Hey guys! Today, we’re taking you on an exciting journey through the traditional yet vibrant city of Kyoto! Our adventure started with a bus ride from Tokyo, filled with numerous stops that offered us little glimpses into Japan’s fascinating culture and advanced technology.

Upon arriving in Kyoto, we checked into the Mimaru Apart Hotel. Our rooms were traditional-style with tatami mats, giving us a real taste of living like a local.

After a restful night on those surprisingly comfy tatami mats, we kicked off our morning with some delicious local cuisine at the bustling Nishiki Market. Fully fueled, we began our walking tour, visiting historic sites, including Japan’s first Zen temple and the quaint Ponto-Cho Dori Street, renowned for its intimate geisha sightings.

Here, we’d like to give a big shout-out to Airalo for sponsoring this video. Thanks to their eSIMs, travelers like us can stay connected in over 200 countries and regions without breaking the bank on roaming fees! Our next stop was the serene Yasaka Jinja Shrine, a beautiful contrast to the lively market we had just left. As evening approached, Kyoto transformed under the night lights, revealing a magical, lively city atmosphere that was the perfect backdrop for our dinner.

The following day was highlighted by the Sanja Matsuri Festival, a fantastic cultural parade that returned after a four-year hiatus due to the pandemic. Witnessing the geishas in their traditional attire was an unforgettable experience and a photographer’s dream.

We then visited the majestic Nijo Castle and made our way to the iconic Fushimi Inari Shrine. Known for its thousands of vibrant orange gates that trail into the forest, this shrine was a mesmerizing sight and a must-visit for any traveler. The torii gates, each donated by a different individual or company, create a path that is both awe-inspiring and somewhat mystical as it snakes up the mountain. We couldn’t resist capturing countless photos beneath those famous arches.

We also explored the Tenru-Ji Zen Temple, the Golden Pavilion, and finally, the renowned Bamboo Forest, where we learned about the incredibly fast-growing bamboo that towers overhead, creating a natural green tunnel that’s as serene as it is beautiful.

Thanks for joining us on this spectacular journey through Kyoto! If you loved exploring this city with us, don’t forget to like, share, and subscribe for more adventures. And stay tunedβ€”our next video is just around the corner. 🌍✨
