Pekora is not only well-loved herself, but Pekomama is also well-known to her fanbase and about 70% of the Hololive fanbase itself. On top, it was a great joke stream and very much in-line with Pekora’s own brand of cray-cray. Lastly, this is in a company that actively encourages memery and sees it as a positive thing.
Who in 9634 has an active audience on the level of Pekora? Does 9634 support memery and talent innovation and experimentation? What is 9634’s general perception by the people who watch it?
At this point, even if 9634 or one of their talents tried to pull off something like this (and with a cost of around $1400 that ain’t happening because that’s the budget for the entire EN branch for the year, apparently), it would only be seen as cheap mimicry at best.
So… no, it’s not going to happen any time soon. Probably ever, if I’m being honest. Or at least until the entire company course-corrects and starts allowing their talents to actually get ahead instead of strangling their efficiency and creativity.
