Today we’re in the biggest snow Festival in Japan with a bunch of tourists and it’s the perfect opportunity to ask them what is their budget for this trip where are you guys from Texas Texas are you traveling here uh yeah we’re on vacation how long is your stay about two

Weeks two weeks where have you been so far we’ve been to a bunch of places um so this is one of the stops support was one of our stops on here we went to shabuya we went to Harajuku we went to a lot of places like around the Tokyo yeah

Around Tokyo mainly and so we got um up here to hokido yesterday night yeah are you guys going to see more places besides sub um I’m not quite sure yet honestly like we’re mainly here just like see the snow Festival like the Ice Festival for right now but we haven’t

Decided yet cuz we go back to uh Tokyo tomorrow what is your budget for this trip plus the flight probably like around 3,000 like USD for the both of you probably each so do you guys stay in hotels or hostels and what what about the food do you guys

Like eat Convenient Food or you going out kind of like fancy or uh kind of a combination as far as the food so like if we just want like a little like something for breakfast or like a snack like we St the comini um but we have

Been going like out to like various places that we just see on the street um and then like for the lodging uh we’ve been in Airbnb like in Tokyo but up here we’re in a hotel but it’s it’s actually a fairly large hotel room I was

Surprised and so it kind of feels more like an Airbnb how’s it going my friend good it’s going good where are you from I’m from the Netherlands NE well no wonder you’re way you’re way taller than me are you traveling here uh uh yes I’m traveling to Hokkaido now but I study in

Sandai for a half a year so when did you arrive in ja uh in Japan yeah uh uh September last year so this is the final month of my trip here of my study period I see would you come back uh probably yes yes for maybe living here or

Traveling Oh living here may be difficult because the work environment sounds so harsh um but travel definitely wel come back I see now that you’ve been here for like a little while if you’re going to come back here for a travel what would be your budget and for how

Long would you come here flight included flight included okay flight is is expensive maybe my budget would be if I stay two weeks or three weeks maybe 2,000 m i see would you you go for a hostel a hotel like fancy food or Convenient Food H I think the food in

Japan is very cheap so I would go for the normal price 500 yen lunch and not not super expensive okay and maybe hostle is fine by me or hotel or even the the the bunker beds the capsu hotels I use that it’s it’s okay it’s pretty good how are you guys doing awesome

We’re tired you’re tired are you cold well we have many layers so I I think I’m feeling toasty actually yeah we go we got the gloves I see where are you guys from we’re coming from Hong Kong but originally he’s from Scotland I’m from Colombia oh I see that’s pretty

Cool are you a couple yes yes we’re married together for more than a decade I guess how long is you travel here in Japan 10 days 10 days main question is what is your budget for 10 days who knows she she booked it she doesn’t I’m not allowed to know

Well look coming to Japan and sapor especially during Lunar New Year is very expensive right and it depends on on the things you want to do so if you book a nice hotel with the onset and everything the budget goes higher and did you do

That yes we did I don’t want to know he doesn’t want yeah I don’t tell me when this is going to happen so it was quite a high budget that’s what yes but I’ve come to Hong I’ve come to Japan before for a week let’s say and I’ve said uh I would say

That a regular budget without like a budget to enjoy doing all the activities and attractions and all of that and trains and moving around and all of that $1,000 staying in places like um a dorms $1,000 per week was what I us yes so that would be like a general

Budget for a week staying in a cheap hotel but doing all the activities and eating well and all of that as well as far as eating fancy food or just like decent restaurants or decent restaurants I mean not street food all the time but decent food you know go to a nice Ramen

Place go to a nice sushi place not very pricey but nice and decent and yeah buget friendly I would say yes uh what about flight included how much well that is very relative to be honest coming from yes it is very relative because sometimes I mean I’ve my last

Trip I’ve met a couple who was flying from Canada and their flight was $500 return and it was surprising because coming from Hong Kong even though it’s only 4 hours it was actually very similar to that price really that’s crazy 500 from Canada to here yes I know

I mean know of course it was a deal you’re not flying in a popular day you’re not flying in school holidays Lunar New Year wasn’t a big thing in Canada you know so I mean it it’s all very relative it depends on where you’re coming from well thank you guys very

Much I appreciate that that’s all right I’m glad I find out the budget for this holiday have a good day thank you man hopefully it was not too expensive no no not that much I mean it’s sensible though how do you enjoy the festival so

