Today we’re going on D home bloody street and we’re going to check out some street food that it’s known for here in Osaka so let’s go all right so I guess I put money in this machine and I’m going to press the cheese then you get a ticket thank

You all right so I got the 10 cent um cake I got mozzarella you can get custard custard actually sounds better but the famous one is the mozzarella at steaming hot and cheese yet tastes like a waffle though there’s a cheese it’s good salty savory sweet exactly like a waffle cone

Delicious I bet the custard’s better it’s hard no that was right the table got this with fries that’s cool there you go hot all right I’m going to get get my Sushi all right got the K they sear it with that little tin torch give you a little bit of Wasabi so

I guess this is goes from not so good okay and premium KOB beef so we’ll try the not so good or just regular for regular that’s pretty good all right next up is the middle grade but that other one was pretty good it has it looks very rare but it’s got

That torched taste like a barbecue that is super good and for the junus piece to the okay piece I don’t know what they’re talking about cuz it just kind of melts in your mouth so I can only imagine this one that one’s a bit softer but I don’t see much

Difference it’s all good to me so if you’re on a budget just get the um not so good one you don’t have to go for the premium one and I like the um salt they put like rock salt on it it tastes so good really compliments everything and a little bit

Of Wasabi on there super winners my breath is showing it’s super cold all right off to the next stop at the strawberry Mochi place don’t know the name but they have candied strawberries D fuku Mochi which is what I’m looking for with a fresh strawberry on top they got strawberry cakes and

Crepes and strawberry ice cream and smoothies all things strawberry with chocolate and then um you said you wanted a smoothie right um a strawberry smoothie yeah that’s all all right so I’m going to try this strawberry D fuku Mochi and you can pick your insides so there’s matcha and I got

Chocolate there’s your chocolate m super soft and sweet and the strawberries here are really sweet like the ones we have at home are super sour but these ones are naturally really sweet it’s amazing and they’re kind of tinier and I think I’d rather have a tiny strawberry that’s smaller

And sweeter than big and sour super delicious go get you some there’s multiple places that sell this on this street uh this one I don’t know the name but they also have strawberry Mania across the river on the other side if you want to get it if you’re on that side of the [Applause] River here is the famous Don kyot it’s like four stories of goodness but we’re going to go in there another day and check it out all right I lied here’s all the stuff we got for now Kit Kats some squid a lot of different flavors of Kit Kat

Pretty much sake flavored and and they’re gold you can see all this food little crabs here but this line is nuts I mean shopping here is not like shopping at home there’s all these tourists here and food products you can take back and this is the line pretty much

And it’s not moving holy moly so if you do come here it is quite packed and you need to be patient all right I’m going to try this candied strawberry and grapes it’s 200 yen M oh my goodness it’s really crunchy it get stuck to your teeth but it’s super sweet

And delicious and when you get to the fruit like the strawberry it just has a lot of juice M it’s definitely a cavity inducing treat cuz I got stuck in your teeth lastly I’ll try the grape time going get it off I would stick with um the strawberries

Cuz the strawberries in Japan are super sweet The Grapes however are kind of sour so they have all strawberry sticks get that instead for lunch we went to creu takoyaki and okono Miaki and you can go in line and get the street food but we wanted to sit inside their isaka they

Had delicious oysters with soy and lemon juice Of course when you’re in Osaka you need to get tacoyaki this one had a crisp thin outer shell and the inside was nice and soft with a big piece of Taco in the Middle good morning guys this is our last day here in Osaka we’re going to leave tonight back home and um we’re going to do our last stuff I mean kind of have the day to do stuff so we’re going to have breakfast we’ll show you some of that hopefully and um hopefully

I it’s not too intimate where I don’t want to be too loud and we can kind of talk about the food um and then we’re going to go to a marketplace right down the road from our hotel that’s famous for all their Street Seafood items for

Lunch but I’m going to put that in a different video about street foods and um so this will be the last portion of this video um so we can show you what we have for breakfast and then we’ll end it there for the last video of Osaka and it’s somewhere down here oh

There it is on the uh main road that we always show in donon B you can see in the morning there’s all these delivery trucks and the guys that pick up all the trash from last night it’s a very windy and cold rainy day and it’s supposed to

Rain the rest of the week so we kind of scored by coming here and even though Universal was really windy and cold most of the week it was nice and sunny so here it is suia they have the uh Detective Conan theme going on right now that’s a

Popular anime here and it’s a great gon breakfast [Applause] spot so this is the place and what it looks like almost like American Diner but without the American diner food you got your chopsticks here your pickled ginger all your sauces and napkins it’s really easy to order and they have um

All the orders we ordered a Geodon bowl for me with some kimchi on top and a miso soup combo with pickled vegetables Aiden got the curry rice with an egg on the side and I got a hot coffee he got an apple juice wow that was fast service

So this is my gon bow with some kimchi miso soup pickled veg and side egg Curry bowl and miso soup combo really nice so good with the kimchi wow that’s some really good kimchi actually it’s not too fresh but not too sour it’s really just ripe all right

