Thanks a lot for watching and safe journeys!

Oh Hey there Aloha and good morning from lovely honol on the North Shore of kawaii Hawaii on a overcast and previously quite rainy day today it is wet around here so I am here with company someone uh eating a brunch there we got a couple of breakfast burritos and some drinks so

We took the bus up from Kapaa and had aspirations of adventuring but not the greatest day for it especially because we don’t have a car and so the plan was to hitchhike from here as I showed in my last video that uh hitchhiking in Hawaii works pretty

Well at least that time it did so uh the bus comes here it was an hour bus ride from Kapaa to get here and then this is the end of the bus line and so it is about 25 minutes or so driving to the end of the road at Ka

Beach where the kalala trail starts I have done that hike uh many many times but uh the idea was to just get down to the end of the road and show the beach there and there’s the Blue Room the cool like uh underground Lake out there but

Uh if it’s going to be raining on us don’t really want to get stuck in the rain trying to Hitch hike so point being I have no idea what this video is going to be it might end up being over the next uh several days if we don’t do

Anything too exciting today because uh we have three more days here that uh the person that you will meet later is here with me yesterday we went to secret beach one of the best beaches on the island and in the world but I didn’t film at all and so

Uh just going to make the most of it and uh see what happens so all right my breakfast burrito is getting cold so uh a brunch and then we’ll see what happens the uh ocean a very nice Bay is right over there we’ll probably go check that

Out hon Center lots of restaurants Shave Ice barbecue Etc so I here with hey Anna who is Mexican ameran yeah now I am like really she got American citizenship and is now living in the US and working and uh she had the time off and so met up

Here and so hard to see but uh there’s some spectacular looking waterfalls right there and Anna had seen them from the bus when we came in and thought how can we get closer to them but unfortunately it’s kind of impossible because basically it’s just fullon uh jungle okay well let’s just start

Walking this way and see if we can get a little closer so there’s no roads back there I mean there’s probably some Trails or something but there’s a river over there Etc but you can see like really incredible waterfalls so one of the wetest spots on Earth is Mount Wale

Ali which is in the middle of the island out there somewhere and today is one of those wet days so let’s walk over to the bay honay bay go check it out walk through the town lovely honay where Puff the Magic Dragon lives so it’s a small little town this

Is the center of it the beach is a short walk Away so this is honay Bay and it is a good example of the fact that there are indeed seasons in Hawaii there is summer and winter the waves are bigger it’s cooler it’s more likely to be rainy honay Bay is generally uh quite calm it was raining this morning so maybe also it’s

A little more stirred up than usual even for uh winter Winters are just kind of more variable in that it can be a hot sunny day and warm but today is quite chilly the only reason that I have this uh warmer shirt on is because the bus is always blasting the air

Conditioning and so I brought the long sleeve shirt just to uh wear on the bus and then we got here and it’s chilly as well so I’m glad that I have it so uh before coming here I sent Anna a music video which I will recommend Kobe

Cal which was filmed around here and so that’s the pier where the girls jump off into the ocean so uh I was here in 2008 and went back to the mainland and then went on all kinds of Adventures and then ultimately ended up working in Jasper National Park I drove up there found

That job late in uh 2008 in like summer um August September and I was sitting in the housing like living room area watching music videos and this music video came on Kobe KH remember the name the little things it’s called and I had never heard of her

Before and then I’m watching the music video and realized it’s all filmed around palay I recognize all of the uh scene she’s making burgers at the Bubba Burgers uh place which is right over there which I just discovered is out of business and no longer there I was going

To show Anna the bub Burgers anyways uh so this is often times a more crowded scene there will be like umbrellas and stuff but uh not many people today so not a great day for uh beach activities what do you feel like want to just like walk down to the pier or we

Can do like a loop walk down there and then come around back the road yeah so good okay now I could be wrong but I think this is where Beth Hamilton I think the uh woman who lost an arm to a shark attack surfing and there was a movie made about

Her I think that was right out in honay Bay like she was way out there and speaking of which I was in Hawaii in uh 2015 and went to Wahu and then was just like on a bus tour I think and we stopped at this uh surf competition and it turned out Beth

Hamilton was there surfing is part of the competition there’s the pier so Anna has been in previous videos all in Mexico in F Carman yeah I think Cancun did we oh yeah oh no to salute Ean got Ean so good be careful you don’t lose your

Hat and then and Z Baja yeah Baja and Baja that was the last one like more than two years ago so uh Anna has been in the United States living and working here for 2 and 1/2 years okay first question have you had any Mexican food

That was like up to the level of good Mexican food um I know I have good tacos tacos but not really not as good as the best stuff in Mexico yeah to be expected because the best of the Mexican Cuisine is more to the South so that food is not

Very popular yes those kinds of dishes you don’t find in Mexican restaurants here did you ever try Taco Bell yeah we friends what did you have tacos or uh yeah I guess yeah something like that but just after after we go to a party or something and after that like okay let’s

