Shinkansen Adventure: First Class Journey Tokyo to Shizuoka, Mt. Fuji in Sight

Thank you for joining us on another journey with “Zurashi Travel”! This time, we took a round trip from Tokyo to Shizuoka using the tour service. While the fastest option on the Tokaido Shinkansen is the “Nozomi,” we opted for the “Hikari” as our destination was Shizuoka. Normally, using a reserved seat in the ordinary car costs ¥6,410 one way, totaling ¥12,820 for a round trip. Green car seats are priced at ¥8,740 one way. However, we managed to enjoy a 【Superb Value Trip】 for only ¥11,800 round trip, which even included a sushi meal valued at ¥2,880. We’re excited to share this incredible deal with you, although it’s a secret we’re hesitant to reveal!

This fantastic deal can typically be booked through “JR Tokai Tours” or “JTB” as it’s not available at the Midori no Madoguchi ticket counters. I personally made my reservation through “JTB,” which allowed me to choose from slightly earlier departure times. Additionally, I’ll let you in on a secret on how to purchase the highly sought-after Japanese whisky “Yamazaki,” even the 12-year-old version which is currently scarce!

You’ll also get to experience the Green Car with its stunning views of Mount Fuji, a sight that foreigners eagerly anticipate, as well as a comparison with the ordinary seats. Departing from Tokyo Station, you’ll have the opportunity to admire various trains, Tokyo Tower, and other landmarks along the way.

I hope you’ll watch this video and consider embarking on a delightful journey yourself. You’ll catch glimpses of the N700s, Doctor Yellow, Sunrise Izumo/Seto, Yamagata Shinkansen, Keihin-Tohoku Line, Tokaido Line, and more. By the way, we traveled on the latest N700s train. Don’t miss out on highlights like enjoying matcha and traditional Japanese sweets at “Ekiben” and “Suruga Castle,” viewing Mount Fuji from “Nihondaira Yume Terrace,” trying the “Most Intense Matcha Ice Cream in Japan,” and encountering the “Doctor Yellow” train. There’s so much to enjoy, so please have a great time!

For our international viewers, we encourage you to visit Japan and replicate this fantastic experience. And if you enjoy our content, please support our small channel by liking the video, subscribing, and watching our other videos. Thank you very much for reading through to the end of the description.

Hello. Thank you for always visiting Choo-Choo Travel. This time, I took a day trip from Japan’s capital, Tokyo Station, to Mt. Fuji and the tea town of Shizuoka. Do you know? There are very cheap tickets on sale in Japan right now. Start here! Start early in the morning from Tokyo Station!

Tokyo Station By making online reservations up to the day before, you can choose as many trains and seats as you want at a low price! Then, simply scan the issued QR code at the reserved seat ticket vending machine. The world has become really simple.

It’s as cheap as Plat Kodama, but the difference with this ticket is that if you miss your train, you can take a non-reserved seat on the following train.

This way, you can feel safe even in the worst case scenario! Tokyo⇔Shizuoka $78.55 (adult round trip, outbound: reserved seat in regular car, return: reserved seat in green car) Best of all, it comes with a “staggered travel coupon”! Ekiben is a part of traveling. Speaking of “Ekiben Festival”

You can rest assured that this place is open from 5:30 in the morning! I’m confused about this and can’t decide. This is definitely a very famous product! I’ve always wanted to try it someday! “Ebi Senryo Chirashi” $10.52, Oi Ocha $1.00 Let’s enter! Let’s hurry to the station platform! Ah, we’ve already arrived!

We are lucky. This is the latest N700s! This is the newest train on the Tokaido Shinkansen. Now, let’s head to Shizuoka! 103mi It’s “Hikari” so you can get there in 1 hour! It’s a lot of fun because you can see many trains from the train window from Tokyo Station.

Hey! ? This is the night train “Sunrise”. I would like to ride it soon. This is a win for the competition. Although he wasn’t serious at all, it was a comfortable victory. Let’s put our luggage upstairs. beautiful seats.

I took a regular seat on the way out and a green seat on the way back, so let’s compare! Let’s try reclining first. You’ll fall pretty deep. Shinkansen reflected in the building. If you close the blinds, you can block most of the light. Let’s leave it open for now.

