all righty so welcome back to the second
episode where we slightly head outside
of Tokyo towards Mount
Fuji so to put it simply if you’re
trying to head towards Mount Fuji it’s
actually a station called kuchi station
and so around kucho station and lake
kucho is where a majority of tourists
come and stay at they’re not actually at
Mount Fuji
itself personally though I kind of
prefer the bus over the
train but after a 2hour Transit we
headed to a popular restaurant serving
this kind of specialty in this region
called chicken poto which is basically
just flat Ood noodles with vegetables in
a miso soup I really like this dish it
felt very healthy as well which is a
great break for a fried chicken lover
like me but from the station we decided
to start walking towards Lake
kawaguchiko which didn’t take too long
but we stumbled on a heap of really
amazing locations many little aesthetic
Pockets I would say I did see
advertisements for this boat here about
a ninja experience as well so that was
interesting but the most interesting I
saw on my walk was this thing I guess
you can rent cars to drive around the
lake but another mode of trans transport
is the Mount Fuji panoramic ropeway
which gets pretty busy from 10: p.m. on
so try and make it early here if you can
but basically it takes you in a cable
car towards another mountain or like a
viewing point where you can view Mount
Fuji pretty
nicely but if you don’t exactly fancy
Heights I would highly highly recommend
just strolling around Lake kawaguchiko
itself because well you’ll get to see a
lot of really nice views of Mount Fuji
and of the surrounding areas itself but
if you plan to do this get ready to walk
um a heap unless you’re taking a bus
around UI in the back little short walk
from the station about 30 minutes and um
you get to the other side of the lake
you got to see all of this
so I’d highly recommend walking instead
of taking the boat because like you
literally miss out on streams and
streams of cherry bossom and if you’re
planning to stay overnight just be
warmed because many shops close around
6:00 p.m. except convenience stores
which are pretty much open 24/7 so if
you don’t have a plan to eat at a
restaurant before 6 um be prepared to
eat from a convenience store which isn’t
really a bad thing to be
honest because who would complain about
eating an oniri or a egg sander in the
morning or maybe even late at
night but to start the next day off we
headed to one of the most popular spots
around Mount Fuji
and uh you’ve definitely seen fotus from
here but one thing I didn’t expect was
the amount of cherry blossoms planted
around this area so it was actually a
lot nicer than I expected honestly I
expected just a lot of tourists but
there wasn’t as many as I thought maybe
it’s because I went early so like any
other popular tourist destination I
would just recommend going as early as
possible to avoid the crowd so because
of how bus it is there’s a line
structure to get up to this top section
where everyone takes that famous phot
although the lines look pretty long like
you can see all the way at the bottom of
these lines here that’s like 2 300
people lining up although it does go
pretty fast so don’t be too worried if
you’re a bit late just bring a battery
maybe an umbrella and uh a bit of
patience so one of the other popular
spots around M Fuji is another spot just
by Lake kawaguchi Co called oi Park I’m
not too sure why they call it this but
think of it like a curated Garden in
front of the entire lake with Mount Fuji
in the background with a very nice cafe
in the back as well and a restaurant so
this is one of the places I really
enjoyed exploring and honestly just
chilling by here because you can just
take a bike and just ride around the
lake but I went at a suboptimal time so
this is how it looks like at the peak
Seasons with the giant red bushes and
everything but I went a bit too early
unfortunately but it was still a really
nice experience especially at
Sunset it straight up looks like uh
Mount Fuji erupted like the clouds come
out
[Music]
perfectly pretty nice
[Music]
space so I stumbled on this festival
called the Fuji Shiba Sakura festival
and it’s just this field of pink flowers
and everything by accident because I was
just strolling station and I just saw
the sign so I decided to give it a
[Music]
shot um I have no idea you can
choose holy that looks amazing so
if the things are there I think f is are
yeah that looks so cool
holy look at all that look at all those
flowers basically this whole park was
for photos and um I really enjoyed it to
be honest I got a few of my own as
[Music]
well last
one and
then all
right honestly this is just Instagram
versus reality like there was so many
people here so many
people but I’d say if you’re in the area
while this Festival is on definitely
definitely take a
visit but for now that’s enough of this
Festival so we’re going to start heading
towards one of my other favorite places
around
Fuji but this time we’re going to take
the
[Music]
bike so from Lake hucho it took me about
