Hello everyone 💖 welcome to the Lloyd’s family this video will take you on our trip to Taiwan during Chinese New Year Let’s get started ✨ I haven’t been back to Taiwan For Chinese New Year For…. 4 year? And this is Preston’s first time We got to try some homemade “Fa Gao”
My mom made FaGao by herself every new year It’s very easy and so yummy The more exploded the top look the more wealth and luck You can get this year It’s a steam cake So it tastes very light We like it warm so every time
When they are done we finished them right away Very good I like the flavor Qi Shan old street is not far from my home There are lots of food that I’ve been eating since my childhood The drink shop is called milksha They have this barley milk tea that’s very unique
And amazing that I need Preston to try So good That’s delicious This is so so good I like that little cow That’s my favorite 🐮 🐮 🐮 🐮 Because of the Chinese New Year There are LOTS of Lanterns decoration on the street Starfruit almond milk is another thing
That I thought Preston might like The drink shop has been there for over 60 years Despite star fruit almond drink is their signature They also have tons of fruit juice options to choose from ALL freshly blend in front of you You can see temples everywhere in Taiwan Taoism is one of the biggest religion in Taiwan even though I’m a Christian I still follow the tradition and respect the culture The temple we visited is mainly worship MaZu A god originally protected people Work on the ocean
But now people go to her for health, business Family, marriage…. basically everything😅 And okay guys this is my all-time favorite fried food stand in my life I picked taro cake, Fish cake Chicken and Squid for us you can see different food on the plate and you just pick anything you want in the basket they will fried it for you
They season with seasoned salt and pepper Make it however spicy you want And top with garlic and basil leaves It’s a perfect combo in my opinion SO GOOD 👩🏻 Are you excited? 👱🏻♂️Very excited We picked a day to go to Tainan to visit my friends Tainan is in the Southern Taiwan, not far from my hometown SiCao Green tunnel has been on Preston’s bucket list Since he saw a reel on Instagram about it a long time ago
We finally got the chance to come here together The native mangrove trees that are over 50 years old grow densely on both banks of the channel Forming a natural tunnel look waterway It’s the only green tunnel on the water in Taiwan and it’s also known as the “Amazonia”
It was around $8 per adult and $1 for less than 3 years old For the boat ticket The boat ride is slow but fun It’s a very cool and unique view and experience The weather was a little bit rainy So grab a bamboo hat is a smart choice
Tainan is known for delicious food we follow our friend to see what they surprise us with 😉 The first stop is chicken house This place is known for their Fried Chicken They started with a street food stand when I was in high school AND see how big they are right now
We got some boneless fried chicken, fries, and a drumstick The color is darker orange, red ish the batter is very thin but very crispy 😍 The drumstick is so juicy And seasoning is perfect such a great little snack for the afternoon Next stop we went to An Ping Dou Hua
Next up we went to Antigua it’s like soy milk jelly pudding I ordered Profile with milk and Boba and Preston got the while with brown sugar syrup and boba Toward the end of the day we decided to go to Gohan You can find all kind of street food here
The first thing we had is this fish cake thing If you like seafood you will like this too Is simply fried fish cake With boiled egg And then put some magic Play Taiwanese salt and pepper it is warm and filled out your craving a little bit Preston wanted some drink
So we came to TRUE DAN For taro milk with taro balls If you’ve never tried any Taro sweets you have to try next time you see it 😍 👩🏻Good? 👱🏻♂️ehhmm We fount this Photo Booth place They offer so many kind of decorations that you can use for the shoot Me and Preston have been going to photo booth everywhere we travel And just have a fun little memory preserve this way Beef soup is one of the signature dish in Tainan
The beef is butchered and delivered on the day of So the beef is never been frozen and super fresh The beef is thinly cut and raw in the bowl And then put the boiling hot broth in it To semi cook it You can see the beef is still pink when it’s served
My favorite way to eat it though is to add ginger It gives you a little spicier flavor and make your body so warm We ended this Tainan trip with stinky tofu of course🤪 Preston doesn’t like it at all so he was standing very far away from us 😆
The fried stinky tofu is my favorite way to eat it it’s crispy and top with garlic sauce and Taiwanese pickled cabbage The BEST combo 😍 But your breath might smell for a little while Because that’s how garlicky it is 😇 My dad booked us a trip to Kenting
Kenting is the south part of Taiwan known for very beautiful beaches we stopped at this dumpling restaurant It’s so popular that we had to wait outside for a little bit The menu was very simple Basically they only have steamed dumplings and boiled dumplings we got some side dishes too We got cucumber salad
This is dried tofu Pig blood rice cake Another kind of tofu that you will like it Also order a plate of veggies to balance our meal you know 😅 The dumplings are big and have this handmade look If you know what I mean 👩🏻Have you tried one? Is it good? 👱🏻♂️Very good!
It’s very very good It’s a little different than yours, I don’t know why It’s juicy inside So be very careful when you eat them Your mouth might get burned If you eat tooo fast 🥵 We stay in Caesar Park Hotel Kenting We arrived before the check-in time
So we decided to go enjoy the facility in the hotel there’s a kids playing area in their basement I don’t know if this is common for you but this marble But this marble game was so popular when I was a kid You win when your marble goes in the lighted channel
We lost but have a lot of fun Oh so close Charlotte tho had her first ball pit experience It’s massive! And no kids were there when we got there She just enjoy her time… hmmm… licking So that’s fun lol Since it’s technically winter time
There are not a lot of people at the beach And the water is actually not as cold as we expected The hotel has a private entryway for this beautiful private beach I just did my Lasik at the time so I couldn’t do much with the water
But just looking at the view make us r+eally happy and calm Dinner we come to this Thai restaurant I love Thai food I love a spiciness and the sourness of the cuisine We ordered quite a few things Not 100% sure the name of them anymore
Well all I remember is that they are all delicious The moment that I’m editing this video makes me drool and hungry again Kenting has a night market street that you can go explore I would say most of the stuff here is more expensive than other night market
Just because this is a vacation town We got more Tara ball dessert bowl to eat when we go back to hotel And also some banana pancakes Charlotte baby it’s a windy day 👩🏻 Do you have fun? 👱🏻♂️I love Kenting, it’s awesome! I would come here a lot
The next morning the hotel has buffet breakfast there are tons of options western style, Eastern European style, Taiwanese, Chinese….. ALL KIND! I’m not getting my money back here🤣 because I really can’t eat much in the morning All right that’s all for our trip in Taiwan
