The Secret Mt Fuji Spot No One Knows About 🇯🇵

As our time in Japan nears its end we spend two days in and around the magnificent Mount Fuji. You can only climb Japan’s most famous volcano in the summer so we instead embark on a variety of different Fuji related activities at the base. We begin in the Oshino Hakkai traditional Japanese village which is like stepping back in time. Fed by melt water from Mt Fuji, the village contains eight crystal clear spring water ponds set amongst old thatched roof houses and traditional Japanese food and craft shops. After exploring the village we drive to the Kitaguchi Hongu Fuji Sengen Shrine, a shinto shrine and UNESCO World Heritage site found in a clearing at the end of a long pathway of tall cedar trees. We then head into a forest to visit the Fugaku Wind Cave and Narusawa Ice Cave which are kept cold by underground ice. They were created following the eruption of Mt. Nagao and contain silk worm breeding projects and stores of different tree seeds. Once out of the forest we drive up to the Koyodai Observatory, a concrete rest house constructed more than 50 years ago which has an incredible view of Mount Fuji. The following day we drive south to the Mishima Skywalk, a 400m long bridge with views of Mt Fuji and comes complete with zipline, zoo and forest assault course. Finally, we swing by the famous Hakone Shrine which is the perfect place to end an unforgettable two days in the area.

Fuji highlight and low light seeing the mountain for the first time low light when I fainted on the sky Bridge my highlight probably the observatory yesterday evening that the view out there was just amazing it was so peaceful I enjoyed that zip line a lot