an hour to bike all the way here but on
the way there was just so many people
chilling by the water like fishing and
everything quite a good number of
tourists here as well all coming on
buses
so this place here is also known as the
healing Village known for its thatched
roof houses with a view of Mount Fuji in
the back but personally I would call
this like a Craftsman Village because
each little Hut here has a different
craft so for example this one had metal
work and glass there was another one
that had silk and another one that
specialized in food so each one had a
different kind of purpose there it was
really fun exploring each one of these
different little Huts but all this
walking and biking has uh really made me
work up an appetite so I don’t
understand any of this chicken
H is number one recommendation so
decided to get that
[Music]
so onto this place where I believe there
was the three world famous roller
coasters here uh perfect for The Thrill
Seekers of which I am not a part of and
so looking at this I was uh very
intimidated and
um I
guess kind of avoided it all so I went
to all the other attractions in this
park but if you are thr SEC then this is
definitely a spot for
you so they’re heading up
and they’re going to come down into the
water yeah they’re going they’re going
all right here they’re at the top
they’re ready to
go down and make some waves all right
yeah they’re going they’re going they’re
going oh my
God it’s raining it’s
[Music]
raining they’re all soaked that’s so
cool
I ran in but I still got so aside from
that we found this haunted house which
is also listed as one of the largest and
scariest haunted houses in the world so
if that fancies your interest then uh
definitely give it a go but I’m
definitely not going in there but for a
uh non scary alternative there is the
naruda village with lots and lots of
spots for you to take photos especially
if you love the series so you’re
thinking all right you’re doing this and
then you look up and see it
no
accept but one of the other cool things
here is the uh themed food like this bow
of alen I would say and fun activities
that I absolutely missed every single
short
oh I want a mat Fu you hat
so there was a lot of unique merchandise
as well unfortunately I didn’t get any
but um it’s pretty interesting to see
like a few of these ones I like this one
though exciting
Park and what I found interesting about
this theme park was just outside was a
French Village that you had to walk
through to exit I got a really nice
custard puff here and I’m really happy
but for the last location around Fuji
one of my favorite ones I decided to
walk from the lake there or all the way
down to the bottom here so it took me 2
hours to walk from one end to the other
but I would recommend taking a bus or
even a bike to be honest I don’t know
why I walked but there was a lot of cool
scenery on the way there like these
fishermen and within the oeno area was
this ninja Village as well unfortunately
it was booked out for a function so I
couldn’t get in but I would highly
recommend checking it out it looked
really cool but this here is aseno hakai
the main
event and is known for the eight
legendary ponds filled with snow melt
from Mount Fuji I would say this is very
unique because it’s like a little
village that is very different from what
you see in Tokyo and I’d highly
recommend popping by just because the
atmosphere is so
different but what kind of put this area
on the map is this photogenic spot
exactly here it’s not photogenic because
the clouds and Mount Fuji was really shy
but this is what it looks like in Winter
just my luck Fuji is there but the
clouds are covering it now this place
gets pretty busy from time to time but
it’s not important to come early or
anything because there’s not really an
activity or a line you need to wait for
but Sunset is probably nice and this was
the highlight of my day see this little
Pap what is but another key feature of
this Village is the food stands that are
kind of packed towards like an area
where you can get lots of different
kinds of snacks and try different things
but most importantly you can get a
souvenir or two like this Mount Fuji
alcohol that I tried buying from my
friend and I believe it was whiskey and
it wasn’t too expensive like there was a
range of prices so maybe grab one if you
have someone to give this St but I
waited a little longer and I found the
this really nice spot where you can kind
of see Fuji it’s not entirely appearing
because of the clouds but still pretty
nice
regardless but that basically wraps up
my journey spending a couple of days
around Fuji and just exploring and
relaxing I know there’s a heap of more
things to do but we’re going to head
back to Tokyo and and kind of start
doing day trips out of that so thank you
for tuning in and I will hope to see you
guys in the next one so take care and
remember to subscribe so I’ll see you
guys next
time yes please remember to subscribe
and everything but thanks for watching
this far see you
