This is day 2 on our trip from 15 day holiday in Japan.
Today, we will be going to Dazaifu by train.
Now, we are in the front of Hakata Station.
We are going to use one day Fukuoka Tourist pass.
The price at this moment is 2,000 yen but after 1 April will be 2,800 yen for one adult.
With this pass you can have unlimited rides for transportation in Fukuoka City
We love Fukuoka because it is not as crowded as Tokyo and Osaka, so we can enjoy more of the area.
By the way, Hakata station is the busiest station in Kyushu island.
But you can see here, the place is not as crowded like in Tokyo.
We feel like people in here are more relax and not always rushing.
We will need to go to Nanakuma Line on the Subway system.
The Nanakuma Line is deep in the underground.
Just look on how many escalators we took to get to the entrance.
Here, you need to show the one day pass or buy a ticket from the machine.
Once you arrived in Yakuin Station, you need to change train to get to Futsukaichi Station.
Exit the station and then head to Nishitetsu Tenjin Omuta Line.
Show your pass again in this station, and they will let you through.
In this station, you need to change train again to Dazaifu Station.
It is a lot of changing train, huh?
But there is a direct way using a bus from Hakata bus terminal.
But it is not covered in our day pass. So we use trains.
We have the video on how to use the bus to Dazaifu, check out our channel.
The train has cool outer design of four season of Dazaifu. We liked it.
We have arrived in Dazaifu Station at 10.00 am.
First, we need some breakfast or early lunch.
There is Ichiran ramen just next to the station exit.
We choose this early, to avoid larger queue later on. This place opens at 10.00 am.
This is just 15 minutes after it opens and there are already long lines.
Fortunately, the line moves fast as people finish eating and go out directly.
This form is to customized your ramen.
Like how thick is the soup, how firm is the noodle, how spicy and so on..
Later on, you will need to order and pay the ramen via this ticket machine.
First jut put your money first and then choose the ramen you want.
Then the machine will give you some ticket to be given to the waitress inside on your table with the form.
The unique thing on this ichiran ramen place, the seat and the bowl is pentagon or it has 5 sides.
Making it very unique experience. The taste is always tasty.
Also, Ichiran ramen was born in Fukuoka, not in Tokyo!. So this is the birthplace of Ichiran Ramen.
We ordered another bowl of chasiu or pork slice meant because it is so good.
After our belly was full, we ready to explore Dazaifu area. Let’s go.
They have this ceramics with images all over the place which has stories on them.
This path is leading to Dazaifu Shrine which has souvenir and snack shops on the right and left side.
There is a lot of people today and it is warmer.
It is too crowded to take a good photo.
You can try unique foods in this area.
This tori gate looks worn down with age.
This starbucks has a unique wooded design. Many people took picture of it.
We wanted to see the spring collection of the tumbler.
This is one of the unique food, grilled mochi.
People line up to take picture of the bull statue in the front.
Beautiful big pond with big fish!
We think the Sakura is not in full bloom yet.
That is a big cherry blossom tree.
But on closer inspection that is not a cherry blossom tree.
Or a different cherry blossom variety.
What we looking for is the somei yoshino type cherry blossom.
It is a beautiful open space with hills on the background.
Birds singing and not many people on this area. The air is also fresh!
What’s that?
Maybe a theme park for kids?!
There is a bee trying to get the nectar inside.
There are many different animal statue. Some are standard, some look scary.
This is the main gate to Dazaifu shrine.
This water is to purify yourself before entering the shrine.
Wash your left hand and right hand.
Today is crowded, many tourist.
The people who wants to pray will move to the front of the shrine.
On the side, there are place that sells lucky charms for various power.
There are also a place to see your luck this year.
You grab a random stick or paper, then it will tell you your luck.
You can also buy a wooden board like this and write your wish.
This place is to hang the paper if you receive a bad luck prediction.
It will be burned and the priest will say a pray to ward off the bad luck.
This is the place to get your prediction. But first, you must insert 100 yen coin.
The shrine was ordinary but there is one unique thing in here.
That is there plants and trees on the roof of the shrine! How can they do that?
This is a big fish.
That is so cool that the roof has grass and other plants.
Let’s go see the back area of the shrine.
That is a lot of place to hang your wooden board wish.
There is a place to hang old gourd bottle? I don’t understand this.
This is a big old tree.
It’s time to go back to Hakata station to go to the beach.
From here we are going to take a train and a bus to Futamigaura.
We will take a train on Airport line, so let’s find the entrance.
Take the train on platform 2 to Kyudai Gakentoshi Station.
We just arrived on the station and will take a bus to Futamigaura to see the white tori on the sea.
But the bus is still 30 minutes, so will take a look on nearby Aeon mal.
The place is nice with open space and mountain view.
That is the station.
We don’t see any tourist here. Which is great.
Let’s go inside.
Are you tired? Are you satisfied so far? This is our day 2 in Fukuoka.
Let’s grab some trolley for our backpack.
What is this? So interesting.
Its a device for emergency, include battery, flashlight, radio. So cool.
She got something interesting. Something cute always attract her eyes.
It’s a purse organizer in bag for make up and various things.
The price is not expensive. It is 700 yen for this thing.
This is 1,100 yen.
The bus has arrived and we got on the bus.
It is nice to enjoy the sea view on the bus.
We have arived in Futamigaura with the beautiful white tori on the sea.
Not many tourist know this place yet.
It is included on the most beautiful places in Japan by locals.
On the behind there is a rock called, a couple’s rock. They look like a couple, right?
If you can throw a rock to reach the couple’s rock then your relationship will be blessed.
So the sun is still shining hard.
We are going to take a picture together.
"You need a sunglasses?"
It’s 5 pm and we just finished taking many pictures on my camera.
The condition was nice but windy. There are many couples here.
Now we will head back to Hakata Station by Bus.
"I think it is a better time now than on the winter to come here."
"Last time we were here is on Winter last year, the wind is so cold."
This is the bus stop.
"In here at night, there is nothing open here."
