The journey to the castle is a quick metro ride followed by a leisurely walk, during which we absorb the city’s lively spirit and beautiful architecture.

As we explore Osaka Castle, we delve into its history and admire the formidable stone walls and moats that exemplify ancient Japanese castle fortifications. hi everyone can you believe it’s already
day
128 time flies when you’re on an
adventure of a lifetime today we’re
docking in the Lively city of Osaka our
last port in
Japan it’s just one of the exciting
stops in our 9month ultimate World
Cruise so grab a drink fuel up your
curiosity and get ready to tag along
with us let’s go see what Osaka has to
offer good morning everyone we’re in
Osaka Japan and it’s 11 o’ in the
morning really nice weather our plan is
to walk up to the metro station get on
the Metro and head to the castle we’re g
to probably spend a few hours at the
castle and then make our way back and
explore kind of more near the the ship
we have all day until
8:00 and so we’re going to have dinner
hopefully at a
restaurant near the ship so we can take
our time and most of the restaurants
don’t open till like 6 so we want to
make sure we have plenty of time believe
it or not it’s only a 5minute walk from
the port to the
Metro like three blocks it’s great we’re
already there Osaka
station out of the tram station you’re
right here by the Osaka Museum of
History
and we have about a 15minute walk
actually I can see in the distance the
castle from here see it yeah right over
there quite a few people actually that
decided to take the the tram the Metro
instead of taking an an
Excursion which might be faster because
it looked like there’s a lot of traffic
after they do the crosswalk then they
have a little uh golf cart option which
cost about a
dollar and it was going to
whisk us over to the it’ll whisk us over
to the castle save us a lot of walking
so yeah for like $2 you can get a a ride
up the hill and stuff saves a lot of
walking I like to kind of pace myself
when we’re doing 18,000 steps a
day I think it’s like one of the main
attractions for the entire city holy
moly I’m glad we’re getting here early
well it’s not early as noon
already like all true castles they have
a major wall and then if you if you if
you think you’re going to get over first
you have to drop off that cliff and then
you’re going to try to climb up that
wall no way of getting in no
way have to keep an eye on zaro when a
lot of people yeah lose each
other I got you at sight yeah it’s easy
to lose each
other once you actually get
in then
there’s like you’re in a compound it’s
open up like a little city in here look
at
this just follow the follow the ants
wow look at the size of this Courtyard
what we’re noticing here in Osaka
because we are s
south of in Japan but we’re south it’s a
lot warmer and also it feels like it’s
more summer here everything is totally
In Bloom the trees are beautiful and
green look at that tree ahead of us look
at that’s really pretty I don’t know
what kind of tree that is looks like
little cotton
Puffs and there’s the castle
[Music]
wow that is such a gorgeous tree I I’ve
never seen one like
[Music]
that hello how are you
guys this particular tower has been
reconstructed based on holding
screen so apparently that’s what they
use to figure out how to recreate it
it’s been standing since
1931 well we made it to the eighth floor
not a big deal you can take a elevator
to the fifth and then walk the rest of
the way
up and it’s pretty good
views it’s a big city how many people
live here I have no idea this the third
largest city in
Japan what a view the whole city rolls
out in front of us tall skyscrapers
green Parks it’s a really good place for
pictures
huge huge huge
huge floors 1 through 4 are for
historical information and then when you
go up to the top floor you’ll find some
great views
oh we just got out of the castle and the
castle is interesting but the main the
main focus is seeing it from the outside
like a lot of these beautiful buildings
the outside’s better than the inside go
up to the top look at the
view and right next door there’s a like
kind of a museum place but you can come
up onto the rooftop and have uh lunch
drinks snacks whatever
we’re having a some beer and and a beef
and a beef skewer then we’re going to
move on from here on the tram and go to
the next
destination yeah Z’s looking on the
phone and he’s looking at the Metro
stations and figuring out where we’re
going to go we’re kind of winging it we
had a list of places we want to go and
and then based on our time frame and the
weather because they said it was going
to rain but it’s not so based on that
we’re deciding what to do kind of as we
go I’m B EX about crowds but I want to
go to the car museum there’s a car
museum and there is a steakhouse right
next to the car
[Music]
museum we said beef yours and that’s
what we
got and if you’ve been following our
Channel you know that we love to walk
behind the scenes and look how the real
people live and we’re in Osaka Japan
this is small apartments right here this
is the real Japan we’re outside of a
completely touristy area kind of in an
industrial area actually but we’re
walking towards the car museum at first
I was thinking a car museum really
zaro there’s nobody around nobody’s
walking here hopefully it’s open 3:30
and we did notice that a lot of
places a lot of places
close between 2:30 3:00 till 5:3 6:00
which we found kind of
interesting an old R
rollsroyce and this one is Buick
roadm Master these are from the states
of Plymouth
Chevy the
Chevy where’ they get these they Shi
them in from the United
States Packer my dad had a packer really
yep it was one of his first
cars before me of course before me
they’re in nice shape actually look at
that thing almost looks like one step up
from a
horse look at the woods wood spoks on
the wheels
it’s amazing how car is developed I like
the rose I like the Buick I used to have
a Buick this I really like that
one what is this thing with the snake is
that a horn yeah I
think oh this one is a
Hudson never heard of it they look so
heavy don’t they big huge heavy Clunkers
[Music]
I had an mg it was so cute when I was in
college I rode the bus more when I own
that car it was always broken down was
in the shop
constantly oh look at the red

would drive rollsroyce are you kidding

fortun oh

May they’re brand new I bet they these
things are wor worth

[Music]
[Music]
yeah I I like Japan and I I got a
Guinness zacho got his
pser they have a lot of weird beers here

the chili beer like with hot red pepper

  1. What was that tree? You got up to it and stopped recording just as you came to the sign for it 😊, it was truly unique

  2. The castle was beautiful but too busy – but look at that moat – stunning! The car museum was more interesting than it first sounded – what an amazing collection! Japan has been so interesting I guess partly because we don't hear much about it as a tourist destination – I realise the stereotypipcal view I have of the country is wide of the mark – so thank you for educating me! Safe passage to Vietnam

  3. I’m not into cars, but they were pieces of art! Thanks so much for taking us along. πŸŒΊπŸŒΊπŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦
