I think this is bad regardless of its during the merch slideshow, an hour before or as the show stars. Because Fes is gonna dominate the conversation, people (in general withouth taking into account loyal fans) are gonna be thinking, talking and be excited about Fes. I doubt anyone wants their 3D debut to be seen as a time killer while they await the good stuff.
Doing it the on the same day was already an stupid move but one that could’ve been salvaged if there was an 8 to 12 hour difference, but this is a dissater
