I think we’re live I think we’re ready
for the shortest stream ever on my
channel so unless you you followed the
the chat so I was initially planning to
start this walk at 2:00 and I have a
photosoot at
2:30 uh so I was planning to make a
pretty pretty short one but just a quick
little walk through Asaka before my
photo shoot but then I had some mishaps
happening and I actually got on the
wrong train on my way here so I got
severely delayed and yeah now my my
photo shoot starts in 10 minutes unless
my client is late which they tend to be
uh so we’ll see but uh anyway let’s
let’s just Dash

aaka uh and uh check out the crowds I
haven’t been here for a while haven’t
streamed from here for a long time but
yeah let’s check it out I heard it’s
gotten even busier than usually or
busier than usual looks like it yeah
looks pretty bad over

really some difference some change from
my
usual setup let’s

I have two clients and three shoots so
first I’m doing a shoot with this client
here then I’m doing a shoot with another
client in shinuk and then I’m doing a
night shoot with
this client that I’m meeting here in
Asaka as well so it’s going to be a very
busy day for me today so no more streams
but
maybe maybe I will be able to make it up
for you
tomorrow I hope I’ll be able to stream
tomorrow
instead and in the evening

me uh that they’re running a bit
late I don’t want to be judgmental but
it’s almost always the case with clients
from the US they tend to want to take a
taxi to wherever we’re meeting and tax
is always slower than taking the trains
here in
Tokyo and uh
yeah I would say with my us clients it’s
probably
a more than 50% rate of my clients who
who get
late Which is far higher compared to any
other nationality

taking a taxi will make you not arrive
on time trains are far more reliable

this is probably the most touristic spot
in Tokyo I would
say this is the
the I would say this is the only place
in Tokyo that feels like Kyoto in terms
of over
tourism yeah it feels like a obac
obstacle
course obstacle course with the
occasional traffic
and it’s of course golden week here too
so that’s probably adds to the number of
people a slight amount but yeah I don’t
know if any Japanese people actually
come to a saaka for Golden
week
maybe really selling K well I mean I
never go to Kyoto
myself uh these days and that’s for a
reason

Crossing is a lot of tourists yes but
also a lot of Japanese
people uh not so much

almost almost on the

it’s very nice here at night I really
like a Saka after dark then it’s not so
crowded and it’s much more beautiful as
well anyway I think I made it to S now I
have to hurry
back before my uh client arve
best alternative to
Kyoto uh good question I don’t really
feel that there is any alternative I
mean Kyoto is in many ways quite unique
some people say Kaza is kind of an
alternative to Kyoto and maybe there’s
some similarities in that they all both
have these kind of like um Gea
districts and the kind of tea house
district but other than
that oh wait maybe there’s not even gay
maybe it’s just this kind of tea house
district I think it’s called that’s why
people say it’s similar I’ve only been
to canata
once a very nice city for sure
guess I’m taking this side street back
rated place to visit a
too that’s a difficult question
I was thinking about it the last time I
did to photo shoot in
nakano that that’s in my opinion a
pretty underrated place I mean some
people some tourists go there but not
that many but it’s like it has some of
the most scenic drinking alleys in the
entire city or I would say the most
scenic drinking alleys great place for
photography
uh also tons and tons of
restaurants and uh yeah quite a lot of
things to see and do so it’s but it’s
still like not one of those place that
we see appearing a lot on social media
for
example
so that’s yeah I’m sure there are a
million others that I’m just
too confused to think of right now
play Papa Noel yeah Brad that’s uh
absolutely uh a valid point you’re
making there for sure this is going to
look nice when it’s all lit
up Naka Ginza but that place has gotten
quite
popular like 10 years ago or so
12 years ago when I was living near
there Back Then There Were hardly
any uh non-japanese tourists there but
these days it’s it’s quite touristic
actually Dragon thank you Digimon fans
okay does Digimon have some connection
to nakano sorry I don’t know anything
about
Digimon shim
awawa
overrated difficult to say it is still
it is a very nice
neighborhood
but I would say that it lost a little
bit of its
charm due to all the Redevelopment
projects
there I think I prefer kind of the old
shimokawa over current
shim
but it’s I mean it’s still a very nice
area yeah it started getting a lot of
hype over 10 years ago
shimokitazawa and uh it’s also like a
place where you see pretty high
percentage of non-japanese people
Sugo yeah Sugo is quite Charming I agree
I like that neighborhood and it’s
probably not a place where most tourists
go see
another new sign of life from my
clients
no I hope they arrive
soon cuz yeah I’m on a pretty tight
schedule

peek at the golden poo
before they
arrive yes synthetic so I agree with
that too
just walking between the stations is a
is great fun and I mean that’s that’s to
some extent pretty much what this
channel is all about exploring the
Lesser known parts of Tokyo even though
today I’m not really doing that but most
of my
walks are from places where most
tourists don’t go and it’s just because
I enjoy those areas so much myself
yeah that’s a nice neighborhood too for
sure for sure but I don’t know if I want
people if I want tourists to come there
and I don’t know if I think it’s
particularly interesting for tourists
either actually it’s a nice place to
live for sure but I don’t know if you’re
just visiting Tokyo for a short time
maybe be not necessary to go there
