Hey guys how you doing happy weekend it’s St Patrick’s Day happy St Patrick’s Day I completely forgot all the St Patrick’s Day um I just made a quick little video on X and put on to X and I was saying that um see I I stopped drinking alcohol more than two years ago

And because alcohol is not a part of my life anymore I don’t drink at all I don’t go to bars I don’t go to pubs any of that stuff um so for me St Patrick’s Day was always obviously connected to alcohol I was either going part bu pubs

Or bars with friends with co-workers with my wife um when I wouldn’t I’d be at home but i’ would be like it would be about like buying Guinness and bringing that home or special beers Porters Stouts bringing home drinking and I don’t do that anymore so I forgot but I

Used to make steak and Guinness pie which I forgot to do too so I got to make one of those got a holiday coming up and I’m going to be making one of those cuz everyone in the family including myself loves the great St and Guinness pie um yeah so I’m just at

Walking check this so guys um I’ll show you some stuff that’s going on here so this is in Batu firingi and this is an area that is usually just rampant with monkeys and there’s some freaking maacs over there and I I hate the maacs they’re just gross they’re aggressive they’re

Nasty did I mention they’re aggressive um they’ll attack you they’ll bite you if they think you got food um and the problem is is that this area a lot of people come and feed the monkeys and feed these pigeons because of that tons of monkeys come here eating really crap

Human food and they’re really aggressive now this is new this is a Chinese Shrine that was built since I’ve gotten here so in the last like six months I haven’t been up this is just it’s pretty near where I live but I I never walk up this way

There’s a stray dog a lot of stray dogs around a lot of wild dogs I think in the monkeys are usually all over the place here nice little Shrine it’s new very new and it’ll be competing with a shrine that’s just down the road a bigger Shrine and they’ve got over here

Uh these big things incense holders oh sorry incense holders yeah now this building is interesting over here this complex was built just before Co happened and this was supposed to be a wet Market which is kind of like a fruit vegetable meat Fish Market um it’s a very new complex and

It’s never open open never been used it’s interesting if you look it on Google Maps it says shopping mallely not a shopping mall but apparently it’s supposed to be a wet Market it’s a brand new Chinese Shrine um yeah so again there’s a shrine just down the road this way some apartments more

Apartments here kind of kind of lower end kind of economically um hey bud I don’t know this dog I know a lot of local neighborhoods stray dogs I don’t know this dog um all right so let’s continue going this and usually got tons of monkeys around here you don’t want to be

Carrying any kind of bag when you’re here you do not want you see that car over there they that car just went by and they they threw a bunch of fruit down for the monkeys these monkeys have fruit now so the monkeys a lot of people think they’re helping they’re helping

The the animals the local Animals by feeding them but actually what they’re doing is making life more difficult for people because the monkeys associate people with food they see people they get aggressive they want what you have if you have bags or anything they get nasty and they’ll attack people they’ll

Bite you they got nasty big bangs so those are the maacs and maacs will do those we’ll do that all right so this apartment complex has some restaurants in it some little shops normally don’t come down this way here’s again that place that Batu fangi the the

Wet Market that was never used I don’t know what they’re going to do with this complex it seems like such a waste and then there’s like kind of more upscale housing that was built here that no one lives in either it seems maybe they they built them and they never sold

Them so I don’t know what goes on there so here’s a I think this is going to be a Chinese roadside Shrine that’s locked up these around here in Pang that are owned by or run taken care of by overseas Chinese a big overseas Chinese Community here um and these mini market so

Up this path and this will take me uh to a kind of traditional Malaysian Village and a lot of these Villages are being flattened for development it’s pretty gross here pretty nasty it’s like a dump it’s plastic you see plastic everywhere I I can’t speak for all of

Malaysia but I’m panang there’s just plastic bags plastic pollution garbage everywhere it seems that folks have no problem with just Dr they just dump crap everywhere there seems to be like a real lack of Pride where they’re from like there’s no kind of environmental awareness environmental thinking as you

Can see like look at this it’s just like a dump it’s really awful I hate seeing this my students hate seeing this I was really surprised to see this when I moved to Malaysia last uh summer I did not think that this would be something I would encounter but it
