Hey let me show you the highlights of Day 7 as we will be crossing the sea from Hokkaido to Tohoku region today packed with attractions and food as usual subscribe and turn on the notification bell to follow my full itinerary for the whole of Hokkaido Tohoku and Kanto region after onsen

We had the freshest seafood from the morning market I have to say this is the biggest breakfast we had so far we got raw crunchy squid live oysters as big as our palm the freshest uni with no fishy taste at all gigantic Hokkaido scallops cook in butter and of course

How can we visit Hokkaido without trying the sweet and juicy king crab so good 10 out of 10 for every item for dessert we had Japanese rock melon I dare say Japan has the best melon in the world next we headed to the world famous star-shaped park called Goryokaku

Definitely worth taking the local tram there the park is really big you get to see wisteria the native Japanese trees and the palace in the centre of the park but 10 out of 10 recommended to head up to the tower for a bird’s eye view of the star-shaped fort and another

360 degrees view of the sea such amazing landscaping and history take the local train from Hakodate to Shin-Hakodate Station yes there is difference so be careful the famous green Shinkansen will be leaving Hokkaido now by the tunnel under the sea to get to the main island today we will be staying at Aomori

So our food and activities will only be in the city full itinerary in the description below the most famous food spot here is Osanai Shokudo you will see many people from morning to night queuing for some delicious local scallops best cheap eats here 10 out of 10 next visit the triangle-shaped Aomori Tourist

Information Centre to know more about the region the No. 1 attraction here is Nebuta Museum home to the biggest exhibition of parade floats or what I call super massive lanterns this is one of the most interesting things to see in Japan every single float is handmade with wood wires, lights paper and glue

Sweat and blood hand painted by generational masters Aomori is also famous for apples so we grabbed some apple snack apple cider and apple pie at A-Factory a few blocks away is Ajino Sapporo Oonishi famous for their miso milk ramen watching them made my ramen bowl from scratch is mesmerizing 10 out of 10

Recommending this fulfilling bowl of regional ramen for dinner we had a delicious unagi or eel rice at Kawayoshi many restaurants in smaller town like this require pre-booking or require you to speak Japanese to dine in but this friendly place is the exception regardless we enjoyed Aomori so much

There is always something to see and experience no matter where you are however big or however small the place is another activity packed day so we are going to take a slow on day 8 see you tomorrow
