Hello, can we take a photo? They ignored me! The cops have a lot of work tonight. Wow thank you! Bye! See you! Bye! This is Super Ultra Panks Gaijin Cycling Nation Series A weekly cycling blog showing our tour in Japan from Nagoya to Tokyo We hope you enjoy watching it.

If you have suggestions, please leave a comment. Please share this video to help us with Youtube’s algorithm. This program is brought to you by the following sponsors and Budol Buddy’s wealth. Welcome to the non-cycling episode of Super Ultra Panks, GCN series. On this episode, we will be taking a break from cycling.

This will be our first break after cycling for 7 consecutive days. We’re lucky we took a break on Halloween. Our goal for this episode is simple. Go sightseeing during halloween in Shibuya. We’ll see what’s going on and why are people from all over the world interested in it.

So what are you waiting for? Let’s go, ikimashou. Marlowe became interested when he heard the word Instagram. All of us were together for 7 days. we decided to have an alone time today. But before we take our day off, me and my live-in partner Budol Buddy finished some house chores.

And that is washing our clothes. We’re learning on Youtube how to use this washing machine. They have the same sound! This is how you do Japanese laundry. Should I put my puffy jacket? This is the soap we’re using. “Attack”. If you’re wondering where’s Kriz and Jilson,

They went out together, Jilson wanted to make the most of his time in Tokyo before going back in Manila. He’ll be leaving earlier than us. – Do you want to buy food for cooking? – Okay. This is will be… “Living Together with Higad and Marlowe”.

Just so you know, our place is within walking distance from Tokyo Skytree. We wished to experience how it’s like to live like a salaryman living in Tokyo. That’s exactly what we’ll do. We’ll start by buying food for cooking. We have no idea where the locals buy their groceries

So we ended up buying in a convenience store. please choose how would you like to pay. We have a Gaijin tip for you. every time your coins pile up and you don’t know how to spend it, just use all of it when paying on these machines. They have these machines in 711.

Just toss all your coins here, If you’re money’s not enough, that’s when you put in a bigger bill. The machine will try to give change but in bigger amounts. Now you have less coins and easier to count your money. Put this on our food.

We’re not sure if this is what the locals eat but we don’t care. This is what we’ve made. let’s give it a taste. Hmm! Not bad. These are my clothes, I hope they dry. After having a live-in partner simulation with Budol Buddy, We went on our days separately.

He’ll be joining Jilson while I buy gifts for friends. What’s nice about Japan is they have great urban planning. Transpo is easy even if you don’t have your own car. Almost all people in Tokyo use the train. Even the rich people use it.

Walking around the city is easy because they have wide and clean sidewalks. I also noticed all people follow the traffic lights. Not just motorists but also pedestrians. Thank you! Thank you very much. They have candies. We’re here in Akihabara. For me, this is like their Greenhills Shopping Center.

Because you can find lots of toys and videogames here. It’s also like Raon because you can buy electronic parts here. Let’s test our luck on this crane machine. We might win something. It seems we still have the bad luck from the previous episode. I don’t think it’s here, Marti.

Excuse me, I’ll take this one please. We got a gift. a totebag with 2 cats fighting. After my own shopping, I meet up with my friends who also went shopping in Omotesando. I’ve been walking for hours! – Did you buy all of that? – Yes, it’s all for Akie.

If you plan to go to Tokyo, wear your most comfortable shoes. Your feet will hurt from all the walking. There’s no Jeep, no tricycle, no motorcycles. You’re left with only you and your patience on this tour. So might as well wear your most comfortable shoes. Okay, today is October 31, 2023,

We’ll se if there’s a party going on in Shibuya, or if the mayor has successfully stopped the biggest halloween event. Last one, thank you! Can I tag you on Instagram? – Oh Instagram? Yes! – There we go, connecting people… Marlowe became more interested when he heard “Instagram”.

Salamat! I mean thank you! I talked to them in Filipino, I said “salamat”. We’re now in Shibuya crossing where most people gather during the halloween. I’m not sure when did this trend began but 2018 was the wildest Shibuya halloween I’ve heard.

