific the velvet’s just ripped off the the chairs everything’s molded sure the floor is 2 seconds from falling and things are dripping currently yikes honestly this was a classy Place back in then they had velvet loungers wow nice little bar area I’m sure it overlooked the pool and watch the sunset out here but now it’s just a soggy a soggy [ __ ] mess [ __ ] yikes [Music] dude what the [ __ ] what the [ __ ] is that okay it’s 5:00 p.m. why is [Music] this what the [ __ ] [Applause] what the [ __ ] it’s like right there is this place [ __ ] haunted that’s right there okay it’s 5:00 p.m. that’s the only thing that’s keeping me saying right now I have not been caught by the police it’s just the end of day day tune maybe we’re right in the mineral of town and [ __ ] that was scary as [ __ ] all right guys I think that’s our sign I think we should quit W we’re ahead that was uh the most terrifying abandoned building I’ve ever been in this fing massive horrific just very scary hotel in Japan all right R I’m going to go take my anxiety medication and I’ll see you guys in the next one peace so I just got home from dinner and uh we’re in a fully empty Hotel this is all ours boys never had this happen in my entire life I got all the handicap stalls look we can go in the women’s restroom no one’s going to care you know I could [ __ ] I’m going to bomb this place I’m going to burn it down I’m a dangerous American with nuclear weapons there’s nothing you can do about it patrons it’s wild I’ve never been in a hotel alone before uhoh now I feel scared just me and my creepy little doll for the night wow whoa oh my God whoa no way Jesus and and uh wow oh my gosh [Laughter] Vol can It Rock it’s just Splendid where are we going whoa that’s crazy damn whoa really cool damn sh I think this is where she kills me this is where she throws me at the sea yeah bye all right Dro me off at the airport yeah thanks for the tour byee thanks bye W there goes a legend took me on a whirlwind tour the island I was going to sit at home today wait for my flight but she uh gave me a whole ass tour dropped me off to the airport what a legend man get out there in the boonies of Japan and see where it takes you [Music]
