The cherry blossoms at Takato are one of the three famous cherry blossom viewing places in Japan, along with Hirosaki Castle and Yoshinoyama. It was a breathtaking sight, no wonder it is called “the most spectacular sakura blooming under the heaven. ”
Since we had some time before the illumination, we also saw weeping cherry blossoms at Katsuma Yakushido near Takato castle ruins park, Okusa castle ruins park, Kasuga castle ruins park, and Rokudo Tsutsumi.
Returning to Takato, we were lucky enough to see the Takato musical procession at the illumination. Everything was great.
