right please make sure to pick up your
rage at this time around thank
[Music]
you thank you so bye-bye
all
right miles miles miles miles
miles all right I’m trying to go
to the passport control arrivals this is
Han
airport I’m not going
to any connecting
flight
excuse
this is my second visit to
Japan last time when I got here it was
nighttime but
today my flight
arrived around 2:00
p.m. Tokyo
time is 12
hours nonstop
flight all the way from Los Angeles
California so I’m a little bit uh jit
likeed but last time I don’t remember
walking this
long maybe because I
flew American
Airlines they have uh they use different
terminal I
guess I think it’s Terminal 3 if I’m not
mistaken
but last time I flew Japan
Airline and I don’t remember walking
that that
long it was close to the passport
control when I flew uh Japan
Airline about a
year I think a year ago a year and a
half
ago but the terminal that the American
Airlines use or the gate I should say is
a little bit far so I’m going to
interrupt filming here because I’m not
allowed to film here I don’t want to get
in trouble so I’m going to stop filming
and then I will resume after I pass
through this area here we go stop
now all right Welcome to
Tokyo I am
officially in
Japan
I can say I am officially in Japan
because I
already went through passport control
and customs and I was not allowed to to
film in the uh in the Customs area
either even the area where you collect
your check bag you’re not allowed to to
film so now
the next task is to actually withdraw
cash from an ATM machine and I remember
last time I used this ATM right here
next to the ticket uh
machine yes they still have the same ATM
machine I am and I am actually trying to
use this ATM machine because it takes
uh us uh debit cards ATM cards this one
right
here all right I just withdraw cash from
that ATM machine over there and now the
next task is to get something called SOA
card and I see two offices one there and
the other one is there but there are two
types of
uh they call it I think iy cards
prepared card but for some reason this
is a big line
because maybe it’s more popular the SOA
card is more popular than the the other
one is called what TMO
card so let’s go get it it’s a big line
though but the other
one the other one is
uh uh actually the other line is not
that
big and I asked one of the customer
surface representatives to see which one
I should get she said both of them
are almost the same but I forgot the the
name of that card it’s called pasmo card
if I’m not
mistaken and
uh here is the ticket to get the pass Mo
yeah it’s called passo passport
card but look at that sign it says passo
cars are no
longer
available oh yeah yeah yeah let me ask
uh where I get the pasmo car
here want pay cash credit card uh cash
cash cash cash here because it says here
pasmo cars are no longer yeah no longer
for
no okay so I can buy it here yes cashh
okay thank
you and I can use it for the train to
Tokyo toy okay
okay
like see I got this card called pasmo
card I put 10,000 Yen um on it
but I have bad luck today the K K line
I’m not sure if I’m pronouncing it right
K line that one is closed due to an
accident and that’s what uh the line
that will take me all the way to Shin
yukama that’s where I’m going but since
it’s
closed the customer surface told me to
to to take a bus in state but I don’t
know where to book a bus he said it’s
going to take me all the way non-stop to
to Shin
yukama all right I need to figure out
how that works he told me just line up
here but I don’t want to pay that much
money because the the train cost only
500 yen I’m not willing to pay more than
that to get to my hotel
but we will
see all right I decided to take a bus
because the train is closed due to an
accident just bad
luck and it’s only
900 y it’s like a 400
extra not
[Music]
bad
[Music]
all right here is the bus where is the
bus platform
8 platform eight okay five platform
eight will take me non-stop
to I should not say non-stop I should
say
direct um direct right to
Shin
yukama I’m dragging my suitcase it’s
making a lot of
noise so um the plan is actually was
actually to take a train not a
bus because it’s only
550 y the the
train and it’s actually faster the the
the
train but if I do take the train I still
need to to
transfer here is
uh here is number
eight I am really tired out because of
the long
flight
12 hours non-stop
flight so here is the uh let’s see how
that works I’m going to have to show him
the the
ticket see the bus will arrive in 15
minutes we’ll wait
here dri
than look have

where we
Ging
I just pulled up Google Map and it shows
that my hotel is about a 5 minute walk
I’m looking here at Google map and it
looks like it’s a nice area right
here so I’m going to go uh get situated
at the hotel check in and do all that
kind of stuff and then I will
uh I will go uh grab something to eat
for dinner cuz I haven’t eaten for
almost uh 8 hours and I did not like the
the plain uh
food so let’s see where I should
go I think Google Map wants me to go
this way let’s go so I’m going to keep
filming as I am
uh finding my way to the to the hotel
and see what uh what I see along the
way and this is the first time I am
actually taking uh a big uh suitcase not
really big I would not call this one big
but it’s uh it’s a checked bag I had to
check I had to check it because I did
not take my carry-on luggage in part
because
because pretty much all I own is on uh
is in this uh suitcase because I am uh
traveling
full-time and I don’t uh have a home
base so I’m I’m going to be jumping from
one country to the
next that’s why I I packed uh heavy this
time but I will try to to downsize and
let’s see this area is really nice uh it
looks like it’s a
business um square or something like
that people are uh getting up from work
I
think but I’m
almost I’m almost there see 3
minutes I’m almost
there
just heard that I I I need to be mindful
of
uh of
their culture because they may not like
to be on camera so I try
to I try to uh avoid getting people on
camera but it’s very
hard very hard to
uh to do
that but so far no no complaint
and I have been
to to Japan before this is not the first
time I’ve been in
Japan about a year
ago I went to
Kyoto and but this time I am uh staying
for 2 and 1 half months and I’m trying
to go to
Hokkaido after my
stay in uh
after my stay in Tokyo and
yukama I’ll stay in Hokkaido and then I
will
move
west all the way to
hoshima and uh yagasaki where should I
go now okay Google Map wants me to go
this way let’s
continue
let’s continue this way and I think this
is the
hotel up there up ahead it’s called Best
Western and right there is a convenient
store you
see and the uh let me uh let me put my
phone in my pocket because it’s very
hard to
uh to walk with the phone and the camera
and the
suitcase and the luggage the carry uh I
mean the back bag
everything I’m filming at the same
time trying to watch uh watch out for
the traffic I don’t want to get hit by a
bus or a car here is the Best
Western Hotel no no not this one I think
it’s
here it should be a nice
hotel I’ll be in at thisel hotel for 2
weeks and then I’ll move to another part
of uh Japan that you will find out later
it’s called Best Western Hotel fine Shin
yukama there is another convenient store
right there you see on the corner there
is no shortage of convenience
stores
there we go we got
that all right I picked up the key and
let’s check in this’s
see the room I should
say and I need to put the card
here to turn on the
lights and here is the room it’s a small
room only for one
person and it’s about 63 us per night
and I’m staying here for 2 weeks at this
hotel and here is the
shower right
there
sink
toilet I’m surprised the uh
the uh the bathroom is a little bit uh
big but the actual uh bed is small but
it’s okay the most important thing is I
have the U the computer
desk so I can uh do some work here do
some video editings and all that kind of
stuff and here is the uh convenience
store down there so I’m going to go grab
something to eat and I will buy some
stuff from the uh convenience store and
that will be my last task for today
before I go
