Take the gondola and lift to the top of the mountain and watch people enjoying backcountry skiing.
And then back to the bottom again. Enjoy the real Nozawa Onsen Ski Resort.

The longest run is 10,000m! 100% natural snow, location, and history are all top level in Japan!
After skiing or snowboarding, you can enjoy strolling around the hot spring resort and visiting the outside hot springs.
A kids’ park is also available for families.
The total area of slopes and courses is 297 hectares (about 63 times the size of Tokyo Dome).

Courses

There are 46 courses with a wide variety of terrain. There is a balance of 40% beginner courses, 30% intermediate courses, and 30% advanced courses. The courses can be enjoyed by beginners and advanced skiers alike. Because of the area’s heavy snowfall, the “Yamabiko Slope” near the top of the mountain offers the best powder snow after a snowfall.
The Yamabiko slope also offers a spectacular view of the Sea of Japan, which is a must-see when the weather is fine. The main slope, “Hikage Slope,” is easily accessible from the hot spring resort area via a moving walkway called “You Road.
The “Paradise Slope,” which is gentle and has good visibility, is recommended for families, and is equipped with the 4-seater Paradise Four Lift.
For advanced skiers, there is the “Schneider Course,” a super hard course with a height difference of 375 meters and a maximum slope of 32 degrees, the “Challenge 39° Kabe,” the largest slope in Nozawa Onsen Ski Resort with a slope of 39 degrees, and the “Utopia Slope,” a steep and wide bumpy slope for families, beginners and advanced skiers alike.
The Nagasaka gondola has been renewed, and the cabin is equipped with leather seats with high cushioning for a comfortable and luxurious ride in the air.
The gondola is also equipped with Japan’s first ventilation system, allowing outside air to enter the cabin and change the air in a short period of time.

Kids

The hotel offers a ski school, day care center, and kids’ park.

Facility Information

One of the best parts of Nozawa Onsen Ski Resort is the hot spring resort. The 13 “out-spa” hot springs with 100% natural hot spring water not only relieve the fatigue of skiers and snowboarders, but also attract hot spring fans from all over the country.
To access Nozawa Onsen Ski Resort by car from Tokyo, take the Kan-Etsu Expressway, then the Joshin-etsu Expressway, and get off at the Toyota-Iiyama Interchange, and drive about 20 km on Route 117. By train, take the Hokuriku Shinkansen from Tokyo Station to Iiyama Station, transfer to a direct bus within the village, and board a direct bus within Nozawaonsen-mura to the Nozawa Onsen ski resort, which takes about 40 minutes.
