Given how long it takes to set up this kind of thing I highly doubt any of the recent controversy was related to this decision. Regardless, it’s an strong move showing Cover’s commitment to strengthening their international reach; I imagine investors will take more interest in this kind of development than they will in Anycolor’s turtling up in Japan.

Well, would you look at that. While Niji’s En Branch has the threat of being merged to JP branch looming over it, Holo’s expanding and making their talents more comfortable in their own home territory.

It could’ve been you, Niji. But, as you are now, it really shouldn’t be you.

I feel it may have been partially in response to a number of EN talents moving or talk about moving to Japan for job reasons

As pointed out before, it is highly unlikely that Cover Corp made this decision with the Kurosanji situation in mind.

Setting up this kind of thing takes a lot of time and when an announcement like this is made, it is usually at a point where it is already almost done/no way of cancelation.

So really, this is Hololive/Cover Corp doing things and winning without even trying.

Damn, I feel lucky to be a Hololive fan. The EN girls will have people local (or at least english speaking) to coordinate with.

Their timing is perfect lmao. But hey, after escape the yatch and wait for 6 months cool down, at least now they know where should they heading to.

Also imagine hologra in USA, live concert, Jp members perform in America and even Omega alpha resurrection as A chan role. So much potential

  6. Like me and others said a ton of times, Cover has the real business brain not like Anycolor, They are really dumb for business for long run.

what i dont understand is “COVER USA will uphold its mission “Together, Let’s Create Culture Loved by All” and is committed to expanding its talent group to English-speaking countries and Indonesia”
indonesia is more close to JP than US, but they give authority to US……

Should have opened their offices in Texas instead, usually Japanese companies that open their offices in California end up becoming brainwashed, and if the EN Branch for Nijisanji does fall, the toxic Nijisisters will have a new place to inhabit and spread their poison.

On another note, Hololive can use another office in Hawaii. Sure, Dondoko Island would be nice. But we’d need the Hololive Pacific Fleet in Pearl Harbor.

Having foreign branches be incorporated is actually the standard business practice for jp corporations. As it isolates them legally as parent company. Allowing proper tax law compliance, and labour laws.

Cover obviously saw what has been said about nijisanji. Had lawyers look into it more and said opps ya we should be doing that.

As to how long it takes, not long I’ve set up a company in hours. Now to buy a building and staff the corporation. Ya that takes a bit more time. But if the parent company has cash reserves they can get that done fast.

At least Hololive fans can rest assured that the boys and girls outside of Japan are treated well with regards to labor rights. You can’t open a physical presence in California USA and pull the same shit Kurosanji does.

I love how Holo continues to do cool stuff while Niji is engulfed in the flames of drama and controversy.
