the time was 8:15 in the morning the 6th August 1945
the first atomic bomb used in the history of humankind explode approximatively  600 m above this spot
this area of the city was exposed
to temperature of approximatively 3,000 to 4,000 °C
as well, as the blast wind and radiation most people in the area lost their life instantly
this Monument stands in memories of all children
who died as a result of the atomic bombing
the monument was originally inspired by the death of
Sadako Sasaki
she experienced the bombing at the age of two but grew up strong and healthy then in sixth grade she suddenly developed leukemia
in early August 1955 Sadako heard about a Superstition
fold thousands paper crane and your wish will come true
she began folding paper crane using the small paper
it is says that she fold thousands crane in less than a months
she hoped
to recover but but a wish was not granted
nature is very strong
this tree was exposed to the radiation of  the atomic bomb at a distance of about 1,300 M away from the blast
