Welcome onboard the outbound leg of All Nippon Airways B 777-281ER JA714 from Tokyo-Haneda to Hakodate on the Southern tip of Hokkaido in cold February.

Thank you for visiting my channel.

History of Boeing 777-281ER JA744A

Serial number 40903 / Line Number 1102 was manufactured 2013, performed her first flight on May 17, the same year and was delivered on May 30, 2013 to All Nippon Airways being one of the latest frames of the 200-series manufactured.

Equipped with Pratt & Whitney PW 4090, the entire fleet of ANA’s Boeing 777-200 series and the domestic fleet of the remaining five Boeing 777-300 was grounded, following a United Airlines incident in February, 2021 that saw engine parts falling over Denver.

For a limited period of time, JA744A carried special titles “Tokyo 2020”, resembling the Tokyo Olympic Games, originally planned for 2020.

After the Corona Pandemic the demand for domestic air travel picked up sharply in 2022.

ANA reinstalled Boeing 777 operations on domestic trunk and recently also on remote routes with high demand.

Awaiting the delivery of the Boeing 777-900 and the Boeing 787-1000, the Boeing 777-200 is used on the domestic route network of All Nippon Airways for the time being and is still going strong.
