moment I’m here in front of the station
kko station took me about 3 hours to get
here on uh local trains from where I
live there is an Express train you can
take from Shinjuku that will take you in
2 hours
there’s also buses and many other ways
to get here but yeah I opted for the
slower route today because I wanted to
try how that was and also yeah it just
made more sense
so uh let’s see where are we uh where
are we where are we where are
we okay this is not where we are I think

stops okay I don’t I’ll start next to
this map so I can kind of show people
but but we’re basically up here so this
map is for the rest of the bus Network
and the is up here on the
K anyway let’s
go so I’m here because I have a photo
shoot here a family session a little bit
later so I’m I’m rocking my big heavy
camera which is not very easy to operate
with one hand but as usual I will try to
you know take some snapshots during the
walk and share with you uh on patreon
and to my members uh we’ll see how if I
manage to get any decent chance
today but yeah my plan now is to walk
down to the lake and uh then look for
some nice uh cherry blossom spots for my
photo shoots uh later today so I thought
why not let you join me on this on this
uh walk around down two and around the
lake the lake is a little bit about 15
20 minutes walk from the
station there are buses but yeah I like
walking and this is one of those areas
that are kind of having a little bit of
a tourism problem I would say there’s
there are more people coming here than
than the place can actually manage in a
comfortable way so that’s a little bit
of a bummer it’s it’s better down by the
lake but you really when you’re around
the station you really feel this kind of
over tourism issue
so uh let me just walk down here this
comini is super famous because people
you see people are queuing to take a
photo in front of this
comini see photographers on that side
people queuing
here and that’s because taada you can
get a nice photo with a Lawson and mon
Fuji in the background which is quite
popular I think this Tre this little
train crossing here is quite popular as
well looks like people are waiting so
I’ll take a picture of the people
instead of the
mountain DJ Charles I think if you don’t
stop with all your stupid questions I’ll
just block you

um your questions are not relevant to
anything uh on this channel
so they even have like a security guard
managing all the queuing people and now
I’ll just go down here and Port
bomb I wonder if this if this Lawson is
doing well because of all the people
coming here for these
pictures
and yeah while the cherry blossom season
is kind of about to end in Tokyo now
we’re pretty much high up in the
mountains and it’s a little bit cooler
here uh meaning that uh the trees bloom
like a week later or so oh this is a
nice facade I really like this bright
red color and the th’s hanging to dry
that’s nice I’ll snap this it’s a nice
photo cross here and start making my way
down towards the
lake as I
mentioned uh actually me and my wife
we’ve been kind of tempted to get a
place around here because we have lot of
photo shoots request around this Lake
this is my second one in less than 2
weeks and uh we actually turned down a
lot of photo shoot requests around here
just because it’s a bit complicated to
get here like I said it takes like 3
hours if you take the train 2 hours if
we drive so it’s a little bit far but it
would be nice to have a place here and
spend like the weekends and some busy
Seasons around here that would be very
nice No Moses I took train today I last
time I came here I went by bus actually
the bus is very uncomfortable it’s a
very like the seats are so tight I’m
very tall so it’s not so nice for me to
take the bus but I’m going home by bus
cuz that makes a little bit more sense
because then I can get off at takagawa
station and then it takes like 2 hours
uh um so I’ll go home by bus but I took
the train to get here and
yeah train was really nice I I enjoyed
the train ride a lot at least once I got
to takao up until taka it was very busy
but then from
taka uh to orski and then I changed in
otsky to the local train down to kucho
that was a very nice train
ride
so I think when I just go by myself I
think I will probably just take the
train from now on but when we go all
together yeah car is just the best
option for
sure

naumi so as you can see this is a very
kind of local Small Town
neighborhood I think it’s just the last
10 years or so that this place really
got super popular with International
tourists before that sure I mean there
were tourists here
but I don’t think it was like on the
same degree as it is
now lake is down
here I’ve done this walk before it’s a
pretty actually a pretty boring walk
until we get out to the lake but yeah
bear with
me yeah the express train from Shinjuku
I was looking into that but it was fully
booked uh I think you need to be book it
quite far in

cool lodging facilities have opened
around here don’t know if this is the
right way
actually um yeah there are like three
Express trains in the morning from
Shinjuku to
kago
yeah you can see compared to the cherry
blossom trees we saw
yesterday these
are
still more in full
bloom not so much green on these
trees compared to the ones down in
Tokyo this is a cute little shrine
I’m
actually walking the wrong way but it’s
okay
let’s see
how yeah how the signal holds up around
here not sure if R can have a solid
Network this far away from Tokyo but

huh s a brewery well it would be nice to
have a cup of sake now but I’ll continue

Lake that’s why we when we’ve discussed
getting a place around here it’s
basically only around that we are
interested in getting
something and there are plenty of like
Resort Mansions as they’re called here
like
older uh apartment blocks
um with uh available rooms but yeah the
one we had a look at in the end of last
year we found a pretty promising place
but then it turned out the running costs
would be crazy high even if we were not
there and uh yeah that was kind of a
deal
breaker for
us

now okay just a little bit further and
we should reach the
shoreline
whoa this looks somewhat deformed must
be very very old maybe looks like it’s
may be made from like volcanic
rock which makes perfect sense
since a
volcano a lot of the ground around here
is made off of volcanic rocks this is
nice this is I guess the other entrance
to the Saka Brewery we just
found I don’t really enjoy streaming
with this thing around my neck this like
a at least 2 kilos Camera Plus

of those I’ve tried them but I never
really gotten along well with them

is kind of overrated to be honest it’s
not bad but it’s like it’s just udon but
with extra
everything and for some reason the
portions are
always
oversized and also
overpriced I’m not a big hotel fan as
you can
hear oh we made it to the
lake bake wonderful I wonder if it’s I
think there’s a walking path down here
along the
shoreline

