Hello everyone. This time we will take a walk around Kyoto Station. This is the Karasuma Exit on the north side of the station. This time, I’m going to take a walk around Kyoto Station and the station building, and then walk to the Hachijo Exit on the south side.

First, take the escalator to the grand staircase. You can enjoy shopping and eating at Kyoto Station, but it’s also fun to take a walk. This is the grand staircase. The illumination in the evening is beautiful. This floor can be moved laterally. There is also a rest area here.

You can also see the Shinkansen platform. I came to the plaza on the east side. The reflection on the wall makes it look like there are two Kyoto Towers. This is East Plaza. It is also lit up at night. Go up the escalator and head towards the “air route”.

This is the aerial route. It’s on the 10th floor of the station building. It is also lit up at night. It’s a spectacular view overlooking the city. The exit connects to the “Kyoto Ramen Koji” floor. Go outside again. Let’s go up to the roof.

This is the view from the south side of the station. You can also see the five-storied pagoda of Toji Temple. It’s a very beautifully shaped building. Now, go down the station building and head for the Hachijo Exit on the south side of the station.

This is the floor with the west exit ticket gate. I would like to walk to the south side through the North-South Free Passage. This is the west exit ticket gate for the JR line. There are also souvenir shops around here.

When you go down the stairs, you will find the ticket gate for the Shinkansen. The Kintetsu Line platform is here, and the Shinkansen platform is across the street. I arrived at Hachijo Exit. This walk is almost over. Thank you for watching until the end. Have a nice trip everyone.

  2. 何度も言います、歴史の街京都に、この駅を設計した人、天才です素晴らしい、お疲れ様😊

  3. The Kyoto Station Building was completed in 1997. The designer is one of the representative architects of Japan, Hiroshi Hara. He also planned Umeda Sky-Buiding in Osaka. The ultra-modern building goes quite well with the historic city of Kyoto.

Not only can you enjoy various shopping & foods, but you can see the magnificent scenery from the top of the building 💛.
