Live from Nankinmachi, China Town KobešŸ„³ #livestream #vlogjapan

Join us as we explore the vibrant celebrations of the Spring Festival in Kobe Nankinmachi Chinatown. I started live from Motomachi station and walked towards China town. This historic district comes alive with colorful lanterns, traditional performances, and mouthwatering street food during this auspicious time.

Japan boasts three major Chinatowns, each with its unique charm: Nagasaki, Kobe, and Yokohama. In Kobe, the festivities are particularly lively, drawing locals and tourists alike to immerse themselves in the rich cultural heritage of the Chinese community.

Capture the festive spirit, sample delectable dumplings, and witness mesmerizing lion dances as we document this joyful occasion. Donā€™t forget to hit that subscribe button and stay tuned for more exciting vlogs from Japan!

Actually, we had to leave halfway through the festival due to too many people and security guards, but the Chinese New Year Festival will continue until February 12, so if you are in Kobe, why not visit?

I’m in front of the station I’m heading to the chinat town today because today is the first day of the Chinese New Year okay in Japan we don’t celebrate Chinese year as a nation but uh you know we have the chinat toown in KOB so we have the

Kind of ceremony and the events over there so let me check it out there are three uh China Town in Japan the major China Town in Japan the Nagasaki K and Yokohama so uh yuk is the largest one but Nagasaki has the longest history yokoh KOB and Yokohama has over

150 years history of the China Town in Japan and Nagasaki over uh over 400 years so it’s quite long hi do you know in Japan I made a video short video about Coan long long time ago there about 14,000 um Coan in Japan it’s Coan is a local police stations

Police police station station or just a very small the police officer station over there and if you have any question you see the people just drop by maybe they ask for the directions so you can use as you know if you get lost uh wherever in

Japan uh you can ask to the police also you know Lost Property like forgot lost the um war or whatever valuable items then ask the aan thean system is quite good so many countries it’s originated in Japan but uh it’s uh kind of uh imitated by other

Country as well I mean learn from Japan about 8Ā° C actually I’m hot now so I was running late so I don’t need this about 48Ā° F right now a little bit noisy because it’s the in front of the big load so over there Sania station and actually

It’s a walk distance about less than 10 minutes you can reach to um next station here is motoi but the Sania and motoi is a quite large station of course theom is largest in K but the here uh Moto also very popular place uh for shopping I’m heading to the

CH actually I went there last last evening uh they are preparing for their dance L on dance so I I posted on the stories the short video front of station I’m walking towards the sea area seide I CH town so that is s Cy so actually

From the Sania to motoi is a uh the shopping Arcade Street quite long but only about 10 minutes plus so is a chain coffee shop and Pharmacy they also sell the snacks as well sweets and snack as well so that’s also franchise uh 71 of course and uh they have the small um

The green small it’s not worm it’s it’s um micro worms not worm i’ say it’s very valuable for us um they generates the um y make make it use the sunlight and make it Power um for the that I use any anyway sorry forgot anyway that’s shop changing a lot

So this is a very popular um department store called daaru also in Tokyo as well but I think daaru is uh from K I think so it’s a m Crossing so here is a M the group tour so many people out today it’s been under construction for many years not many years but few years then now it’s a broader pedestrian walk it’s nice I see the so it’s a group tour guess K entrances this is an entrance for the China Town so in Japanese

Called it’s a spring season Festival so that is a Chinese New Year as I said that we don’t celebrate Chinese year as a nation in Japan but because uh we have a china town here in KOB so I just came here and they have the some festival and very Lively

So I can’t hear the sound of the drum so that is a so many sui means pine pine tree P the Poland season so if you have allery please be careful it seems that going to have the um that Poland season for the uh pine tree so if you have Al please be

Here is A it’s just nice size I like it it’s very nice size and has a longest history over 400 years but over 150 years and Y I never expected This [Laughter] For I only show the clouds of people that’s I could even couldn’t reach to There Seei ice cream Fortune from 12 p.m. the the shops Chang I never seen this before so such a and I think it’s a lottery and if you win then you can get good deals but here is that kind of Sor you couldn’t win so you I give you uh this item small item for sorry that means sorry I give you