Yeah so basically I was in a rush this
morning I didn’t have time to eat
breakfast I thought like I’ll just get
something at a convini at some of the
transfers but then it turned out all the
train transfers were like really really
tight
so I didn’t have breakfast until I
managed to get until I got on the last
train then I managed to get a little
sandwich at the
end I still quite hungry I’ll eat
something after the
stream so down
here there’s this big big quite
iconic
bridge over the
lake which we will walk across see the
bridge
there I’m plan to walk plan to walk
across that bridge and before we get
there there’s actually a nice park down
here with plenty of cherry blossom trees
too so
yeah
I think actually I’m wearing my jacket
now but it’s getting too warm so I’m
going to put down
my camera for a moment and just take off
my
jacket cuz I don’t want to be super
sweaty when it’s time to do the photo
shoot

here I just always feel like how much
more relaxed I am once I get out of the
big city it’s so

you can see there’s so many like fancy
hotels dotting the shoreline
here
so actually I think the really good
views there are when we get to the other
side of the lake because then we can get
cherry blossoms Lake Mount
Fuji all in the same all in the frame at
the same
time so
that’s what I’m really looking forward
to and that’s where around there I will
do the photo shoot as
well again peeking
out
yeah you see a lot of cyclists here too
it’s quite a popular route like to bike
around the
lake I haven’t tried that myself but it
would be nice to try unfortunately
there’s no dedicated bike Lanes so you
have to kind of share the road with
traffic which makes it a little bit less
than
ideal

Tourist Zone after all so not too
surprised have to pay a little bit more

you can get a kind of sense of scale of
how how big this lake is I mean it’s
it’s not it’s not a tiny

like there’s always a traffic jam on

when minie started being able to walk

falling around walking around on the
grass in that Park and looking extremely
happy over her new found

bridge but it’s probably not going to be

oh maybe I should just keep the camera
pointing backwards as I cross the
bridge

better and better the further away I

yeah that’s why I prefer to stop when

text ah yeah the place where we actually
went to have a look at an
apartment it was I’ll show you it was in
this that building
there it was an available apartment it
was really cheap but yeah like I said
the running cost would be super high
even if we were not there we would have
to pay
like at least 50,000 yen a
month which yeah doesn’t really make
sense it’s better to just keep that
money and spend it on a nice
hotel when we actually come
here

uh which prefecture are we in now as
back in the clay we are right now in
yamanashi prefecture
so uh mountainous prefecture
just to the west of
Tokyo biggest city is kofu I
believe
going to continue walking across across
this Shoreline on the the other side
here it’s a bit of a
walk
yeah it was a little Shrine on top of
that
hill this gorgeous
sakur
I think there might be a pedestrian
underpass here so I’ll do that now I
definitely want to be on the other side
of the
lake
or H I have to walk all the way down
there look
like
that
there
for
one fun thing about doing this walk is
like now you actually see the the whole
process like a lot of people just
bombard the social media with like the
the photos and the pictures from the
Pretty
places and that’s the only thing you see
but I think by doing this walk and
showing you how to get there and the
whole like walking across this noisy
busy road and everything you get to see
that it’s not it’s not always that
beautiful and glamorous it’s also a bit
of a tedious job to to get to all of
these nice
spots with the terries of trees and
beautiful
nature
over there is the art museum which is
actually quite
nice it’sit surprising that a place like
kuchka has its own fancy Art
Museum it’s work to get to work yeah
absolutely I’ve been walking for an hour
now of course if if I wasn’t live
streaming this I would probably just
have taken a bus to this side of the
lake that’s what I plan to do when I’m
going back to the
station there is like a bus line that
goes around the
lake it’s my first time to do this walk
so I’m enjoying it especially I’m glad
to have
150 people joining me as
well

mon fi in the morning but then it gets a
bit hazy in the afternoon you can’t see

getting a bit more
hazy this camera gear is something to
look out for in Tokyo you
mean if it’s a good place to buy it
or you have lots of shops of course in
Tokyo and it’s a good place for camera
shopping but but it’s not necessarily
that cheap compared to other
countries what I think is the
biggest the best thing about shopping
for camera equipment in Tokyo is that
you have so many shops selling used
equipment and usually in
very with very good
quality um so basically I yeah I buy a
lot of my camera equipment
used
and then it’s a little bit cheaper and
also if you’re a tourist you can buy
things taxfree and you get another 10%
off oh

far like oi Park is one of the most
famous Parks here but it’s actually on

there it’s a bit far
from
actually today’s photo shoot is only one
hour so usually when I do photo shoots
here in kko is like half a
day or full
day but um actually my wife was also
supposed to have a photo shoot here
yesterday and another one tomorrow so
the original plan was that we would just
go here and stay here all together for a
couple of
nights
um that way it would make sense for me
to accept this one hour photo shoot
since I would already be here but yeah
then in the end her clients changed
their mind and then she got a bunch of
shoots in
Tokyo so in the
end yeah I’m just going here on a little
day trip for this photo shoot but at
least I I charge my client a little bit
extra to make up for the travel time and
also I’m kind of enjoying being here on
my own with you streaming so it’s
okay strong opinions about
