Today, we’re embarking on a 2-day cruise in the Nippon Maru’s suite room! Merry Christmas on board. Enjoy your Santa Cruise journey. This time, our cruise on the Nippon Maru is from Kobe to Nagoya! I decided to board this time after finding out that a 1-night, 2-day trip on the Nippon Maru is affordable.

We depart from Kobe at 17:00 and will arrive in Nagoya at 9:00 tomorrow. The boarding pass will be mailed to your home in advance. After completing the procedures, you will receive a ship schedule and a card key. This time, we went all out and chose a suite room.

It seems we can board earlier by prioritizing suite rooms. This cruise is a Santa Cruise. The ship is adorned in Christmas decorations, and it’s adorable!! Ah! Santa and reindeer!! Time for a photo shoot. Our room this time is the Vista Suite Room on the 6th floor. This time, I’m boarding with my sister.

Wowww!!! It’s spacious!!! The room is 37㎡~46㎡ with a balcony. Opposite the bed is a large TV. And there’s even today’s newspaper. Suite rooms come with a dedicated butler. We decided to drink the welcome champagne at dinner. Instead of champagne, we opted for fresh juice. Pear and carrot juice.

The rich pear is very delicious! And there was some mysterious food on the table. It’s not sweets. I don’t know what it is, but it’s delicious. Next to the bed is a large table. A coffee maker that can make 8 cups. And drinks in the fridge do not require an additional charge.

Joyful! Delighted! There’s a walk-in closet in the room. It’s bigger than the closet at my house. Inside the closet are bathrobes. There are no pajamas, so please bring your own. It’s a small private room, so it somehow feels reassuring. There’s a safe for storing jewelry and wallets.

There’s even a special case for jewelry. I only have my wallet and camera to put in it. You can only adjust the temperature of the air conditioning. The balcony I was most looking forward to this time!!! You can have a panoramic view of the city of Kobe!!

Many seagulls are flocking to the ferry. Are they feeding them? Looks fun. After the pre-departure evacuation drill, it’s time for the departure ceremony. Hot Calpis and champagne are all-you-can-drink! I want champagne because it’s a special occasion. It’s very delicious. This time, the Nippon Maru’s exclusive band is on board.

They’re livening up the departure mood!! 17:00 Departure from Kobe Port. A 16-hour short cruise begins. Happy Merry Christmas. The schedule for a short cruise is very tight. Let’s check the upcoming schedule. Dinner one hour after leaving Kobe, then a horse race, cocktail party, night concert… It seems impossible to attend everything.

I like participating in various activities, but it’s also nice to relax in the room or admire the ship’s decorations. I’ll skip the horse race this time… Dinner time is approaching. Last time we dined in the main dining “Mizuki”, but this time we’ll eat in the Ocean Dining “Kasuga”. So many staff members!!!

According to the official site, about 230 crew members are on board. Most of the crew are Japanese or Filipino. We were the first to arrive at the restaurant and were seated at the very back! Drink menu. All drinks listed are free. Yay! Since it’s a Santa Cruise, dinner is Christmas-themed.

We decided to have the welcome champagne we planned to drink in our room served at dinner. It’s a precious experience I may never have again in my life. Appetizer: Crab and avocado rémoulade, cold buri with radish, ballotine. It looks like a Christmas tree and is very beautiful.

The taste also shows a commitment to quality ingredients. Caviar on cucumber!! Luxurious. Second: Cod and shirako bluette. Creamy and the sauce is very delicious!! The texture of the fish is fluffy. Fish: Lobster and ebi-imo mille-feuille. All of them are flavors I’m tasting for the first time. Delicious. Palate cleanser: Mandarin sorbet.

The sherbet has a rich flavor and is delicious!! Meat: Fillet of beef persillade. Perfect doneness!!! It’s so tender and delicious! It’s so good I could eat it every day and never get tired of it. Meat not listed on the menu arrived. Yay!! Could this be a secret special menu?

As someone who loves meat, this is a happy surprise for me! This meat is fattier than the previous one and very delicious. Dessert: Chocolate mousse, raspberry. An assortment set where you can enjoy my favorite cakes and fruits. Makes you want coffee. Delicious! After a delicious meal, we returned to our room.

Time for a little rest in the room. The room comes with tea bags of black tea and green tea. Ice and hot water are already prepared. You can feel the attention to detail everywhere. After some thought, I went with green tea. It’s nice that there’s a teapot.

Even the tissues feel different than usual. They’re very smooth to the touch. I wonder which brand they are? A luxurious and heavy table clock. And then, I found a mysterious black object. What could be inside? I see! It was a pair of binoculars! It’s time for the cocktail party!

Showing the special card for suite rooms gets you guided to special seats on the second floor. The party seems to have already started. I chose a drink called Scarlet Night, which has a strong alcohol content. You can really feel the strong alcohol. Feeling a bit hungry, we headed to the Lido Terrace.

At Lido Terrace, you can have GODIVA chocolixir and snacks. We decided to go for takeaway this time. Normally unaffordable GODIVA is all-you-can-drink on the Nippon Maru. For snacks, there are hamburgers and hot dogs. Hmm. Both look delicious, so I ordered both! I ordered a small size chocolixir.

