History of Boeing 777-281ER JA716A

Serial number 33414 / Line Number 574 was manufactured 2006, performed her first flight on June 20, the same year and was delivered on June 30, 2006 to All Nippon Airways.

JA716A was originally configured in a C70W36Y117 seating layout for international operations and reconfigured in February, 2017 in a C21Y384 layout for domestic operations.

Equipped with Pratt & Whitney PW 4090, the entire fleet of ANA’s Boeing 777-200 series and the domestic fleet of the remaining five Boeing 777-300 was grounded, following a United Airlines incident in February, 2021 that saw engine parts falling over Denver.

After the Corona Pandemic the demand for domestic air travel picked up sharply in 2022.

ANA reinstalled Boeing 777 operations on domestic trunk and regional routes with high passenger demand.

Awaiting the delivery of the Boeing 777-900 and the Boeing 787-1000, the Boeing 777-200 will continue operating on the domestic route network of All Nippon Airways for the time being and is still going strong.
