As another Filipino, I kinda understand how *they* developed this mentality. Factions and being parasocial are pretty big here and people here are prone to attach their selves to these idols. So they take even the tiniest of criticisms towards their idols as a personal attack to themselves and will mob you in social media, and on occasion even irl. And this is regardless of age, its just that the older ones are less violent but more vocal.