The people were getting rowdy because they can drink alcohol on the streets. I wasn’t there but I heard people were trying to flip trucks upside down. I don’t know why they did that but that’s their thing back then. Some years later, they had violent train attacks. It was wild.

We went here in 2019 just for the experience. We uploaded the full video here in our channel if ever you want to see it. Just click the suggested video in the end to watch it. – What do you want me to say? – Whatever! After the long lockdowns, people are slowly going out.

It felt the same like before. There are lots of people on costume, lots of foreigners, and a lot of cops. The cops have a lot of work tonight. The police force are spread out to manage violent incidents. Space sherriff Shaider! The authorities are also discouraging gatherings here in Shibuya.

But we’re still here. Humans are stubborn by nature. Gojira! Thank you! Doraemon! Happy halloween! Wow! Thank you! Bye, see you! Hello, can we take a photo? They ignored me. Bye, take care! After feeling tired and embarassed we headed back to our airbnb.

Before Jilson’s flight back home, we’ll go shopping in the nearest Don Quijote. Today is November 1, 2023, Jilson’s last day here in Japan. What is that? Golden horn. We biked to the biggest Don Quijote store here in Asakusa to buy gifts. Ohta Isan is an antacid.

A half of this costs 750-900 Pesos in Manila. But here, this big can costs only 400 Pesos. This food costs 200 Pesos in the Philippines. But here… It’s 199 Pesos. You saved 1 Peso?! They have a conveyor belt to roll your bikes easily. It’s fun to ride a bike in Tokyo during mornings.

It feels like I live here because I get to bike on the streets. Plus the wind is cool and the weather is fine. The sky is so clear. All blue. Not as pale as what we have in Manila.

There are a few cars during this time here in Asakusa so it’s easier to ride a bike. We passed by Sensoji on our way home. This is the famous shrine with a big lantern in Asakusa But we didn’t stop by because we have bikes. You bought a lot of stuff.

– These cost a little. -How much? 4,000 Pesos. He spent 4,000 Pesos, that costs a lot for me. When we got back home, Budol Buddy received a good news! We’ll be cycling with the Swift Industries people. Budol Buddy met them when he was in the States.

Right now, they’re here in Japan and they plan to ride with Bluelug and since we’re all here, they asked if we wanted to join their bike ride. I’m not sure if it’s a bike ride or just plain having coffee. But on November 5, Bluelug posted an open invite.

You just have to bring your own snack like an onigiri and we’ll eat together in Yoyogi park. We might join also join them. We might join also join them. We biked from Asakusa to Hatagaya area. Google maps says it’s about 18.8kms.

There are a lot of spots here in Tokyo that looks like Manila. This place looks like Ayala, right? You’ll often see these people riding go karts in costume. It’s a tour where you drive go karts in convoy. But if you’re a tourist, you need an international driver’s license to join.

This is the famous Tokyo station. This is your stop if you’re on a bus from Narita airport. I also noticed that the outter lanes are reserved for delivery trucks. We’re here again in the dreadful Shinjuku station. It looks like a mall if you think about it. Oh my lord!

We’re here in Bluelug Hatagaya! After a long trip, we’re now here in Bluelug Hatagaya. But they’re closed today. They told us to meet with the Swift team in Yoyogi. But before leaving, we gave a very Filipino gift to their crew. It’s a super ultra hard to source Philippine dried mangoes.

We took the effort to buy this from the far-flung areas of NAIA. He was serious about the dried mangoes! Before heading to Yoyogi, we stopped by a konbini to buy first aid for Kriz. He crashed his bike and needs first aid for his wounds. – That’s enough. – Yeah.

But during this time, we’re not sure what to focus on. We’re torn between Kriz’s wound and the guy we met here in Hatagaya. You’ve finally seen face to face! Aren’t you happy?! I’m with Nigo right now. This is Nigo, he’s a barber here in Hatagaya.