Let’s put the green tea here. Wi-Fi and charging are available. Spread the table and have breakfast! It has become a postcard. “Shrimp Senryo Chirashi” Contains eel, yellowtail, steamed shrimp, squid, thick-fried egg, peeled shrimp, and gari. I’m looking forward to this one just like “Senryobako”! It doesn’t turn over well. can you see it?

There are many ingredients packed inside. Hmm. Very delicious! The eel inside is so luxurious. This is a jewelry box No time to enjoy the scenery… Oh! Almost there! Fuji Mountain! ! ! Let’s drink some tea and calm down. You can see that it is getting closer and closer.

Overtake the Shinkansen at a station along the way. The sea is now in sight. And I finished it! Fuji in winter is even more beautiful when covered with snow. A private space is maintained. Let’s move on to the toilet review. A device that lights up when you close the door.

I’ll be doing fewer toilet reviews than usual. It’s kept clean. Do not press this. Men’s. I think you can leave your luggage here. (Advance reservation is required.) It’s beautiful today because it’s not hidden by clouds! I’ll be getting off the train in no time. I need to prepare. Arrived.

Welcome to the tea town! Many Shinkansen trains pass through this station. Please take a look at how it passes at high speed! The conductor is so cool! Take care! I will enjoy Shizuoka to the fullest. Take your ticket home as a souvenir. this is? ? ?

An old phone turned into a plastic model…? Available. Now, this is the prefectural office, which is a few minutes walk from the station. You can see Mt. Fuji for free here. that…? It’s gone. . . ? I can see the sea too… Ah, there it is! It’s a city protected by Mt. Fuji.

This is the ruins of Sunpu Castle. let’s go. this is…? It seems to be a Tokugawa Ieyasu battle kit. It’s an interesting city because it’s a plastic model city. Akita dogs in Shizuoka? Cabs are tea, too. Part of the castle has been recreated. Let’s go in. That’s a great gate.

Did people in the past have a hard time passing through this area? There is a free guide. Apparently they cut down a 500-year-old black pine tree on Mt. Izu to make the gate here.

It seems that it was recreated from a drawing that was found in a carpenter’s house that dates back to the 1700s. It is, and always has been, awesome. Is this a cherry blossom? is blooming. Let’s go to the Japanese garden. Garden entrance fee $1.00 Apparently you can get matcha! A relaxing garden.

Is this the tea room? Wash your hands at Tsukubai… Let’s muster up the courage and go in. I’m looking forward to matcha. There are other senchas, but matcha is my only choice! ! It’s a quaint room. It was delivered quickly! Matcha and Japanese sweets $3.99. It feels Japanese.

The sweets are called “nerikiri,” and the name is “Yukichuuka.” They come from a shop called “Shohakudo,” and they don’t sell them in stores, so they only sell them wholesale. Yeah. delicious. Nerikiri is made by straining the red bean paste. Excellent compatibility with matcha.

It is good manners to drink matcha after eating all the sweets. I actually used both hands to make the bowl… (sorry for the photo shoot) Well, let’s enjoy this time without worrying about such small things. It seems that you can also serve roasted tea! This is also delicious. It’s very good.

I leave the store very satisfied. While being attracted to beautiful women in kimono… Let’s take a look around the garden. It’s a great atmosphere. Birds also come to visit. Thank you very much! There is a road inside the stone wall. Now, let’s have lunch! Local fish is still good.

This place has a stylish atmosphere. Why here? This sushi set fee is included in the tour. It also comes with a teacup with this Tokugawa family’s gate on it. We’ll have beer too! ($4.53, appetizer $2.20 yen) Oh oh! A big plate!

From the top left, “yellowfin tuna”, “squid”, “tuna”, “local horse mackerel”, “sakura shrimp”, “raw whitebait”, “white sea bream”, “eye sea bream”, “yagara”, “kamasu”…I’m looking forward to it! Thanks for the great tour! The “Shari” is also made with red vinegar. It’s delicious no matter what you eat.

