We arrived at Namba Station Heading towards our Airbnb located in Doutonbori We’ve arrived! Nice and cozy, great location too Feeling a bit hungry after the long flight, going to get some late night meal Dotonbori is one of the top three nightlife destinations in Japan

It has a very vibrant atmosphere and street food scene I ordered a small Gyudon with cheese, only costs ¥530! Arriving at the iconic Glico Running Man Trying out Japanese vending machine for the first time Picked up this coffee drink, it tastes quite good

Dotonbori serves up Osaka’s best with iconic Takoyaki, savory Okonomiyaki, and crispy Kushikatsu in every corner We’ve decided to get some Okonomiyaki for lunch Dodged the queue by arriving 15 min prior to the opening Luckily we got a countertop seat so we can see the chef prepare Okonomiyaki Was very delicious and filling

Grabbed some Takoyaki for a snack We arrived at Umeda station to take a train to Kobe for the afternoon Only takes about 30 min to get to Kobe by train There’s a free observatory close to the station From the southern view we can see the Port Island Northern view

There are so many kinds of delicious Chinese foods here We are going to eat Kobe beef here This restaurant was recommended by a friend Had to make a booking one month in advance to secure a slot Entree Also comes with soup and salad Chef showing us the main course (for 2 people)

The whole course costs ¥12,000 per person Chef also has a great sense of humour 🙂 So juicy and tender, literally melts in your mouth And finally the dessert We wandered around Kobe after dinner Heading back to Osaka We are trying the famous Cremia ice cream

It has a very rich and creamy texture compare to regular ice cream serves We are going up the Umeda Sky Building, the tallest building in Osaka From the northern view you can see Shin-Osaka region and Yodo river The floor here also glitters

We arrive at Shinsekai, famous for its retro vibe as well as Kushikatsu (Japanese deep fried skewers) They have some strange food here This restaurant serves sumo sized meals In front is the Tsutenkaku Tower, with an abundant of Kushikatsu restaurants around We decided to try out some of these famous skewers

We went for Combo A and C It has a whole range of meat, seafood and vegetable selections I think we ordered a bit too much… Wanted to take a look inside the market but unfortunately most shops are closed today

Shinsekai is also renowned for their gaming parlours where you can try your hand at shooting air guns and arrows Went to Tenoji Park to have a stroll around in the afternoon We came to Shin-Osaka at night We are here to out a ramen shop specializing in sea bream ramen

This looks amazing, and has a very unique flavour Pretty quite that night, perhaps due to the rain outside Heading back to Doutonbori for some more photos Having a rainy stroll in Dotonbori We are heading towards Osaka Castle today It’s a famous historic landmark in Japan built in 16th century

Inside the castle it’s a museum showcasing samurai history and artefacts We climbed to the top floor of the castle Bought a fortune slip to test my luck Scored a ‘Great Blessing’ fortune 🙂 There are still some autumn leaves hanging on before winter fully sets in Decided to eat some curry before leaving Osaka

There are so many customizable options Most notably you can adjust the spiciness levels, all the way up to level 20! I ordered a katsu chicken and pork curry with level 5 spiciness It wasn’t too spicy for me, maybe I’ll try level 10 next time Heading to Kyoto in the afternoon