It’s filled with plenty of whipped cream and chocolate. Cold and delicious! I wish I could drink it every day… Since we booked a suite room, we want to spend as much time in it as possible. So, back to the room for a midnight snack! Might as well drink some beer.

Glasses are always available in the room. The coasters with Nippon Maru designs are cute. When searching for the most affordable suite room on a cruise, I stumbled upon the Vista Suite of the Nippon Maru. Since we board today and disembark tomorrow morning, it’s fleeting.

It feels very short, but the day is filled with rich experiences. Yes. A beautiful 1:1. Feeling this might be my last time on the Nippon Maru due to financial reasons, I’ll eat as much as I can. First up, Nippon Maru’s special hot dog! Eat it with the provided ketchup and mustard.

The flavor is rich and delicious! The hot dog’s size is small, perfect for when you’re slightly hungry. Next is the hamburger. This one is also a bit small in size. Both the hot dog and hamburger are served hot and fresh. Simple in taste and delicious!! Happiness!

The bath in the suite room is very spacious. Surprisingly, the bathtub comes with a bubble bath. Right beside it is the shower room. The amenities are also comprehensive. Bath salts for the bath and environmentally friendly amenities are provided. Normally plastic parts are made of bamboo.

They feel nice to touch, and the appearance adds a sense of luxury. It’s too good, so I want to take it home. You can get basic cosmetics by calling the butler. I received all three types. The hot water automatically stops after some time. And when you press a button, the bubble bath starts!

Wow!!! Fun!!! I wish we had a bubble bath at home… The suite room comes with its own bathrobes. And the hair dryer is the trendy Rifa! It looks really cool. Before I knew it, it was already dark outside. We decided to have breakfast through room service tomorrow.

Room service comes at no extra charge in the suite room. Breakfast orders are made using the order form on the table. I don’t want to leave this room if possible. We check the delivery times and what we want to eat for breakfast tomorrow. Hanging the order form on the door completes the order!

Looking forward to tomorrow. I don’t want to go to sleep, but I will. The bed was neatly made after dinner. The flowers that were on the bed at first turned out to be blankets. Ah~ we arrive in Nagoya tomorrow.

I don’t want to sleep, but the pillow and bed are so fluffy, I’ll probably fall asleep quickly. Once in bed, I instantly feel very sleepy. Good night, everyone… Good morning, everyone! A beautiful sunrise starts the day. I’ll spend the remaining time without leaving my room until we dock.

There are many types of coffee. I’ll make coffee with the special coffee maker. Huh. The coffee isn’t coming out. There was a manual, thankfully. Oh! The smell of coffee is great! The smell of coffee makes it feel like morning. Breakfast was delivered at the time we specified. For both my sister and me.

My sister’s breakfast is omelets, salad, and yogurt. I have a Japanese set meal. And salad and a fruit platter. You can change rice to porridge, so I tried porridge. A very healthy breakfast. Despite eating a lot yesterday, it feels reset in the morning. The drink is lemon tea.

Both the fruits and salad were very delicious. We’re approaching Nagoya Port. We go under the highway bridge. Finally, we can see Nagoya Port. Hm? What’s that?? It’s Santa Claus on roller skates!! And he’s really good at roller skating!!! The Nippon Maru arrived at Nagoya Port on schedule.

People in wheelchairs and those in suite rooms disembark first. It was a short time, but thank you for your care. Maybe again someday… definitely. I never knew such a wonderful way to spend Christmas existed. Where shall we go next? Thank you for watching till the end.

  1. Increible y lujoso viaje, simplemente me ha encantado todo. Cantando "Feliz navidad" en español… en fin este video lo tiene todo.

  2. 7:04 OMG they’re singing Feliz Navidad. “i wanna wish you a merry Christmas from the bottom of my heart!” I live in SoCal where there’s a large Mexican population and in preschool we sang “Feliz Navidad”. I still remember that 28 years later. I am Japanese, German, Russian and Chinese and grew up with Mexican friends so I never got to experience Asian or White Christmas traditions. But I did get to make tamales with friends!

  3. Great video, I’m loving the suite looks like a expensive hotel room. I would like to ride on a ship with a suite like that. Just beautiful

  4. anyone else getting eye strain from the Micro subtitles or is it just my computer. I have changed my settings on my computer with out it making a difference.

  6. How is less than 24 hours a 2 day 1 night cruise???😮😮 I call that 1 night 0 days.
Totally not worth the price but glad you had a good time😊

  7. The little finger foods in the cabin are an "amuse". They're meant as little tiny one or two bite snacks that won't make you too full to actually eat a full meal, and are often served before dinner at fancy restaurants.

  9. German translations are sometimes rather amusing. According to the translation it was a flying ship ^^ Departure can mean in german to fly to your destination ^^

  21. Great trip. Yeah, 16 hours on a cruise is definitely short, feels like taking overnight ferry from Osaka to Shibushi. And yeah it's expensive too. But overall, great experience onboard. Bit curious, after disembarking passenger at Nagoya, where is the next sailing of this cruise?
