Odori site is filled with snow sculptures the susukino site is filled with ice sculptures and the sudom site is filled with slides and other attractions perfect for kids the sudom site is far from Central sapora so I only went for the oori and susukino sites in today’s video I’m going to show

You my day at the snow Festival both by day and by night if you want an in-depth video on things to eat in Hokkaido things to do in saporo hakodate and the Fano area make sure you watch the previous series I made on hokido links are in the description box all right

Let’s start from the odor site where you can see numerous snow sculpures oh by the way I’m going to be making a separate video on things I eat in Hokkaido for the two days so so make sure you watch that video as well there a cat sculpture this one

Isimi my heart well my feelings yes that’s how I feel right now oh that one’s really cool everyone’s taking photos of it so that’s showing the a castle it doesn’t say which Castle but it’s like a Japanese castle that’s so cool and then I see some Morey statues over there

Wow and the title of this is Bridge To The Future oh chwa it’s a very popular character in Japan everyone’s taking photos it’s so awkward to walk around that’s one very chubby cat not cat Dog guys it’s a Snorlax it’s so cute look at his chubby tummy Diglett in English I think so cute oh my God I have so so much snow p up it’s actually not too bad though it’s not too oh my God there’s so much on my hair as Well [Applause] [Applause] [Applause] [Applause] Oh my god there are so many food stores but I just literally had like a massive bowl of soup curry so I’m very full and I’m not feeling like anything but I don’t know I’m tempted for the maybe like the oh my face is so numb I’m tempted for like a chocolate strawberry

Or banana or like marshmallows they look good here we are at one of the largest if not the largest object of the sapora snow festival and it is the golden camui sculptures I mean seriously look at all the details the eyes the scuff and like the background the details are just

Amazing can’t believe it’s made from Snow oh my god there are literally hundreds of snowman here oh my God it’s so cute saor snow Festival official shop oh my God you see that like bald bird it’s called shimay nide it’s like a really popular like character in hokido they only live in hokido it’s like a

Type of bird they are also sculptures for advertisement of different companies that medicine is good for your Stomach wow you guys I found noin from Germany I’ve actually been to the real one in Germany like quite a few years Ago oh my god there are so many sculptures wow look how red my nose Is the odor site has a length of 1.5 km you will be walking around a lot in the cold weather so make sure that you have comfortable and warm shoes on I was very tired after going around the odori site so because it’s getting darker and it’s

Getting super cold I got myself a cup of amazaki I did make a video quite a few years ago explaining what amazaki is so make sure you check that video out but anyway let’s have this warm looking Ami oh my god wow it’s like so sweet and

So warm and it warms up your soul on a cold day and saporo at night some of the objects light up during the day it was cute but at night it was magical there were a lot more people at Night oh these are so pretty at night but at the same time some of them have eyes and they are kind of um scary but it’s very nice very Photogenic oh Nice and then let’s move on to the susukino site where the place is filled with ice sculptures be careful not to trip on ice like I did oh this is real ice oh my God wow this whole area is filled with ice sculptures wow these are Amazing I must say some sculptures are great but some sculptures like these um this is an advertisement for the stomach medicine again that we saw earlier but I feel like this could have done better look at [Applause] That Yeah oh my God it’s so [Applause] [Applause] [Applause] Heavy D donkey donkey hot so cute all right guys thank you very very much for watching I am at the new chos the airport right now and I am going to go on the flight back to Tokyo yeah so that’s it for the video today I hope you

  1. Sarah

  2. The light snowfall was so nice to see. Also, the temperatures didn’t seem that cold if you dressed appropriately. Double digit minus weather would have been much harder to film in. Excited to see the rest of the series. I never consider traveling to another cold weather destination for vacation however, maybe once in my life I would like to see Sapporo or Harbin in the winter.

  3. Hey, I was there!!! Ordered that Amazake twice on separate days.. 300 yen a cup.. Needed that one to warm up. There are also free 2 cans of Asahi beer per day, one with an open top can, that needs lining up.. Nice to bounce around with those creepy things with blinking eyes near the TV Tower…

  4. This is such a cool video. Japan has some beautiful snow around where it snows in the country of Japan. Hope you had a good Valentine's day week Sarah.

  5. Great video as always! I was fortunate to been able to see the festival when I was in Japan last year. It's nice to see the new sculptures from this year! Especially Golden Kamuy.😂

  6. We did Sapporo and Hakodate in November. My body just cannot handle the constant air conditioning in cold cities, and got a sinus infection. Doing the Snow Festival is just never going to happen for me, unless I do it in a day without going in any buildings.

  7. At night, there was projection mapping onto the snow train station. Lovely narrative animation. Northern Alena, who lives in Sapporo, has a video.
