What is there to do in Okayama prefecture? | J P | Kurashiki, Pokelids and Korakuen Garden

We make the most of 24 hours in Okayama prefecture in Western Honshu, Japan.

Staying in Okayama City on our way down to Kyushu from Tokyo, we visited pretty Kurashiki, find the three Momotaro (Peach Boy) themed Pokemon manhole covers (Pokelids), and then went to see Okayama Castle and the stunning Korakuen Garden.

Okayama isn’t visited as much as other prefectures in Japan, and if people do go there they often just go to see Kurashiki as a day trip. However, it’s definitely well worth spending a bit more time in the local area.

You can find locations of all the Pokemon manhole covers at: https://local.pokemon.jp/en/manhole/
