To enjoy the cherry blossoms from a different perspective, I took the Kyoto Skybus. The bus has no roof, so I enjoyed viewing the cherry blossoms while feeling the pleasant spring breeze. But if you have hay fever like me, a mask is a must!
The best time to see cherry blossoms is generally from late March to early April, depending on the area.

Your president is currently in Washington and has told our President that Japan will gift USA 200 cherry trees because the ones on the Potomac that you mentioned, are all going to have to be pulled out for construction on the sea wall. It will take years before they bloom on the river again. I guess we will just all have to come to Japan! Uht oh…more crowds!
