TOKYO in a Day: Ep. 55 Ultimate World Cruise| BZ Travel

Join BZ Travel in Episode 55 of our Ultimate World Cruise as we attempt to conquer Tokyo, the largest metropolitan area in the world, in just one day. From the bustling streets of Shibuya to the Senso-ji Temple, experience the vibrant contrasts that define this iconic city.

As we disembark in nearby Yokohama, we’re immediately struck by the innovative architecture of the cruise terminal, featuring wooden decks and a community-friendly rooftop. Our journey into Tokyo begins with a tram ride, introducing us to the city’s efficient and extensive metro system, connecting us swiftly from Yokohama to the heart of Tokyo.

One of our first stops is the famed Shibuya Crossing, known as the world’s busiest pedestrian intersection. Here, up to 3,000 people scramble across at peak times, illustrating the dynamic pace of life in Tokyo. The energy here is palpable, and the crossing serves as a gateway to explore major landmarks and bustling commercial areas nearby.

We also delve into Tokyo’s culinary scene, from traditional noodle shops to the ubiquitous vending machines that offer everything from snacks to personal items, showcasing Tokyo’s blend of tradition and cutting-edge technology.

Our day is packed with cultural immersion, from the high-tech surroundings of Shibuya to the historical and spiritual ambiance of Senso-ji Temple in Asakusa, one of Tokyo’s oldest and most significant temples. This whirlwind tour not only highlights Tokyo’s top attractions but also its hidden gems, providing a comprehensive glimpse into the city’s soul.

thought it would be fun cuz there’s a
lot of the local kids are here and the
food look good zaro didn’t want to go to
one where all the Americans were he
wants to go to where where a little bit
of a challenge and we did it was good he
loves it and he likes the
beer yeah we’re in a major tourist area
like where the shrine is and it’s packed
with tourists and we saw some westerners
over in another restaurant that had all
English menu and stuff like that with
pictures but it’s better to go to one
there’s no picture the all like just the
locals are eating at step couple books

most crowded we’ve ever been in a
Subway no problem though got on and
we’re able to get a
seat probably covered about 80 m in 45
minutes probably more yeah was shocking
yeah
like like the Metro system is out of
this
world this way OK okama maybe we should
buy some tires for our caress okay yeah

  1. Woohoo! Love your videos! I’ve been going back and watching older videos. Just finished Bonaire. 😊

  2. Great video (again). The transition from temple to shopping was brilliant. Always happy to see Zarko get beer. 🎉 . You get so much done in a day but the pieces don't feel rushed. I feel very much at ease with you as my proxy. Such a great team you are. Cheers

  3. All those people! I agree that Yokohama looks much nicer than Tokyo – it's hard to comprehend a city that enormous and sprawling – and that's coming from London! This is such an amazing tour – I have been following you since the very start and can't believe a) how much you've done and b) how much is still to come!

  4. Way too crowded for my liking. I would liked to have seen some of the sights outside the crowded city. I really enjoy watching your videos thanks for sharing them .

  5. Your ease at navigating the streets of Japan is impressive. I envy your spirit of adventure. Thank you for another fantastic vlog.

  6. The “arcade” that you saw around timestamp 5:20 was a Pachinko parlor (closest USA equivalent would be Las Vegas slot machines). There are separate arcade chains in Japan such as “Round 1” that are facilities more like what you would associate arcades with in the USA (Pac-Man, Mario Kart, Dance Dance Revolution, etc).

  7. Lots of cities have cat and dog cafés now because many apartments don't allow pets! Great fun! Loved this video so much!😃👍

  8. Bit too busy there for us
    Lines everywhere
    How’s the beer tour going?
End of cruise list all the Beers you’ve had and rate top ones perhaps?