This small little thing for you because you don’t win so that is means regret Regret the is a very popular Nik uh the power the the Pok to uh shops uh just in front of the that the space area uh for the event so you always uh queuing up people are queuing up so I’m going back to because there’s so

Many people and Only One Direction so I don’t think I can go back on but actually I walked already halfway in the crowds so it’s is CH is not that so big only two blocks um very Nice thank you for tuning tuning in and thank you for supporting for the patre as always this is you can have Cofe inside yeah it’s kind of some nice uh gift for the life crackers a moving season uh people you know uh in Japan usually the April is a

Start of starting months of the year for the schools and the companies so uh people moving coming in and out uh in February March around that a vending machine only 100 yen one water 80 Yen the ship yes I’m sweating just before was 8Ā° C which is 48 Fahrenheit but now it’s too

Hot it’s a good weather today I just came back to the street uh straight street from the uh motoi station so yeah hi if you go straight and you can reach to the American Park in the seaside it’s very nice breeze and nice view and the

Next is the uh H land that is a popular to most popular uh destination the tourist destination in in k hi the school season and moving season September they starting the school September right uh so it’s the school ends uh July uh I remember when I was in the

US what the temperature I just say 8 de I think more than that I guess eight or nine or 10 around that um uh uh uh Celsius for the fit is about 48 de fit yesterday as well I think they’re going to have the ch my my pretty not

Puppy my H Tommy the Poo at home right now I’m missing the comments of course uh there’s some cheap uh shop uh cheap drinking PR as well but uh um they renovated just uh in front of the Sania station so it’s uh rather nice and uh uh relatively a b expensive area but

It’s it’s very nice nice view yeah a lot of varieties I just came from here I think that’s let’s walk to the Alle this is a main street I think I saw the map I just want to show Here too many people are here so I couldn’t move so I came back and I walk back to here so I walked halfway so that’s it so only two blocks well it’s just nice size and let’s walk to the other side way that’s also very interesting as well

So yeah this is a Chinese New Year and as I say this is my third time to say okay Japan we don’t celebrate Chinese New Year as a nation but uh uh whever you have the China Town uh we have this kind of Festival there are many Chinese I mean I mean originally

Chinese people who grown up in Japan or course uh many many like here uh they’re running the Chinese uh restaurant and uh many I don’t know how many but there are many Chinese living in Japan so uh this uh we have the China have China let’s looks so delicious custard pudding Cheesecake does anyone loves I love It change the shop to the S par um jewelry shop so I’m walking the side alleys of chinat toown because the main street is so many people hi Al you know what we don’t celebrate ch but it’s um you know whatever is uh events and Happy Looks happy event Festival we just come and enjoy time here is a eel shop a e restaurant I love the E so e is like this in the summer we eat e because we

Need a St it smells so good it’s so sweet sweet smell H just freshly baked um the sh cream I think sh cre [Laughter] wow steak but this yeah it’s a cream puff it’s cream puff we call it the shoe cream they have the panda shoe I see I see where do you live now the next yeah of course I can take you because both are my favorite foods t t made kimono shop I think so this is the uh uh shopping street they have the lessons for the cheese ceremony T 1000 yen for the experience

Only is 1,000 yen for once nice we call it selling the Japanese know then we just uh sew it and then make this kimono so only this length is a maximum uh so uh for Japanese uh kind of people slim people so can make it but if it’s a

Bigger size then it’s quite difficult to make it because this size is limited I think I make they’ll make it somehow for the bigger size there are so many Beef restaurant in in I came here before M I think around 10 10 n years ago I came

Here I mean that the uh SE show there are many co SE show and don’t don’t make a mistake we Japanese don’t eat uh K beef or uh the sushi every day because they are expensive as well expensive so but it’s tast different if you never

Tried your Co you must try because it’s totally different and melt in your mouth so because too many people I think People nice to have a nice weather day going out I love it it’s a Chinese Restaurant it’s a beef noodle beef noodle we can try out the uh drinking the soup ah they have the K beef uh bones and hakak the Anis and some Chinese uh Arabs to make that soup of this uh noodle it’s a beef nood I couldn’t show you too many

  1. Wow, so crowded there at the Kobe Chinatown, yet such a festive atmosphere! I especially like hearing your insights. Learned a lot about Japan's oldest Chinatown through your video. šŸ˜Š