Far yeah it’s cool we got here maybe uh 15 minutes ago and went around the um the snow uh statue things are you traveling here yeah uh we were just in neso skiing for the U for two days where are you from uh from England but currently living in Australia how long

Is your trip here to Japan we’re here for 10 days what is your budget for this trip um I plus the FL the flight maybe $1,400 there and that and and all the rest all the rest maybe $2,000 Australian dollars maybe a little bit less do you think it’s enough yeah I

Think that’s enough it’s it’s not too expensive in well thank you very much I appreciate that thank you very much nice to meet you nice to meet you too why you want to hug yeah of course oh we H how’s it going it’s going good yeah where are you from from Scotland from

Scotland yeah oh man that’s awesome where abouts um like an hour from Glasgow I’m staying though in hako for six months I’m ski instructing here oh I see so working holiday or yeah yeah yeah Ino yeah Ino ah Village lots of foreigners yeah lots of foreigners very

Good is it the best place for skiing in Japan oh 100% the powder is like no other it’s so good if you would come here to travel mm what would be your budget your Visa is over you want to come back for I don’t

Know as much as you want as much as you want for how long would you come back here oh I definitely travel for at least a couple of months there’s so much here to explore as well what would be your budget if you would come here on the

Tourist visa plus the flight from Scotland plus the flight okay well the flight alone is already like 700 L at least cuz it’s free flights but for a couple of months I would at least say like maybe like 2,000 I would say is like good because

Uh you need to book your hostels and like your accomodation as well so you definitely go for hosts and not like hotels or I I like the vibe of hostels 100% like you get to meet so many other different people as well young young people enjoying life exactly what about

The food whenever I don’t know why whenever I’m thinking of a person that stays in the hostel I’m thinking of mostly conven food would you go would you go for that or fcy restaurants or just like isak’s I think I eat a lot of fast food which is probably quite bad um

But I still try to like cook stuff at hostels cuz normally you have like a katchen area as well and so like you can always grab stuff from 7-Eleven yeah and then cook in the hostel but it’s good to like treat yourself as well like going

Out to restaurants how do you enjoy the festival so far it’s really really good first time ever seeing snow cuz I’m I’m originally from uh Jamaica born in Florida but originally from Jamaica are you not like super freezing right now it’s really cold but uh I actually live

In gefu Japan since when uh it’s been about 6 months now so I’ve been teaching English here did you visit Japan before no first time yeah if you would come here for a trip what would be your budget if it’s a mud strip I would say

How long would you come back here for H for me I love Japan so um I would come back for at least six months if if opportunity um but um if I were to do like a regular two week or a month trip I would say about 3,000 4,000 included

The flight uh included the flight I would say about 5,000 USD it depends would you stay stay in hotels Airbnb or like hostels um I really like hotels so um I think that’s the reason why my uh budget really high um I like the hotels um especially with the different

Types of breakfast and different amenities that comes with it what about the food would you go you know kind of fancy or regular in between or Convenient Food I’m a little bit of all so that’s why um my budget kind of scatters um can eat off of kid be food for

About half the time um so it’s not that really bad for me but I know I would like uh High uh fancy uh dealers from time to time how is this whole experience so far in Japan so far uh my whole experience in Japan is really really good um it’s a

Big culture shot compared to America so um what was the most shocking thing the most shocking thing thus far is just everyday life and how they operate um from taking the uh trains to um doing normal uh everyday things like baking is really really different than

You mean trains just like stand in the line before you enter the stand in the lines um actually being on the trains um how it’s really not that much noise on different trains um how you carry yourself in different um stores so those did you have like an

Experience where you kind of like quotequote it up where you were too loud or I don’t know whatever it is um no I actually looked around I’m very aware of my surroundings I’m like uh okay I guess I can’t be out here so ah okay I see so so it’s just a lot

Of uh you live and you learn and watch different things well thank you very much I appreciate that by the way I love your your style and your misses you guys look so cool I I look like a homeless guy thank you I appreciate that so if you’re planning a

Trip to Japan hopefully this video helped you to understand what more or less should be your budget when you’re coming here and if you already been to Japan comment down below how much did you spend and how long did you stay and where did you come from maybe it’s going

To help some people stay safe
