Are you planning a trip to Osaka if so you’ve probably seen the Osaka aquarium kukan listed as one of the top places to visit it’s frequently listed at the top of those lists alongside Heavy Hitters like the infamous do Buri and Universal Studios Japan why is that you ask well

Today I’m going to show you what it’s like at one of Japan’s largest aquariums and help you answer the question is it worth a visit let’s dive in Osaka aquarium is home to 30,000 creatures and 600 species including the popular whale sharks manta ray jellyfish and tiger sharks the aquarium let to experience

The Wonder of the Pacific Rim and the Aquatic animals that live there by recreating the natural environment of their habitats it is one of the largest aquariums in the world and one of Osaka’s Premier destinations because of its large vibrant and Lively tanks it makes for fun half day out in

Osaka the Osaka aquarium is located in the port area by the Osaka Bay it sits next to the Legoland Discovery Center Osaka and is also close to where Universal Studios Japan is located you can get to the aquarium in 30 minutes easily by train from either either Shin Osaka Jr Osaka or Namba station because of how popular the aquarium is I recommend going earlier in

The day to avoid the crowds or if you go after 5:00 p.m. there’s a special night viewing Experience tickets are timed entry and I highly recommend you purchase them prior to arriving at the aquarium this way you can ensure you get your preferred time slot you can either purchase tickets directly from the

Aquarium’s website where you will need need to make an account to pay for the ticket or you can purchase tickets from cluke which I’ll leave a link to in the description box below once you arrive at the aquarium you can either show a printed copy of the tickets or the QR

To different circumstances the Osaka aquarium is a huge space known for its innovative habitats and presentations to show and learn more about the creatures of the Pacific visitors can listen to stories of marine animal behaviors by renting audio guides from the service counter at the aquarium the rental fee is $800 Yen and

It is available in six languages Japanese English Chinese Korean French and Thai another learning experience available is the potential to see the animals getting fed during these feeding sessions you can see the animals engage in training sessions designed to keep them healthy and stimulated the main and in my opinion

Best part of the aquarium is the humongous Central tank which measures 34 M across and 9 M deep you can view the tank from various angles on different floors it is where the famous whale sharks are located alongside other amazing creatures like the spin tail double Rays hammerhead sharks school of

Fish and more seeing all the amazing creatures up close and personal and coexisting next to each other was absolutely breathtaking to see however if we’re going to consider whether the Osaka aquarium is worth a visit we can’t not talk about whether or not it’s ethical to visit an aquarium

This aquarium was built for entertainment purposes however the Osaka aquarium does its best to create environments that are as natural and comfortable as possible for the animals that live there and its tanks are known for their size many aquariums like the kukon fund or participate in collaborative research

Programs to learn more about marine life and the environment aquariums are also used for conservation efforts through education and connecting Society with nature the hope is to get people to care about the beauty and fragility of nature our environment and the other beings that inhabit it so is the Osaka aquarium

Kyokan worth a visit that’s up to you for me it was worth it it reinvigorated my love for marine life and made for a really fun unique activity during our time in Osaka I hope this video gave you insight into what it’s like at the aquarium to help you decide whether it’s worth

  1. I went here back in 2019 and it was the biggest and best Aquarium that I went to. My trip in Osaka, Kyoto, Tokyo and Yokohama was fun. I want to visit Japan again and head to Sapporo.

  2. The last time I visited Osaka, it was very rushed as I wanted to visit the aquarium but didn't get the opportunity as I went on a whirlwind tour of Kobe, Takayama, Sendai. Next time soon it's going to be on my list of things to see as well as Hokkaido and Shiogama. Thanks for the creating entertaining videos once again. As always, keep up your awesomeness.
