I went to Peace Memorial Park while I was home. I always try to go to the park and just walk absorb history and visitors’ reactions.

Atomic Bomb Dome Originally it was the Hiroshima Prefectural Industrial Promotion Hall. The ruin of the hall is a memorial to the over 140,000 people who were killed in the atomic bombing of Hiroshima in 1945. (Approximately 350,000 population) It is permanently kept in a state of arrested ruin as reminder of the destructive effects of nuclear warfare.

I used to come through here before going to work everyday. It’s good to see things once again. Peace Flame The Eternal Flame never disappears in rain or wind.

The Peace Flame is another monument to the victims of the bomb that destroyed Hiroshima, but it has an additional symbolic purpose. The flame has burned continuously since it was lit in 1964, and it will remain lit until all nuclear bombs on the planet are destroyed and the planet is free from threat of nuclear annihilation.

It is a monument for peace to commemorate Sadako Sausalito and the thousands of child victims of the atomic bombing of Hiroshima. I used to come here like them when I was child. This bridge is T-shaped three-way bridge. The Enola Gay targeted the bridge, releasing the bomb once it was within its sights.

Temperatures near the hypocenter reached 3,000 to 4,000 degrees Celsius. (5,432 to 7,232 degrees Fahrenheit) A lot of survivors seek water to relief from the intense heat. Full of dead bodies in this river.

Paper Crane Sadako Sasaki, who died of an atomic bomb disease. Shortly before she passed, she had a vision to create a thousand cranes. Japanese tradition says that if one creates thousands cranes, they are granted one wish. Today they are known as a symbol of peace.

Many people have tears in their eyes as they feel the impact of history but I hope as many people as possible to come to visit. The total devastation of Hiroshima should always be remembered. “Those that fail to Learn from history are doing to repeat it.“ – Sir Winston Churchill