We often see him modeling stuff for Bluelug. We were starstruck when we met him and totally forgot about Kriz’s injury. That’s the type of friends we are. Clout first before friends. After biking for 10 minutes, we’re now here in Bluelug Yoyogi. This is where we met Alex, Weston and Martina.

They are the Swift Industries team visiting Tokyo. I’m Marti. Alex, Weston, Martina. Hi, nice meeting you. We took the chance to brag about our Nagoya to Tokyo bike tour. – How long were you out for? – 7 Days!

They also took the chance to make a testimonial video from Jilson on how he uses his Swift Industries bags. I use a Swift Industries Zeitgiest bag and This bag basically carried me through out the pandemic. It carries all my stuff that I use when documenting the streets of Manila.

I use this as another carrying case for my camera. So I have a quick access to my camera whenever I see a scene. We also gave the Swift team our very special gift. – Very delicious! – Oh, yey! Let’s do a quick tour of Bluelug Yoyogi. They sell the same stuff here.

If they don’t have what you need, they might have it in other branches. This is where I bought all the onigiri reflectors that I plan to give to my friends. Team onigiri! – Thank you! – I’m so hungry! Thank you! After visiting Yoyogi, we’re back in Shibuya scramble crossing.

But now it’s brighter and the cops are gone. Why do a lot of people go to Shibuya crossing anyway? First, there are a lot of shopping stores here in Shibuya. Actually, there are a lot of interesting things to see.

Second is it’s in front of Shibuya Station. There’s a lot of foot traffic here. Hachiko’s statue can also be found here. And finally, it’s because of the pedestrian crossing’s layout. It’s a square-shaped crossing with a long diagonal line in the middle. All street corners turn red at the same time.

That’s why lots of people cross at the same time. Criss-cross, back and forth, cross however you want. It felt like a dream seeing this place for the first time. I haven’t seen that many people cross a street in my life. Cheers! First beer in Japan! This is where we had a snack.

It’s like a teppanyaki style restaurant. Someone cooks the food in front of you. I forgot what we ordered but it had cod roes in it. It also has cabbage and a batter, basically it’s like an Okonomiyaki. – Did you party last night? – No. -Why not? – Because yesterday, I have school. Oh…

Our cook was fluent in English because she was studying western languages in college. It was nice to talk and understand locals. On our way home, we don’t have anything to do anymore we set a challenge for us just to make cycling more exciting. We have to get home without checking Google maps.

We’ll be relying on what we see. We got home late because we got sidetracked on a lot of interesting alleys Jilson got a ticket for illegal parking. He went home early to climb the Tokyo Skytree. He parked his bike somewhere and when he came back, his bike had a warning ticket on it.

A unique souvenir before his flight back to Manila. On the following day, we sent Jilson on his flight back to Manila. He needs to be back home for his birthday. – Let’s go Gaijins! – My treat when we meet in Manila. We helped him carry his stuff from our airbnb to the station.

Our house to Oshiage Skytree station was only 300 meters. Buy we still got tired from carrying his bike and all his stuff. How do we do this when it’s our time to go home? This is the farthest we can go. Just before the turnstile. Bye!

In Manila, he told us everything was a hassle because of his stuff. He even caused an inconvenience to a group of students inside the train. That ends our episode for today. Hope you enjoyed a chill bike ride here in Tokyo.

Tune in again next week because we still have new episodes every Monday, 7PM. Command your friends to subscribe to increase our numbers. Click the notification bell for updates on new uploads. Like and share this video to tap Youtube’s algorithm.

And lastly, feel free to leave comments or suggestions and we’ll try to reply to all of it, Next episode, we’ll stop by at Brotures Harajuku. A fixed gear bike store here in Tokyo. And we’ll reminisce our childhoods by going on a fieldtrip in MKS factory.

We’re in Omoide Yokocho and we’re trying hard to get drunk. For today’s video, we will visit a factory. – How come you know how to speak Filipino? – It’s because I want a Filipina girlfriend!
