Otaru is a charming place and one of the most visited destinations in Hokkaido. I enjoyed strolling especially the street along the picturesque Otaru Canal. The snow-covered streets and row of old buildings and warehouses along the canal make an enchanting winter scene. Nearby, there are several cute cafes, restaurants, and souvenirs shops that are worth exploring. Because of time constraint I wasn’t able to see much of the shops that line the famous Sakaimachi Street and some museums. In this video, I want to share with you a glimpse of Otaru’s charm and why I think it’s worth visiting multiple times.
