It’s not exactly a Japanese dish but I like using sesame oil when I make fried rice.

Regular sesame oil? I use it as a finishing oil. So on rice, avocado toast, etc. spicy sesame oil, anywhere I’d put hot sauce on: omelettes, pho/ramen, rice, meats, etc

I like using it just for like, cooking scrambled eggs sometimes!

Pretty much everything you want to have that Asian tastes to it, pairs great with peppers, sweet flavors in meats. And spice after the fact everything great. I recommend finding a recipe and just substituting sesame oil for whatever oil the recipe calls for
* I’ll add it to other oil to stirfry * Add it to coleslaw * I add a little for my okayu when I want a smokier flavor (usually with mushrooms) * Add some to surigoma sauce * When I make yakiniku, I like having sesame oil mixed with salt and pepper on table as well as tare and goma sauce * It’s wonderful mixed in with jjajangmyeon

Not necessarily Japanese food but at a lot of Korean bbq restaurants use a dipping sauce of sesame oil and salt with their meat. It works well with grilled meats of chicken, beef, and pork.

I recommend getting pure sesame oil, rather than a blend. I think you’ll like it even more!

I like to drizzle soy sauce and little bit of sesame oil on plain avocado. A nice healthy little snack.

Use it on edamame. Look up the Roy’s restaurant edamame pupus recipe. Soooo yummeh!

Everything! Favorite staple in our household. Kimbap, congee, stir fries, dumplings, noodles, salads, hummus, soups, steaks…I could keep going, getting hungry…😜