That was such a great meal and for such a great price all these little kodon places for breakfast are such a deal so I pretty much smashed everything and then the bill is 1,110 Yen and that converts to $733 not sure if you can see it but that

Is with Aiden’s meal as well his Curry Bowl so super super cheap and very delicious we are here at kuramon I don’t know if you can see it but it’s super wet so I need to take the camera in but it’s pretty much a market with lots of different foods there’s

Some desserts over there those famous strawberries some melons and all that and it’s very crowded today it is covered up there but it’s kind of leaking so there is some wetness you can get some wagu on sticks um kind of things it’s not just food you get suitcases cuz that’s a lot

Of problems that tourists have including me that you don’t bring enough luggage they even have bonme uh cuz we buy too much snacks and stuff look at that Fugu yikes oh wow look at all this kimchi even G kimchi which is Pilla leaves squid amazing here they’ve got fresh shrimps

Clams some big clams wow it looks like they’re just preparing the fish there oh look here you can get really affordable fatty tuna some o toal some sea urchin and you can just eat it right here wow okay we got some well total it is only 1,600

Yen so here it is he pours you some soy sauce you can sit at this table they’re making the fish right there you can eat it okay Down the Hatch she goes look at this fatty Oto M just melts in your mouth it’s so fresh definitely come down to this Market it’s

Literally across the main intersection by our hotel so like I said our hotel is really conveniently located and it was not expensive at all and it’s right across the street from the entrance of donon B and then this market and then um also um next to a 7-Eleven and all the

Main things and next to nbus station for the kai uh rail the rapid that comes straight from the airport all right we’re here next door to an old lady’s stand um she’s got wagu only a th000 CO beef for 4,000 and mizaki beef I don’t know what the difference with that

Is but let’s try some she’s going to grill it on the skewer so we have the uh wagy beef skewer we couldn’t afford the coob cuz I don’t want to take more money out since we’re leaving today in a couple hours but you know what look at that you

Can just bite right through it’s so fatty just falls apart so good and the sauce she dips it in is really good so soft oh my goodness I could only imagine what the coob is like but that’s like 20 something I think it’s 28 bucks for just one stick but this is only

1,000 so that’s like about maybe um less than 10 bucks 8 bucks something like that so not bad over here there’s roasted steamed sweet potatoes that you can get you know like at times but this is the real deal and here is some I guess they’re selling Fugu puffer

Fish Sashimi well we had that at that sushi place and I did not really care for it literally tasted like muddy freshwater fish to me so not a fan maybe it was prepared wrong but here it is oh my goodness here’s the Sashimi of the puffer fish the

Fugu some people are eating it over here look there’s all these vegetables this place is actually huge if you just keep going down it keeps branching off to different places look at these beautiful flowers and I apologize I just realized my stabilization was off so earlier hopefully it wasn’t too diying

But these beautiful colors wow look at that look at these pickled vegetables here in this Barrel wow all these pickled veggies all these pre-made Sushi offer a pretty cheap price that’s crazy I’m on the hunt to find those strawberries again I saw another Market selling it for cheaper those um pinkish whitish strawberries

That they make in or they I’m sorry they grow in Japan here’s a stall sing selling the white strawberry juice and you can see them here those are the white strawberries chestnuts some chestnuts that are roasted you can sample some I guess we can sample some let’s

Try that’s really good look at these big scallops and some oysters my goodness it’s a seafood lovers dream here they have all these um coffees that are green they’re not roasted yet that’s crazy you can go get some coffee it says Honduras Papa New Guinea Ethiopian coffees Thailand Brazil and Indonesia

Columia wow look at this there’s crab some big shrimp look scallops number one king crab wow one plate 4,000 there this little stuff I don’t really want king crab because I don’t want to peel it and then a crab stick with cheese maybe we’ll try this looks good it’s like a soup

Here and he’s grilling some scallops that’s not our order though we got a crab stick and we got um some shredded crab that way it’s easier to uh peel cuz I don’t feel like smelling like a crab with dirty fingers on the airplane so it’s nice that they have peeled crab

Already all right our food came out so this is my crab it’s already peeled in the little crab shell with some green onion and a um put some of the torched butane on there that torch to give it a crisp on top and here is Aiden’s crab stick it’s not real crab

It’s like a imitation crab but they put cheese and put it on the grill as well and low torch it with that flame to give it a crisp top let’s try this all right this is the crab in the crab sh dip it in the sauce so fresh that’s some bomb ass crab

Yeah and so cheap here this is like could not get it for this price in the United States how’s the crab is it cheesy all right that little snack of the cheese crab stick and the fresh crab that was grilled over the fire was about let me convert this

$204 can’t go wrong fresh crab that that was actually really delicious and they have places to sit down so that was really nice as you can see other stalls have places to sit as well so um don’t worry you don’t have to walk around and eat here’s some

Sashimi another place with a lot of crab and they’re grilling all that king crab there all right we’re going to try these little strawberries these are the cheapest another stall was selling them for 600 so they’re 3.98 so let’s try it these are the sweet white strawberries from Japan here are

