Japan Bans Another Popular Tourist Attraction #japan

Another Japanese tourist site banned!? 😭

Following the recent ban last month in the Gion district area, Japan’s government have followed up with more measures to combat over-tourism, restricting the view of one of the most iconic locations in the Mount Fuji area.

This 2.5 metres by 20 metres wall will block the view of Mount Fuji in-front of the famous Lawson Kawaguchiko Station location! I’ve shared two alternative locations for a similar view but please be respectful when visiting 🙏

if you’re planning to visit the iconic Lawson with Mount Fuji in the back you might want to rethink and replan your itinery local officials have announced that a barrier of 2.5 M tall and 20 M long will be built to block the view of Mount Fuji as early as next week onwards this is mainly due to tourists overcrowding in the area breaking traffic rules and leaving trash behind disrupting local businesses around the area here are alternative spots where you can get a similar view but please be respectful if you come here for for more Japan travel tips and I also post daily

  1. "Tourist Attraction"… no, it's a convenience store, on a public street near other businesses, that we as tourists didn't respect enough while seeking that "perfect shot" that 10000 other people have posted on Instagram.
We tourists have nobody to blame for these restrictions but ourselves.

  2. Isn't it going a bit too far…? The Gion district ban is understandable, restricting specific climbing trails for Mt. Fuji is also okay, raising tourist taxes too…? Making up specific prices only for tourist ? And now blocking up a view in front of a supermarket…

  3. I couldn't get near Mt. Fuji on my Japan tour. I could still marvel at the wonder from different vantages, but I was distracted by the Geisha girls who were always getting in the way.

  4. And why is that? Because thanks to youtube and instagram and people advertising japan travel just like this channel. And yet you are surprised? You have part fault on it!!!😂

  5. I was there about a week ago during Sakura full bloom. There were a lot of tourists who didn’t follow traffic rules that I captured on video. It would be terrible for them if I uploaded and exposed them on social media 🤔

  6. Can everyone please be respectful of Japan. The country can't be shut down to foreigners before I can get there. 😢 These videos make me sad 😢😢

  7. I can guess which tourist group/category has caused a lot of tourist spots to close or be open for very limited hours. Not just in Japan, but elsewhere.

  8. Really appreciate, you educating tourists in your previous video regarding the rules in Japan 🙌 More please! Tourist need to do some kind of course before entering Japan I feel haha

  9. Only One billion of vasectomies could have been save the humanity and all these problems should not exist .
Where come from those who do not respect anything ?

  10. In Japan we love tourist, it helps the economy. YouTubers help a lot with this. Problem is with 'promoting' without 'educating'. So I appreciate your channel, teaching people to not litter, eat publicly, respect transport rules. Our business just share d your post in Instagram

  11. Sounds like Japan doesnt want tourist money anymore. A country that relies on tourist money heavily.

  12. Learn to respect Japan as well as any other place or culture that is kind enough to welcome you. Japan is a beautiful place and you should treat it respectfully as a guest. Don't ruin these experiences for others. Japanese people are so kind and welcoming. Respect their kindness and culture. Love them and they'll love you ❤.

  13. Maybe they should make viewing platforms?
Sounds like the issue is people blocking the street at that point – Why you would want a convenience store in the photo is beyond me.

Having said that I often find postcard pictures of monuments better than anything I could take due to access.
I don't need a picture to prove I was somewhere.

  14. Solution: Put out some trash bins, build a special ramp/viewing platform and charge to see it. Or set up a special pedestrian walk zone to redirect traffic. So easy.

  15. They block because of rude tourists. Tourists should understand more about Japanese culture and social norms before going.