Go for something to eat and they are open until very late like 2:00 a.m. yeah and is it edible would you say like it’s there are not tacos it’s other thing but it’s okay yeah do they actually have chalupas in Mexico chalupa yes okay yeah that’s my favorite thing

Actually it’s Taco Bell is chalupas I’m sure they’re quite different in Mexico but so do you have any other kind of impressions of the US compared to Mexico like anything that stands out as far as how life is different or well obiously it’s very I mean it’s another

Style of life but it’s okay yeah I guess he had a good idea what it was going to be like beforehand anyways from movies and stuff so 20 minutes to the end of the road there Nepali Coast the kalala trail Nepali means the cliffs in

Hawaiian and so it is a section of 15 miles where there’s no Road only the uh trail that goes along it and then even the trail stops and there’s 5 miles with no Trail or anything and so to get to the other side you have to drive all the

Way around the island that would take you like I don’t know a couple hours or something to get to poah Hal at the other end of the road out there there is a lot to see on kauwaii it is really packed with uh you know more beaches

Than all of the other Hawaiian Islands combined and then tons of waterfalls there’s one that we were looking at earlier jungle hiking wame Canyon is like the Grand Canyon of Hawaii so what are the Hawaiian words you’ve learned so far the what Hawaiian words H yes Maho Al yeah Maho

Al another one yes exactly family you say Hawaiian Kamaya Kamaya yeah it’s nice who are let’s see what else uh well laai is like the patio Le yes the flower necklace yeah pow means finished like the Papaya’s pow there’s none left and then uh a sacred spiritual spot is a

Hao a place where there would be ceremonies Hawaiian ceremonies there’s one out at the kalala valley that’s really amazing really interesting uh spot just like this kind of grassy area that’s almost like a carpet or something you could sit on and then a nice view and

Stuff and I think that’s pretty much the end of our Hawaiian language lesson Ono means something but now I forget what that is and kapoo is forbidden so Anna is feeling adventurous and she is going to jump in the water you will edit it right what’s that

You’re going to edit this because this will edit all the time where I’m getting confus something yes yes exactly if it takes 5 minutes we’ll edit that part out very shallow about how shallow they’re standing up out here they’re standing up out here so don’t dive okay yeah you so you’re jump

Here I don’t know I’ve seen people jump off here I thought it was I think jump jum probably is okay excuse me how deep is it there your legs okay dive yeah oh okay good good say don’t he said he said don’t dive it’s six or seven

Feet he said so yeah you should be fine yeah I’m Hing so yeah you just you don’t want to you don’t want to dive shallow yeah great thanks just bring your feet up a little bit as you go in the water but I think either way you’re going to

Be fine take the sci I mean I I’m a smaller than that yeah give me a second y I’m not good on jumping the water I never know who to break it and always just like you do swim right I am I I I swim swim really yeah yeah yeah the problem

Is not swimming the problem is just jumping yeah yeah nice swim cold not too cold good yeah thank you yep good job you survived yeah we’re back in town at the Chingy young Village the heart of honay okay where’ Anna go Genuinely lost Her we’re just going to catch the bus back the next one is in like 30 minutes not great weather for attempting to hitchhike and possibly get stuck in the rain spam I’m not sure exactly it’s like a mix of stuff okay let’s get across the street so I found Anna she was missing

For a little while there and we found a beer before the bus there’s the bus stop $2 a person no matter how far you’re going so we got a little time to chillax Yeah [Applause] oh H Oh A

  1. The bus fare is the best deal on the island (similar for Maui bus also). I sprained my ankle on the kalalau trail walking to the waterfall, that trail is treacherous and really muddy after rain. My favorite Hawaiian island is Maui though.

  2. Congratulations to Annaโ™ฅ๏ธ๐Ÿค๐Ÿ’™ Sheโ€™s beautiful, and a great addition to your traveling videos.

  3. I really liked taco bell when it was in sydney in 2000, you used to be able to choose the heat by 3 bells or something, and it was really fun and was very nice. Taco bell came back to sydney a few years ago and it's different now, not hot enough and don't think it tastes as nice as other sydney mexican fast food like guzmen y gomez, and mad mex

  4. Ana seems so chill, you guys are similar in that regard. Like her presence in your videos and those burritos looked delicious.

  5. Beautiful Ana would make an excellent continuous companion to your magnificent travel videos. During my VW campervan journey through all of North and South America I met a Mexican girl on Zipolite Beach and I ended up marrying her when my van was stolen in Spain after nearly three years of travel. As a result I spent much time in Mexico and enjoying that amazing country and its fine culture which I was able to share with her family. So if that is your future with this lovely lady then by all means I recommend it. Good luck.

  6. FYI, never visit hawaii during the winter months (we have a winter rain, dark overcast). The waters will be brackish, trails muddy, just not a visitors paradise….May-summer months are the best

  7. You got yourself a nice girlfriend. It was about time. Valentine 2024 โ™ฅ next week. ๐Ÿ’–๐ŸŒน๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ ๐Ÿฅฐ

  8. Indian waiting for green card for decades๐Ÿ’€. She must have contributed with extraordinary ability to help our economy