The strawberries we got we couldn’t really film in the market because it it was super crowded okay let’s try one all right so here’s the little tiny strawberry you can already smell it it’s very strong sweet they’re sweet just like the ones we had on the

Stick at night I mean really sweet even without sugar or anything like that I’ll try the red one that looks regular but it’s a very deep red really naturally sweet not sour really delicious he so I hope you like that tour of camon market and all the

Street food you can get in the Namba area of Osaka as I said it is Japan’s kitchen that’s their nickname so lots of great eats if you’re ever in this area this is um pretty much the touristy area I would definitely come to puton and come here early it opens some stalls

Open at 9:00 but most of them open at 10:00 when we came here it was about 9:45 not too crowded I mean there was quite a lot of people but now it is so packed who can’t even move through the uh aisles but it is huge it’s all

Indoors um it is quite chilly cuz it’s open air but at least it’s raining today you can keep dry um so much to offer different types of food grilled Seafood a seafood Lover’s Dream but if you don’t like seafood there’s tons of Kobe beef and wagu beef all grilled and um different

Types of cafes with coffees and like you saw um they even sell coffee to roast at home so Al kind of eats so hope you enjoyed that episode and I’ll see you again next time take care everybody peace Out

  1. I forgot that we also had kushi katsu with the total price at Creo-Ru, but we were so hungry I also forgot to film that as well.

  2. Sour Strawberries? Do you have strawberry stands in Hawaii? Fresh picked from the farm is best, and you want to make sure the red goes all the way up into the cap. If you go to a chain store the berries are picked for longevity on the shelf, that means they aren't ripe. If they used ripe, they would be rotten before you got them home. Hope that information helps. I could tell the berries you had in Japan were premium.

  3. Loved your Japan trip. I just want to go to eat haha.
In Okinawa we found that the best time to go to Donqi was 1st thing in the morning. Before all the other tourist got their day started.

  4. Loving this itinerary. You always have the greatest vacations. What references do you use to decide where to go. I usually start with AAA travel guides, but you must be using more detailed references.

  5. I bought some Japanese strawberries in Ca. Red – $18.99 blush- $28.99 these were pkgs of 8 strawberries. They were good but I’ve had better at a local farmers mkt. I had to try them though.
Thank you for taking us along on your Japanese adventure! Sue

  6. Hi Misty, thank you for sharing your beautiful video foods look delicious I do loves Osaka fun city. Have a great weekend. Peace

  7. OOOOoooo OYSTERS!❀ The Japanese kimcheeis very tasty IMHO, especially in a okonomiyaki. I got spoiled when i lived in Odawara. Great video Misty! Hope to see you tonight!❀ peace out!

  8. Nice variety of foods and places! So the candy coated fruit is tanghulu. It's actually a Chinese treat, but I've only had it in Japan. Cannot find in Hawaii! Tsukiya is sort of a beef bowl competitor with Yoshinoya the way Ippudo is to Ichiran in ramen.

  9. Oh BTW, I wanted to add something about the fugu. Agree with you 1000% I had it in Fukuoka because, well, everyone said that's what to get there! It was bland, kind of chewy, and honestly, I did not see the hype. I think it's just the idea that you're eating something that might possibly be poisonous.

  10. That was a lot of delicious food on your last day in Japan. Now, I want to try those strawberries on a stick. Thanks for sharing. Get some well deserved rest.

  11. Aloha Misty and Aiden: Thank you for taking us along on your street-food journey in Osaka. I was β€œwowed” by the food available at the vendors. However, the beef sushi, and the large beef stick, got me wanting to try some β€” interesting way to eat beef. That was a great vlog and you hosted it well. Looks like you both had a great time. Looking forward to your next vlog of β€œyumminess.” Best wishes and much 🧧! πŸ€™ to a fellow 🐯-alumni! πŸ˜€

  12. It is easy to be overwhelmed with all the fantastic to pick from, especially when you're hungry. So hungry now 😒😒😒😒😒

  13. Great video Misty!!! The food always looks so delish. No wonder your videos look so good, finally saw your camera setup! That’s so awesome, Sony has some really awesome lenses and cameras. I sold some of my stuff to β€œthin out the herd”, but still have a lot. If you go to Pro Camera, they’re my good buddies! Maybe I’ll see you there one of these days

  14. What an interesting gastronomical street with Kobe beef to boot! It’s always nice to try new things like the candied fruits. I wonder how they grow such sweet strawberries at the end of winter. Even the strawberries coming up from Mexico this time of year aren’t too sweet yet.

  16. Hi Misty Its been a while I am sorry. I have been so busy with my 93 year old father with advanced dementia and he isn't too well right now. Nice to see you are in Japan, I would love to go to Osaka, their food looks so good and Japan overall looks fantastic. Thanks for sharing hun I hope ou have been well.

  17. Congrats Misty, you survived the Japanese transit system. Had to laugh when you mentioned that a local ran away when you asked for directions. Most are too embarrassed to speak English to foreigners.

  18. πŸ™‚ WOW! THANKS MUCH for sharing! STILL BEST Meal was Breakfast, LOVE CURRY! ALL the BEST and Cheers πŸ™‚