As expected, there is a fishing port nearby. Beer will also be available. The second half came quickly. While being captivated by the fish being prepared in front of me… Completed the meal in no time. It also comes with miso soup with Aosa seaweed. Very satisfied! ! !

Now, let’s go see Mt. Fuji! There is also a direct bus from Shizuoka Station. It is quite a mountain road. The driver’s skills are amazing! ! Handle this handle! ! Let’s get off at “Nihondaira Yume Terrace Mae”! The view from here seems to be outstanding! First, take a drink.

Here we have “Matcha Latte”.($4.66) Ohhhhh! Let’s take a seat in this first class seat! Nice views! I was called. Matcha latte and Mt. Fuji. The children also have fun. A very sweet drink. It was a very relaxing time. Are the children on a walk or field trip to kindergarten? ?

Let’s head to the observation deck. Oh! The best! ! It says “Mt. Fuji”. I am so glad I was able to share this with you on a beautiful day. The sea is on the other side. Great location. The cherry blossoms are also starting to bloom. armor! ! this is…?

When you turn on the faucet…delicious “tangerine juice”! Mikan juice $1.33 Pour it full! This is…! ! delicious! ! ! They also sell a lot of souvenirs. It seems like you can get off on the ropeway, but it’s a long detour to get to the station… I’ll go home by bus. This tower…?

About 45 minutes to Shizuoka Station. ($3.93) The mailbox is also a plastic model. Here at Nanaya, you can enjoy the darkest matcha gelato in the world! Everyone is looking for this ice cream! $3.86 for a single cup! It looks like wine, but everything seems to have tea in it! Now, let’s try this much talked about gelato!

Nanaya uses only 100% contract-grown matcha from Fujieda City, Shizuoka Prefecture, to make the world’s thickest matcha gelato! Ho! This is very rich! This is the world’s thickest matcha gelato. It is seven times thicker than regular matcha! The sweetness of the gelato is almost imperceptible.

Even men with a sweet tooth can enjoy matcha sweets. A poll is being held asking, “What movie do you want to see in winter?” 1 vote for “Home Alone”. I returned to the station. I’m recommending “Doctor Yellow.” Now, let’s take the green car on the way home!

It seems that you can see it passing at high speed once every 5 minutes. Very impressive! ! Well, it’s here! It’s N700s again! The inside of the car was silent. This is my seat! Thank you Shizuoka! Let’s come again! ! Well, I have something to do right away.

This limited edition whiskey. Must order. I wonder if it’s still there…? For now, the order is complete. There are reading lights at the seats. There is also a heater. The sheets are soft and fluffy. You can put your feet on it. On the reverse side, take off your shoes and put them on.

Mr. Bear. Blinds are the same. Reclining. The seating arrangement is 2+2. (Regular seats are 2+3) A table is hidden in the armrest. There is a table further ahead. Oh, the drinks have arrived! I got Japanese whiskey along with Mt.

It’s hard to see clearly in the evening, but you can enjoy it to the fullest. Now, let’s enjoy “Yamazaki 12 Years”! For $9.79, it comes with ice and carbonated water or soda. Very very very small lol Let’s start with rock. Hmm. delicious. Since it was small at 50ml, I added another bottle.

By the way, this is the last one. An instant bar counter has been born! It is heading towards Tokyo at a distance of 173mi.(280km) If you look online, you can see where all Shinkansen trains run. Of course, charging and Wi-Fi are also available. Move the table forward.

Just check the toilet…(Don’t need it anymore?) The color may be slightly different. It’s been cleaned nicely. Place your luggage here or at the end of the seat. (Advance reservation required) There are green cars in the middle three cars of the 16-car train. There are order sheets and books on the seats.

The night view of Tokyo came into view. I felt relaxed. I’ll be back soon, but don’t worry, the ninjas are there. The art of rotation. You cannot board the mini Shinkansen. Oh…? Yellow Shinkansen…? This is called “Doctor Yellow” and is a popular Shinkansen train!

However, I can’t get in because it’s an inspection vehicle! ! It operates on a whim, so you’ll be lucky if you come across it! That’s why many people are flocking to it. Very popular with children! Oh, I thought we were going to collide. .

See you on another trip or at a museum somewhere! Always comment and like! thank you!
